I rode behind 611 Sometime in the 80's from Roanoke to Lynchburg. What a thrill. Thanks for the memories, and your excellent footage.
8:51 Love this shot! The location, the angle, the sound and speed of the train as 611 hits that final curve.
Awesome video of a beautiful machine, thanks for sharing
Superb scenes of this ultimate machined--many thanks for sharing with us who can't see her in person!
Thank you so much! It must have been a pretty big effort to get all that footage, and I want you to know I really appreciate it.
I love the fact that they run this without an out of place diesel electric in the string
Timeless design, the very peak of it's kind.
Great Photography...Great Video...and no music! Perfect. :)
Awesome video! Really had fun chasing on Sunday. I was riding in the Summit View Monday morning.
I love this engine...and this video. Thanks so much for posting. God bless you.
Lovely scene at Montgomery Tunnels as the smoke lingers around the train!
Oren Helbok it was probably one of my top three favorite shots from that weekend, and the whole runby could only be described as an experience. My choices were between the tunnel and Lyndall Curve but I'm actually kinda glad I went with the tunnel 😁
Blue Comet Productions that tunnel shot is aces
The dissolves and editing make this a real pleasure to watch. The pony troting across the field at 10:20 is an added charm. Good job! I thank you. :-)
LWOPP even the pony run to watch the steemer

4:51 why do steam engines sometimes give out long hisses instead of puffs?
Nice video! You caught me beginning at 9:03 in the very bottom left corner of your shot. I am the guy with the yellow vest on.
Real nice, especially the Lynchburg departure shot.
Cool Video
Engineer be like the greenies see me rollin...they hatin....trying to stop me ridin dirty
Look how green the trees are close to the track....they live the smokey co2
In my opinion 4014 is the king of steam 611 is the queen of steam
Is it me or does the 611 almost always stall but the r b m n 425 never stalls on hometown hill
