As a 55 y.o. going through perimenopause, I have found weight training to have the biggest impact on my well being. I do a video at home three days per week, alternating days with cardio. I wish that I had incorporated the things you are talking about 20 years ago! To all of the women out there, please don’t wait to begin taking care of yourself!❤
at 59(60 in April!) and fully menopausal I totally agree! I wish I had known this at the beginning of perimenopause. I do age appropriate weight training several times a week and cardio the other days. I follow a lady named Lauren on SeniorShapeFitness here on UA-cam. I also recently got a rebounder and do 10 mins or so several times a week on that. I looooooooove that thing! When I saw Jennifer using one I checked it out. :) So thankful for Jennifer and all the daily connoisseurs!!
I've been weight training, on and off, for 20 yrs. I love it because it changes your body and your ability to physically manage tasks like no other form of exercise. The best part is that it only requires 20 minutes/day to see results. Now that I'm in menopause, I'm so thankful that I only have to maintain muscle mass; not try and increase it.♥️🇨🇦
Taking care of my 3 little kids all day long, I realized I was eating poorly because I was too busy to feed myself well--hungry and eating junky foods all day. Intermittent fasting has really helped in a way. Since when I start to eat in the morning is once the kids have already been served and have settled into their happy play, I can focus on what my meal consists of. I'm also placing more emphasis on protein and fat and not going for all the carbs all the time. Spending time with Jesus at 5:30am no matter how late I went to bed is also important. It really effects my kids. I don't want to wait until they're older to be less stressed/a better mother just because right now is so difficult to prioritize it.
Jennifer, I truly admire how disciplined you are. That’s something I’m definitely working on this year. When you know things that will help your health but lack the discipline to create the habit. Thanks for the motivation!
Resistance/weight training to build lean muscle mass is so vital to women's health. I loved hearing you talk about it! Your goals are very well rounded. Hope you have a great year!!
2024 is the year I'm going to seriously work on getting my health back. 2023 found me with a uterine cancer diagnosis, I've had two surgeries and lots of scans. It was a rare and very dangerous cancer but because it was found very early I don't have to take chemo - what a blessing. Now to do the hard work of getting my health to the best possible place. I have simplified many areas of my life and now my focus is on physical and mental well being. I'd like to recommend a book by Michael Greger, MD., "How Not To Age" - it's full of interesting information. To all the ladies that might read this - if you have any physical symptom that concerns you, see a doctor asap and don't be shy to ask for a second opinion. Because I pushed for extra tests and finally a hysterectomy, it saved my life. I love your vlogs - keep them coming. Happy New Year from a longtime fan in SC.
As a way to bump up the protein in regular oatmeal, try adding in a 1/2 cup of egg whites into your almost cooked stovetop oatmeal (boil water, add oats, cook until almost all of the water is incorporated) and stir constantly until they are fluffy and all incorporated. It's delicious and bulks up the oats to be more satiating and less of a blood sugar crash after. Doesn't taste eggy either!
The most helpful information that found me last year was the concept that exercise has to be applied in the appropriate 'dose' to be effective for physical improvement and growth without creating so much stress that it becomes counterproductive. What I finally understood is that athletes who are held as idealized are actually asking more from their bodies than a human should, and as a result often suffer from the extremes in injury that most people do not have to bear. Michael Matthew's weight lifting advice has helped me put muscle on with little effort. His book 'thinner, leaner, stronger ' is very useful for beginners. His approach is more conservative than most in that area of expertise.
I forgot to leave a comment back when you first published this video, so I don’t know if you will see this comment, but I need to tell you that your sponsorship of LMNT has literally SAVED my low blood pressure! Throughout my first and second trimester of pregnancy, my blood pressure was getting worse and worse. I was almost passing out and so lightheaded that I could barely take care of my 4 little kids. Some days I had to lie in bed because my low blood pressure was making me so ill. I kept trying to get ahold of my doctor, but it was my mom who told me that I needed to add in an electrolyte drink for my blood pressure. Literally the next day, you had an advertisement for LMNT and I immediately bought some (this was back in November or December). Within 3 days I was feeling better, and within a week my blood pressure was healed. I cannot thank you enough for being sponsored by LMNT! I initially bought a huge 4 pack, then went and bought another 4 pack after trying all the free samples and finding my favorites. I drink it every morning religiously and my body craves it first thing in the morning!
Jennifer, thank you so much for continuing to share your lifestyle and planning with us. It’s always inspirational and helpful. One thing I have always appreciated about you was your down to earth, balanced approach to life and health. Of course, you must do what is right for you, but as a viewer, I hope you don’t venture much into dietary extremism with people like Bryan Johnson. I’m not saying his approach is wrong. I’m just saying that is a whole different lifestyle than I have appreciated this channel for.
I'm just sharing Bryan's lentil recipe and watching him has made me appreciate the importance of sleep more. But don't worry, I won't start taking 60 pills a day. You know I'm not about extremes.
I agree with you, Jennifer. The mind piece is the most important part. Through journaling, I find peace and understanding for myself. I write also in a gratitude notebook and have found over time I am more reflective. I also love a rebounder and find it calming and gives me better balance physically and mentally. I feel optimistic about the year 2024 and that good things are on the horizon. Wishing you, your family, and your viewers all the best this year.
You always inspire me to try to elevate all areas of my life! Thank you! And I'm don't feel so alone in my willingness to maintain self-discipline! I also make it a point to re-read The Madame Chic Series Every Year! I always retain something new I hadn't before!
I really admire your commitment to continued self improvement. I love the idea that we never stop improving or learning! I wanted to share my streamlined super veggie meal process. I buy the riced cauliflower and broccoli frozen mix and always have that on hand in my freezer. I can make a large batch of lentils in the rice cooker and throw in dried mushrooms which you can find in any international grocery store. I mix everything together and store in the fridge. I once heard the term “spoon salad” and feel like that is the perfect description! It’s easy to make in a large batch and sits very well for a few days. Thank you for your dedication and willingness to share!
Building muscle is one thing I'm working on too. I'm now in my mid 40s and in perimenopause. Weight loss is much harder now. One key I've been reading is to build muscle NOW! That is a big component to weight loss in this season because we're losing it rapidly now.
I appreciate you talking about stress! I think there is a misconception that if you are organized and well prepared you simply cannot be stressed. And although being planned and prepared is tremendously helpful (and chic!!) stress is a part of life and how you deal with it is everything! Prioritizing rest is key. Thank you for your words on this!
Agree - In 2023, I had a stressful situation with a neighbour. We can plan and be organised all we like but other people can impact our lives in major ways too.
I am learning to really slow down and be more intentional with my time and energy. If it's unhealthy stress I am just letting it go. Thank you, Jennifer for another lovely and inspiring video. You are helping me be my best self!!
I've been health conscious for many years but I really plan on stepping up my goals for the future. Hear is a funny story, 18 years ago I took yoga classes and loved them but for me the hardest part was just leaving the house so I decided to become a yoga teacher myself. I got my certification now I can't miss a class because I'm the teacher, it's a win win! Thanks Jennifer for the video!
Omg Jennifer you’re so amazing and inspiring. I admire you so much. My baby is now 16mo and I’m starting to get back to some new normality. I got this new full-time job that I like a lot that made me move my whole family to the west coast (I’m your neighbor on the northern side) and my baby attends childcare. There’s a lot to work on but your videos make me feel better about this drastic change! Thank you from the bottom of my ❤
The varied fasts are so much harder for me too! I was doing well with 16/8; occasionally longer or shorter as life permitted or prevented. But since learning concepts from Mindy Pelz, I’ve actually fallen off the fasting bandwagon. I probably need to schedule my fasts, if I want to do them ‘correctly.’ When I go about my days, unsure whether or not it’s okay for me to be fasting, I default to not doing it! :/ So I look forward to hearing about how you’re handling it, since the wonderful Dr. Mindy has made it more complicated for us. 😅😉 I think my issue may have to do with the crippling “all or none” mindset that seems to affect so many areas of life. If I can’t do it 100% the right way, I lean towards not doing it. But it would be better to do it imperfectly than not at all.
I’m walking this path with you Jennifer. This is where I am headed and I see a bright and healthy future ( mind , body and soul) much love, Elle ❤ 13:4613:46
I started rebounding recently from watching one of your videos. I love it! I do it a few times per week and it’s my favorite form of exercise. I’ll do it for 15 minutes and then do some weight training. I feel great and much stronger. Thanks!!
I always enjoy your calm and informative and relatable videos. Have you considered touching on the “mommy wine culture” I fell into the trap for many years thinking I needed or deserved this form of relaxation or escape which only led to weight gain, irritablility and lack on motivation. I have since been reading more about the ill effects of alcohol and have cut it from my life by about 95%. If we have a fabulous steak dinner I enjoy a glass of red wine or I enjoy champagne with a lovely brunch. However it is no longer part of my daily lifestyle. I would enjoy hearing your take on this. This toxic drug is pushed on women and made to seem so appealing, fun and necessary but in reality it adds very little to one’s life and take away a lot in return. Thank you Jennifer.
Happy New Year! Today, January 4th I am on my one month of Intermittent Fasting. I have never felt so good. I am going to stick to the 16/8. I prefer this method. Thank you so much.
Dear Jennifer, the holidays were challenging for me as my family lives in states far from me. Mid-Dec, my place of employment was bought by a new owner. I continued to watch all your videos, hoping the New Year might offer me a spark! It DID ❤ Many of my goals align with yours (will be seeking those protein oats) increasing my steps (walking) offers a time for me to pray outloud! Weights=+ 😅 Your holiday poems were amazing and earlier this week I chose my word for 2024: Peace(ful)! Since “peace” can be interpreted as both a noun & verb, I also chose to use it as an acronym to improve areas in my life! Hence the (ful) at the end to help me reach out to others! This is such a long comment, Jennifer! Please feel free to edit! PS: Congrats 🎉 regarding Victoria magazine! 🌹TheEnd 😁
I have been all over the place with my health journey and experience highs and lows so this year I chose the word “Consistency” as my word of the year to help me stay focused on a more productive life in general. Happy New Year 🎆🎈🎊
I recently discovered Bryan Johnson and have been eating nutty pudding in place of holiday treats. I’m fascinated and intrigued by his longevity program. I’m going to start adding super veggie into my diet too. I follow a Mediterranean Diet overall so these foods fit right in to the Mediterranean Diet which includes eating more beans , pulses, and legumes. I like that these foods are high in protein, shelf stable, and low in cost. High quality olive oil is emphasized in the Mediterranean Diet. Thank you for focusing on health. It is always important! Happy New Year!🎊
Dear Jennifer.. I love all these ideas you have shared! I do try to follow many of these but I was comforted when you talked of stress. I tend to think I should be doing all these things each day especially at the beginning of a new year. I understand now to these are great to add to my journey of life any day I can 💕
11:07 Yes!! Love my rebounder too!! For weight training, I just got a Harambe System (resistance bands)-I really researched and felt this one was the best use of my money! Here’s to getting stronger in 2024!! 🎉
Cottage cheese and Greek yogurt are 2 easy foods to add for more protein. If you choose to start weight training I found it absolutely worth it to hire a personal trainer to help you with a routine and make sure you learn the proper form.
Thank you! I've also been incorporating some of Bryan Johnson's protocol and find his videos very motivating. Like you, I find varying my fasting more difficult than doing the same thing daily. This also applies to changing my physical routine in order to add weight training and more varied exercises (including some to improve balance as I just reached 80 -- yikes!). I prefer keeping the same routines but this year I shall adjust to more variety! I began using a scale with app that records information/measurements similar to yours, and the ability to see my progress over the past 5 years is truly inspiring. I will replay this vlog throughout January b/c you mention every single practice that I want to improve on and/or add to in 2024! Do you read minds, Jennifer? 😉😄
With all this self care, how do you fit in time to take care of your children? Do you still homeschool? Do you have outside help? It’s a struggle out here for us normal people.
Happy New Year Jennifer! I love watching your channel and I think our goals are aligned with IF, exercise, mind set and 'keep calm and remain classy'. I have been drinking protein and doing weight resistance training. I am losing fat and gaining muscle and feel great!!! Highly recommend adding them to your life plan!!
You’re recipes always look so beautiful and tasty. You made a great point about how stress affects the other areas of health and I think my focus for the new year will be to work on improving my stress levels. It is definitely self imposed.
Jennifer, thank you for this video. I was thinking of you recently when I was watching a video by Barbara O’Neil. I believe the name of it was this vessel has no age. Not sure about that but she is a big proponent of the rebounder and explain things that it did that I had no idea. You might be interested. Love in Christ.
I am so looking to forward to learning more about your struggles with intermittent fasting and FLAG. I am also someone who likes the uniform of doing the same thing every day. I was doing to well on my keto/fasting journey last year but found that I was derailed after reading FLAG and all of my progress was lost. I’m not implying it was the fault of FLAG but I do feel alone in struggling to make it work for me.
Happy New Year, Jennifer! Very lovely video and I'm happy you shared your plan with us! I think it's great that you're going to incorporate more resistance training. I've been lifting weights for many years and one piece of advice is to not be afraid to lift heavy. So many women are afraid they will "bulk up" and I'm here to tell you, it won't happen, at least not unintentionally. There are a lot of great resources out there and free videos! Good luck and I look forward to hearing more about your journey!
@@21972012145525 Great question! You can lose weight by weight training, in fact, more muscle in your body raises your BMR. Many people choose the cardio route though because it's quicker for fat loss. It's a good idea to do both if you can. Cardio = quicker fat loss, and weight training = muscle preservation. By doing cardio only, you will become leaner, but you could potentially lose muscle mass which is what we want to try to avoid. Hope this helps!
I love this so much. I'm definitely going to be writing your quote in my planner about doing all the healthy living things while being stressed out is counterproductive. One of my favorite videos of yours that I play often is your ASMR clean with me video. What are your thoughts about doing an ASMR "plan with me" video? (Maybe something like a Pomodoro type one set with beautiful music?) Just an idea that you can take or leave. (Hope this doesn't come across as rude or anything. I absolutely love your channel and your work!)
Dear Jennifer, thank you for sharing such a balanced approach to overall health and wellness. Extremes never work. I also do IF and have lost 20 lbs. I walk daily and journal regularly. You're such an inspiration, thank you for all you do
Great video Jennifer! I have similar goals for this year. I’ve made a list of protein snacks with 30g of protein to improve there. Wishing everyone a healthy 2024!
I don’t know if you have already talked about this in a previous video but I would love to hear more about the ‘mind’ aspect of this video. I am exploring de-stressing at the moment. Sometimes it feels easier to just carry on as I always have but I know it is not healthy so want to make a change. It’s helpful to hear what other people are doing. Thanks 😊
To combat stress, this year I am focusing on what is essential - eating, sleeping, exercising, working enough hours to pay essential bills, relaxation/play. I look to the animal world for inspiration to see what is essential. Everything else I have classed as non-essential "lifestyle projects" eg overseas holidays (stressful to organise and expensive), decorating, and working more hours to pay for it all. It has taken the pressure off. I know what I "need". I realised I don't actually have to do the "lifestyle projects". I am not going to die or go bankrupt if they don't happen. The challenge is, being content that meeting your essentials is enough, and that everything else is "keeping up with the Jones's" and being influenced by marketing that encourages you to be/do/have more than you need.
You inspired me over 2 years ago to start intermittent fasting. And in was in large part due to the simplicity of your eating schedule. I have since also read "Fast Like a Girl", and I miss that simple schedule. I also do not enjoy varying my fasts. I have yet to see if it's making any difference.
You are such an inspiration, Jennifer! Thank you for sharing all that you're doing to care for yourself! And thank you for the info about the scale and the discount code! I just purchased mine and can't wait to get started! ❤️
IF is the ONLY thing that helped me lose half my body weight. I don’t eat whatever I want. However, I have a treat meal once a month. I do love strength training and walking. I think it's important to have an active lifestyle whether you work out or not. I drink LMNT and vary my fast as well. Mindset shifts are everything!
Did you lose hair? I did "lazy" intermittent fasting and lost nearly all my hair. In an effort to grow it back I started eating more, my weight is coming back but not my hair. I lost about 40 pounds
Happy New Year 🎉Jennifer….. I need to work on building muscle and reducing anxiety…….. I love IF and the 16/8 works best for me as well…. Thanks for the information and inspiration and I look forward to hearing more in future videos.
PLEASE try to interview Gin Stephens with the books fast feast repeat and delay don’t deny !! So So Great and a little different than Mindy She has a podcast as well - Fadt Feast repeat podcast I actually mentioned her to you a year or so ago 😊 thank you
Hi Jennifer, I’m implementing red light therapy and it’s helping me a good bit. I just bought a vibration plate to extend the benefits of my limited workout time. Next, I’m saving for a collapsible sauna and a face red light therapy to hopefully eliminate sun spots (praying it helps.) Happy New Year, Julie 🌷
I love all of your videos ❤❤. I recommend you read the Vanity Fair piece about Bryan Johnson before ascribing to his philosophy (Dec issue author Rachel Dodes). I love all the healthy living ideas on this vlog and our family has read all the books and put many of the ideas into practice! But now sadly I’m questioning it a bit if you are so willing to engage and promote someone like Bryan Johnson. I think it’s important to make sure these people are healthy in mind (not just body) before having him elevated on your healthy living plan for 2024. I watch all of your videos with my 16 year old daughter and I cannot in good faith have her watch this one because she will ask “who is Bryan Johnson?”. This doesn’t take away from the fact that I think you are a beautiful person inside and out and I thank you for all that you have done thus far! ❤ Happy Healthy New Year!
@@michelegreenberg6255 There are always two sides to a story. I think both he and his ex-fiancé are probably at fault, but he really seems to be doing a good thing for humanity in wanting to share his health outcomes. Regardless of his path, it seems he’s trying to do good, and that’s worth a lot in my book. All we can do is our best moving forward. ❤️
I have been using a lamp for over a year and I love it! I got my from Infaredi after a lot of research! I use it for so many different reasons and bc it was so costly I make myself use it! @@TheDailyConnoisseur
I agree about Bryan Johnson. I have always loved Jennifer’s balanced, practical approach to diet and exercise, and I hope she doesn’t drift further away from that into diet extremism.
Lovely...thank you. Happy New Year! I was so glad to hear about Kodiak Oatmeal adding proteing to their product. Every time I have oatmeal, which I love, I dive from a glycemic overload...AND not proteing...so it's good to hear of a company who actually ADDS protein to such a loved product. Cottage cheese, eggs and green smoothies with Orgain protein powder are my protein go-to's. -Leslie
Great video! I just wanted to add that if you’re interested in longevity science, Dr. Peter Attia is THE guy. He has a podcast called The Drive, and his book Outlive was a huge deal last year. His information is enlightening!
Love Peter attia and Andrew huberman. There's a female Dr as well that often collaborates with them (Rhonda?) But I haven't had the time to watch her content yet. Too much UA-cam 😅
An FYI, as of late I discovered FairLife milk. It is a filtered milk, and I love that it has less carbs (1 less than almond milk,) 50% less sugar, and 50% more protein.
I like your Channel cos your videos are Timeless..you can go look way back on your Channel, and find a video on every subject possible to better your Life👌
I just started intermittent fasting on Monday. Can you please share what a non fasting day looks like for you? What time do you breakfast? Do the other mealtimes stay the same? Do you still have coffee first?
Beautiful video, Jennifer. I'm implementing some resistance bands to start my strength training as this is my area of weakness. I agree, protein is really important!! ❤ ❤❤❤
Hi Jennifer. I have been intermittent fasting for 2 or 3 years also. I understand that you are sponsored by LMNT. I take potassium and magnesium every day. I also put only real salt in my first 2 cups of coffee before I break my fast. Would that not be sufficient to replenish my electrolytes? Also, exercise has been such a challenge in the past year or more. I had surgery on a torn meniscus and now have no meniscus left on one knee. I have always gone out and walked for year. I'm very limited as to what I can do, as my ortho told me not to jump, squat and I can't walk distance. Until I get brave enough to have surgery, I feel stuck when it comes to exercising. Even after surgery there are still limitations. If any of your viewers see this and have had better quality of life with surgery, I'd sure appreciate their input. As of now I'm getting by with the HA acid gels every 6 months, but it only helps about 50 percent. A very nice video. Have a blessed day.
Jennifer, thank you so much for such a beautiful video! ❤ I am thinking of my goals and you have provided awesome inspiration! Could I please ask you what time you take your tea? I’ve been wanting to get in this habit for a while-it sounds so elevated and luxurious and the perfect happy point to the day, but I don’t know how to start! Any tips would be so appreciated. Thank you so much, and sending best wishes for the happiest 2024!! ❤
Hi Jennifer🤗I believe, like you, that life is supposed to be Effortless 😁and so my fasting is effortless to. It’s going to vary a bit as I’m living my life, and that turns out to be just perfect 👍🏻 all the best, Tone
I love that! My thought is that if varying your fast is stressful, don't vary! Go with the ebbs and flow of life...some weeks you might be out with friends and eat later. Life should be a flow.
How do you balance all your doing with giving time to your children, husband as well as cleaning and cooking and maintaining your home? Love your videos by the way. I find them helpful in my own endeavors ❤
Hi Jennifer, I love watching your channel and signed up for Chic Society membership about 2 years ago. Recently, I noticed that I no longer am able to access your Friday videos intended for Chic Society members. Yet, I am still being billed monthly. Can you tell me how to fix this?
Hello! I do not see the members icon next to your username. Could it be that you signed up under a different UA-cam account? If you're still being billed, that's the likeliest option. You can always cancel your membership and sign up again under this account that you use more.
As someone who has been doing a modified fast for 10-13 years, I have heard a lot of medical opinions and think there is a lot of room for what a person feels works best for them. I don't vary my eating window except on the very rare occasion my body wants food, or if something just looks good. I slowly built up to start eating around 12-1:30 and finish with a light snack around 8:30. Hormonally, it's been great, especially since I started eating red meat again. Dr. Wendy Sellens has an amazing book on this.
I'm curious if doctor Mindy's book discusses how to fast if you are on birth control which interferes with a usual hormonal cycle, for example, birth control which stops you from having a period?
I gained some of the weight back.that i had lost via if. Im not happy about it because its on my tummy 😭 i think for me being more strict with my eating and avoiding "intuitive eating" is key because thebnore i care less about the food/diet/nutrition the more i loose. As soon as i begin to track things or make a conscious effort, i feel i get a bit obsessed with food. Initially i had tried to gain a few pounds just to gain weight and grow my hair back. I actually dont know how much heavier i have gotten though
Check out Dr Stacey Sims. She’s great for educating yourself about specifically women’s exercise physiology. And how that interacts with peri menopause and menopause.
As a migraine sufferer, I cannot fast. Maintaining a steady blood sugar level is necessary to stave off migraines. Fasting is not recommended for migraine sufferers.
No medical evidence you have to fast to lose weight. It’s not better nor worse than regular scheduled eating as long as you are on a calorie deficit. Which is what fasting is about. Nor the need to “alternate” your fast according to your menstrual cycle. No medical nor science evidence to this. If fasting doesn’t work for you that is fine.
Rooting for you Jennifer! We are the same age and I recently realized I need to also do more strength training/weight training. I joined the gym (which I was always so against) but I'm actually having a blast. My posture is better, my lower back stiffness has gone away, my clothes are fitting better, etc etc. I also got a rebounder and I think it brings out my inner child, I love that thing - doesn't feel like exercise!

Jennifer, I truly admire how disciplined you are. That’s something I’m definitely working on this year. When you know things that will help your health but lack the discipline to create the habit. Thanks for the motivation!
Discipline is key. I don't have trouble with discipline but flexibility, haha. So that's what I'm working on this year!
Same .
Resistance/weight training to build lean muscle mass is so vital to women's health. I loved hearing you talk about it! Your goals are very well rounded. Hope you have a great year!!

I’m so glad you are on your way to healing ♥️
The problem is that healthcare is so expensive
As a way to bump up the protein in regular oatmeal, try adding in a 1/2 cup of egg whites into your almost cooked stovetop oatmeal (boil water, add oats, cook until almost all of the water is incorporated) and stir constantly until they are fluffy and all incorporated. It's delicious and bulks up the oats to be more satiating and less of a blood sugar crash after. Doesn't taste eggy either!
I'll try it. Thank you!
Wow, that is amazing news! I’m so happy to hear this! And congratulations! ♥️
@@TheDailyConnoisseur lol! 😂 Yes, I also like to watch a lot of people (like Bryan Johnson) and learn and pick up ideas from them!
If it doesn’t fit you then just ignore.
Wonderful! Thank you so much!
Jennifer, your food always looks delicious, especially your fabulous desserts! I think you should write a cookbook!
This is where I am headed and I see a bright and healthy future ( mind , body and soul) much love, Elle ❤ 13:46 13:46
Abstinence all the way ❤
Kick the drink by Jason Vale is a terrific read - I stopped drinking over 5 years ago and it was like the scales felll off my eyes!
Happy New Year!🎊
Eckhart Tolle is a lovely inspiration for clearing the mind
Dear Jennifer.. I love all these ideas you have shared! I do try to follow many of these but I was comforted when you talked of stress. I tend to think I should be doing all these things each day especially at the beginning of a new year. I understand now to these are great to add to my journey of life any day I can 💕
11:07 Yes!! Love my rebounder too!! For weight training, I just got a Harambe System (resistance bands)-I really researched and felt this one was the best use of my money! Here’s to getting stronger in 2024!! 🎉
Thank you for that recommendation! I'll look into them!
@@TheDailyConnoisseur
You are so welcome!! 😊🙏🏻
My protein boosters- cottage cheese for a snack or side. Greek yogurt as dessert or nighttime snack. I get plain and add Torani sugar free syrup
Love this so much! Such a calm “health” video for January. Nothing extreme. Just small incremental changes to reach goals. 🌼
One of my new years resolutions as an animal based/ancestral eater is to eat more beef 🙌🏻
I'll have to look that up. Thank you!
I watch all your videos and love your content, but this one is probably one of my favorites.
Lovely video, Jennifer! I too am doing my best to lower my self-imposed stress.
Thank you, Luba!
"Self-imposed stress" - such a good way to put it.
Hi Jennifer My New years resolution is to be nice to myself and my word for this year is truthful. Thanks for another great video!
Thank you for that tip!
My question about weight training is what happens if you don't loose the fat first via cardio?
That's a great idea!
Can you share in your fasting videos if varying your fasts caused an increase in weight?
You are such an inspiration, Jennifer! Thank you for sharing all that you're doing to care for yourself! And thank you for the info about the scale and the discount code! I just purchased mine and can't wait to get started! ❤️
Thank you! I love the scale. I get lost in the metrics, haha. ♥
I’m grateful to have your advice and guidance in my life Jennifer. Thank you for being courageous and generously sharing your journey with us.
Thanks for the information and inspiration and I look forward to hearing more in future videos.
what a concise video, so appreciated. You seriously could write a recipe book.
PLEASE try to interview Gin Stephens with the books fast feast repeat and delay don’t deny !! So So Great and a little different than Mindy
She has a podcast as well - Fadt Feast repeat podcast I actually mentioned her to you a year or so ago 😊 thank you
Thank you for your beautiful message.
Thank you for sharing your light!
Hi Jennifer, I’m implementing red light therapy and it’s helping me a good bit. I just bought a vibration plate to extend the benefits of my limited workout time. Next, I’m saving for a collapsible sauna and a face red light therapy to hopefully eliminate sun spots (praying it helps.)
Happy New Year, Julie 🌷
This all sounds amazing, Julie! I want to try red light therapy. That's something else Bryan Johnson does.

There are always two sides to a story.
-Leslie
I am like you Jennifer, in that my thoughts drive me. I am working on mindfulness meditation this year to learn to regulate my stress.
Too much UA-cam 😅
thanks again I agree with your method of eating I do the same. At times I do fluckuate but get back on track.
I’m trying IF again this year, three days in! It’s tough but I want to stick with it.
Thank you for the video Jennifer!
Thank you for your video! You inspired me to do journaling for mental health!
An FYI, as of late I discovered FairLife milk. It is a filtered milk, and I love that it has less carbs (1 less than almond milk,) 50% less sugar, and 50% more protein.

Happy New Year Jennifer and family.
Happy new year!
Loved this video. I will be following you closely. I need the motivation and inspiration Thanks
Jennifer, thank you so much for such a beautiful video! ❤ I am thinking of my goals and you have provided awesome inspiration! Could I please ask you what time you take your tea? Thank you so much, and sending best wishes for the happiest 2024!! ❤

Hi Jennifer🤗I believe, like you, that life is supposed to be Effortless 😁and so my fasting is effortless to. It’s going to vary a bit as I’m living my life, and that turns out to be just perfect 👍🏻 all the best, Tone
I love that! My thought is that if varying your fast is stressful, don't vary! Go with the ebbs and flow of life...some weeks you might be out with friends and eat later. Life should be a flow.
What do you do on the rebounder? Do you follow at workout regimen?
Jennifer, when during the day do you usually drink your electrolyte mix?
How do you balance all your doing with giving time to your children, husband as well as cleaning and cooking and maintaining your home?
Love your videos by the way. I find them helpful in my own endeavors ❤
I have a lot of help! ♥
A lot to process in this video.😊
Thank you
I ordered the LMNT. Hopefully I get the chocolate pack because it doesnt appear anywhere in the cart.😬😊
As a migraine sufferer, I cannot fast. Maintaining a steady blood sugar level is necessary to stave off migraines. Fasting is not recommended for migraine sufferers.
I agree 100%.
I bet it would be fun to do a class at the gym again. I might get back into it!
