    Eggs are vegetarian.
    Vegetarian = no meats
    Vegan = no animal products AT ALL (sometimes even including body care products)
    Lacto-ovo vegetarians eat eggs & dairy.
    Lacto vegetarians have dairy but avoid eggs.
    Ovo vegetarians eat eggs but avoid dairy.
    Thanks for coming to my ted talk

      Thanks for your ted talk. Just wanted to add one more...
      Pescatarian = no meats except fish (and sometimes eggs & dairy)

      @@2miscme just wondering, if you're pescatarian, can you also eat other seafood like shrimp or crab?

    • @2miscme
      @2miscme 5 років тому +65

      @@aaryapandya2320 If you follow the standard pescatarian diet, then the bulk of nutrients comes from plants and then fish, including crustaceans like shrimp and crab, but some people also include dairy & eggs.
      That being said, I don't like to put people or diets into categories. If some other pescatarian decides they can eat more or less of the categories I suggested, I wouldn't argue. It's their choice. We all need to decide what the best diet is for ourselves. ~Cheers!

    Made the first dish, the Swedish meatballs, last night and it was DELICIOUS!! After seeing several comments about the meatballs falling apart once the gravy ingredients were added and the pasta not having enough time to cook, I decided to cook everything separately. I’m sooooo happy I did because I was even having problems flipping the meatballs without falling apart! I also saw comments about the sauce not having much flavor for someone who cooked the meatballs separately so after I removed the cooked meatballs, I used the same pan to make the gravy with all the leftover juices from the meatballs. The meatballs seemed to firm up as they cooled down. I then combined them all in the same pan to finish cooking and it came out amazing!!!

      Hey mind if I ask what you are supposed to cook the meatballs in? (I know this comment was made like a year ago but I need to know lol) It looks like they're being shallow fried in olive oil or something but it's not specified in the video.

    • @thalovelysetty9879

      @OldBen I have made mushroom burgers with similar ingredients as the veggieballs they made in this video, and I used olive oil, which is usually what I use to cook with and I've never had a problem with my food sticking. You could also use avocado or coconut oil because they have a high smoke point.

    I tried the meatballs but they totally fell apart! As I still had half of it, I added an egg for a small quantity of the raw dough kinda thing and shaped it into a hamburger. 1 egg for 2 - 3 hamburguers. Then, I put them into the air frier (I think it would work in the oven, fried or grilled as well). It turned out amaaazing!! Best vegetarian hamburguer ever.

    I cooked the first one and it was really nice but its makes a lot of food (around 5-6 people). I'm not very experienced with cooking and when I created the sauce with the meatballs in the mixture, the meatballs quickly came apart and I found the pasta wouldn't cook. I still had lots of meatball mixture however and decided to start again and cooked the sauce, pasta and meatballs in 3 separate pots and then combined them at the end which worked better 😊

    My Swedish meatballs wont hold together, and the pasta took far too long to cook, breaking the meatballs apart. I strongly suggest you cook the pasta separately, adding meatballs at the end

    • @emmashaw4476
      @emmashaw4476 5 років тому +5

      I'm with you on that. My meatballs were falling apart, and it took more than 1 minute to cook on each side.

    • @miasantoschura8307
      @miasantoschura8307 3 роки тому

      I made my own version with chickpeas, egg and breadcrumbs, when I was little I made hamburgers with my aunt and it's similar so I only modified the recipe. They don't fall apart and cook really quick.

    • @adrianacruz9222
      @adrianacruz9222 5 років тому +3

      Simon Le There's more oil when frying french fries and lots of other things that aren't vegan like...the real Swedish meatballs for example

    • @tungle8896
      @tungle8896 5 років тому +3

      Yeah, but do they take all the oil which was used to fry the fries to make the sauce? lol

    • @emmabrand5450
      @emmabrand5450 5 років тому +5

      Simon Le I made them and just put a drop of oil. Works fine :) no need for all that grease

    What's so great about cooking everything in "one-pot" while measuring the ingredients using many different bowls/spoons? Isn't the point to make cooking less of a hassle?

      @Juno That's something Italians hate. You can't roll the pasta with your fork if the pasta is broken. In Spain some people break it into a lot of pieces or cut it after being cooked, and then just pick the pasta with the fork. And I really suffer watching it 😂

    I made the Swedish meatballs. Really good. I had to make it gluten & dairy free, so I switched out a few things. I make my own veggie stock, too. Used gf pasta, breadcrumbs & flour. I also added broccoli into the pot in the last 3 minutes of cooking. Excellent meal. Thanks!
