You seemed to have made this mistake in all of your videos but the 1900s was not the 19th century, it was the twentieth century, you also seem to call the 1800s the 18th century in other videos etc. Think of it like this the first century was up until the year 100, so the year 101 was the second century etc.
The same thing with RON L. HUBBARD, every CHURCH OF SCIENTOLOGY has an office with big portrait of Ron, and the desk light is always on, like he's controlling everything from above. It's alive!
Here are some other facts about Kim Il-sung: Starting in the late 1970s, he developed a tumor-like growth on the back of his neck which was a calcium deposit. Its location near his brain and spinal cord made it inoperable. Because of its ugly appearance, North Korean reporters always shot and filmed Kim Il Sung from his same slight left angle to hide the tumor, which became a difficult task as the growth reached the size of a baseball by the late 1980s. The tumor is still visible on his embalmed body. Was greatly admired by American journalist and commentator Robert Scheer, formerly of The Los Angeles Times. He was born on the same day as the sinking of the RMS Titanic. After World War II, he was installed as the leader of North Korea by Joseph Stalin and the Soviet Union to serve as a puppet for Soviet interests, mainly because of his reputation as an anti-Japanese resistance leader which was almost certainly exaggerated. He continued to control the country after the Soviets cut ties under Nikita Khrushchev. Most of his education was in Chinese, and when he was installed as the leader of North Korea, his Korean speaking ability was limited.
I was stationed in South Korea in 1974, me and a couple of buddies were at these girls apartments , and one of my buddies was drunk. He started hollering out the window ,Kim ll sung sucks , he nothing but a coward , people in the village were so scared of Sung they came out and started telling him to be quiet , and one of the girls grabbed him and pulled him back in saying No No No ,don't say things like that , don't know who is listening.. @@FabricadeBasme I didn't say we had a perfect past. I didn't mention history at all. I'm talking about the present day. Are you saying you think you'd be better off in NK? What an absurd comment.
The "world" does not need to interfere with the government of North Korea or any other sovereign country. If that country commits an act of war, then there may be justification.
Not sure that's right. What about Nazi Germany? Wouldn't the holocaust have justified breaking state sovereignty? What if a state leader doesn't treat an ethnicity or a whole part of its own people as humans? Who then is to advocate for them if their own state turns against them?
Hi, I need to point out an important error. The DPRK is still at war with the U.S and it's allies, not the Republic Of Korea. The North Koreans don't recognize South Korea as anything other than illegally occupied territory. Also the Republic handed over fighting of the war to the Americans.
I loved South Korea as a duty station for 2 years, So much good food and everyone is so polite. And to think that the most oppressive country in the world was only a few miles north.
It is claimed that the 30,000 US troops in South Korea are an army of occupation, preventing the peaceful re-unification of the peninsula. .seem to ave found the Koreans to be friendly and polite, with no resentment against the USA
Great doco. I love it when I learn something as I watch them everyday. It’s part of my recharge batteries routine. J didn’t know they had a teir that dictated their lives and future children affected.
Honestly sounds like the Kim’s especially the first resented Koreans. He couldn’t speak the language barely, and totally destroyed most Norhth Koreans entire lives. Sad really
Though I like this channel very much, in this video something is off. The narration lacks the zest of a… North Korean TV anchorwoman in a pink hanbok. There should be a „our magical great leader“ at least in every second sentence. Not impressed. (Satire off.)
They are not sure that the guerilla leader is the same Kim as the person who became leader of North Korea. There is some rumor that Kim took the place of the rebel leader.
Very informative, but not without errors. The Juche Tower is not, as claimed, the most impressive building in Pyongyang; this distinction is held by an unfinished pyramid-styled hotel edifice. Three countries were divided after 1945; Germany, Vietnam and Korea; each was divided at the insistence of the USA, for its own reasons.Vietnam was divided for 30 years, Germany for 40 years, and Korea remains divided after almost 80 years. Man they consider that first President of South Korea, Syngman Rhee, was an American puppet, having spent decades there before his appointment.
Largely agree but how can you say in the same video that north korea should abandon its nuclear arms aswell as saying that the west should make an intervention if they do?
So what would have happened if the US minded its own business and allowed North Korea to take the south? The South was an insidious dictatorship itself, should I believe the total destruction of the north by the US improved the settlement of things?
