Your principle „look presentable always“ has saved me today when my neighbor did a surprise visit for the first time ever! I was able to invite her in and sit with her and talk instead of rushingly trying to get rid of her at the door out of embarrassment (and I want to be friends with her!)
Jennifer, Thank you so much for including me and my book Nervous Energy in your video! It really is an honor. I'm so glad that you are getting your rest. Partly because I'm glad for you, and partly for the selfish reason that I know healthy rest will facilitate you being refreshed and ready to share more of your wonderful insights about living in elegance 😊🥂 Thank you for all you do!
I love this so much and I try to do the same. I have for a long time gone by the “8 Laws of Health” nutrition, water, fresh air, sunlight, exercise, rest, avoiding harmful things, and trust in God. Health doesn’t have to be too complicated. I do eat a plant based diet, but I think the main thing is just eating real food and avoiding processed foods.
Hi Jennifer. Yes, rest is a priority. I used to drive myself, too. The results: migraines, a grouchy mom, brain fog, too tired to exercise or eat well. No longer! Our bodies were never built to live at a frenetic pace. I'm reading "The Ruthless Elimination of Hurry". Oh my gosh! What a valuable book! I highly recommend. Slowing down has been a tremendous blessing, not only to me, but to everyone around me.
It is so interesting how different people thrive on what seems to be different ways of eating. IE: vegan/carnivore. When talking to my husband about it he said: “What do they have in common?” And it dawned on me that it was how each WOE utilizes real, Whole Foods with little processed food. I really believe that is the key to good health. Great video, Jennifer, thank you! 🌷
You are a breath of fresh air in a stress world. I have been following you for a couple of years. You are a breath of peace. I suggest the book Breath as Prayer by Jennifer Tucker. This book is a stress reducer. Your meals always look yummy. Your clothes are beautiful, modest (thank you) and a salute to womanhood. Thank you very much for your posts !
The key to enjoying dessert is to actually enjoy it, which means mindfulness. If i wolf something down, or snack mindlessly in front of the tv (when if it's healthy snacks), it's like i never had the dessert and so i still crave more. But taking the time to enjoy each bite, i don't miss the joy of the dessert.
Dear Jennifer I really appreciate your balanced approach not only to wellness but, in all areas of life you share on your channel. You've been such a wonderful source of inspiration and motivation for me. Thank you
I've been fasting since the start of the year and have lost 13 pounds so far. I'm really happy about it, I'm not following any particular diet or calorie counting. My husband and I also decided to eat a vegetarian diet, eating vegetarian helps us have a greater variety of foods which I think is ultimately beneficial for good health. I also work out every day, this is a goal I have set every year for three consecutive years and I trust this will be the year I do it. My life is pretty sedentary, I aim for 45 minutes daily but sometimes I do a 5-10 minute arm workout because that's all I feel like doing. Rest is something I need to work on, I feel I'm sometimes just busy being busy not busy being productive and I need to learn to rather rest during those times. Thank you for another beautiful video.
I hope you enjoyed today's video! I would love to know about your wellness routine in the comments. I look forward to hearing from you. Thanks for watching. Love, Jennifer
Red meat is not bad for you. There is a blue zone in Asia that only eat meat but they focus on plant based . Your body craves protein because it needs it . I think the advice we are give to limit protein is causing osteoporosis. We need fat in the diet too. Fasting is great .
Hi Jennifer, today is my 4th month on Intermittent Fasting. I love this new lifestyle in my life. So I do the 16/8 and did loose about 7 pounds and I am truly happy with the new me. You really inspire me, and I look forward to your Channel and reading Victoria Magazine. I have all the copies of Victoria Magazine since day one.
I like how you listen to your body. I realized awhile back that my best energy is on the morning. So, I started including tidying up the house and doing the dishes in my morning routine. My husband jokes that once dinner is served at night I'm closed. During the day I've started practicing taking breaks, it's still something I have to consciously make myself do but I like how it refreshes and refocused me. Thank you for your ideas!
As a 42 year old woman, I have also been feeling the need for more protein, but red meat does not make me feel my best. I also have chronic Lyme disease, which means I really need to watch inflammatory triggers. So I have been trying to get more plant based protein and fish in my diet, and it really makes a difference. Cottage cheese, chickpeas, and lentils are some of my favorite ways to get more plant based protein. I have also been intermittent fasting for about 6 years now, and I love it! Recently, I have been trying to vary my fasting using Dr. Mindy Pelz’s books: “Fast Like a Girl” and “The Menopause Reset” to get ready for perimenopause and help it be as smooth for myself as possible.
I am the same way about eating protein. I have started to make bone broth and also if I’m in a pinch I will sip Kette & Fire bone broth or even use it for cooking rice/pasta/or any recipe calling for broth. 1 serving has 19g protein.
Jennifer… you make me feel calm and inspired. I do embrace every pillar; however, I fall and your video’s are a nice reminder to get my behind back on my self-care path!!! ❤
I can so relate to needing and even craving more protein but not enjoying eating it. It’s so weird! But I just really try to make sure protein is a major part of all my meals. Also, interestingly, there is some discussion about the blue zones diets and some people believe they eat more meat than we think they do, and that a huge part of their longevity has to do with getting adequate sunshine, exercise, social connections, and rest as is more common in those areas. I’ve really started to try to change my lifestyle to incorporate more sun , sleep and leisure time. ❤❤❤
Thank you so much, Jennifer. Your videos are always an oasis of grace in my day. Thank you for being a guiding light on my Intermittent Fasting journey. I started during your first year and it has not only helped me to become healthier, but also it has changed my relationship with food in such a positive way. I have done strength training for many years and I am so glad that you are using this pillar to keep you strong and balanced. I also have recently become more aware of my sleep and how it impacts my day and so am striving to improve my sleep quality and duration. You always seem to hit on the things that are so important to our lives. Thank you for your wisdom, humor and encouragement.❣
For the last several years I have been working on healing my disordered eating habits in order to not pass it onto my children unknowingly. Now I am pregnant with my first baby, still more overweight than I would like to be, but I am MUCH more stable in my eating habits than I would have been even a year ago. After baby arrives I think I'll be finally ready to give my fitness some real focus without having to furiously fight my mental state around food. 😊
🍨 I love that you have dessert everyday!! I eat *homemade ice cream* most every day. I love it with some berries and raw, unfiltered honey. 😊 _Edit: Eating this at night can also help if having _*_menopausal sleep issues_*_ (see comments)!!_ ✨🌛
I just learned a little tip about eating ice cream! I'm going thru menopause and I wake up between 2:30-3:30 every morning and when I finally fall back asleep it's the good sleep where I don't want to get up. If I eat some ice cream after dinner- before bed, I no longer wake up. Learning that was such a blessing. Now I wake up in the morning feeling rested w/out my alarm!!!!
@@MindfulMusings1 😭 Oh gosh, I’m SO happy for you!! That is a HUGE blessing!! I’m guessing you’re eating ice cream with sugar? I’ve heard that both carbohydrates before bedtime “and” saturated fats can help with sleep, so it makes sense! Thank you so much for sharing this!! ❤️❤️
@@PeaceIsJesusChrist Yes, good ol fashioned ice cream. It was recommended to eat a cup but I have 1/2 a cup. Menopause has not been nice to me and I've gone thru most of the symptoms. Things are getting to the other side but the sleep one has remained.
@@MindfulMusings1 Oh, bless your heart. I’m so sorry it’s been a struggle for you. I’m very happy to hear you’re getting better and especially with sleep-that’s so crucial!! Blessings to you, and thank you again!!🥰❤️
Thank you for another great program, Jennifer. Would you please address the latest scientific findings that intermittent fasting is good for the short term, but increases the probability of a heart attack by nearly 100% for long-term practitioners of this diet method?
It is not a peer reviewed paper. Not even an abstract. It is from a poster. Reaearch for yourself using pubmed at a starting point. Anything to the extreme can be bad for you. Statistics can be used to manipulate. "All serial killers drank water in our study. Conclusion, drinking water will make you a serial killer."
Great video! I love the information from the Blue Zones book as well. Due to health concerns I switched to a plant based diet in 2014. Combined with weight bearing exercise I have been able to reverse severe osteoporosis. It is amazing what a difference your lifestyle can make in how you feel. ❤️
@@lynnsalberg5647 It's so confusing with so many differing voices everywhere. It was very hard for me to experiment with giving up dairy because I believed you needed it for bone health. I had been eating a lot of raw dairy, free range eggs, and grass fed beef because I knew my bones were weak (I have a genetic mutation that makes me predisposed to osteoporosis). But once I moved forward with a plant based diet things started noticeably changing. I had been bedridden from spinal fractures, but my pain started going away and I didn't need a walker after a couple weeks. I gradually started weight bearing exercise and can now do just about anything. I do believe weight bearing exercise plays a major part in bone health.
This is amazing, well done. I feel very confused at times myself and I also have bone issues with low bone density. Osteoporosis runs in my family so I am actively trying to make good choices with diet and exercise. How did you know to make the switch to plant based? I have tried switching to goats or sheep’s milk because it’s higher in calcium and I don’t always tolerate lots of dairy.
@@Sacredsimplicitylife It runs in my family too! I have a genetic mutation that is linked to low bone density (as do three of my children). At age 34 I had DEXA scores of -5 and -6 in my spine, with at least 8 fragility fractures. I was bedridden for about 5 months (and using a walker for another 6 ) when my last baby was 6 months old. My mom came to help us out during the week for about 5 months. She was an absolute angel. I came across Dr. John McDougall because of an article he wrote about osteoporosis. I was very skeptical at first. I brought it up with my mother-in-law, and she said, "Oh, you don't want to do that." So I disregarded it. Many months later I came across it again (I had a lot of time to do research!) and felt like I should try it. I had also read The China Study, which helped me make sense of a lot of things. I had been drinking raw milk, also making kefir with it. Then we switched to raw goat milk, and we were still making kefir with that. I was very nervous to stop using that, as well as free range eggs and grass fed butter and beef. I reached out with some questions to a woman who had gone plant based and had success with her bone health. After talking with her I decided to just try an experiment and see what would happen. After a few days my bone pain started disappearing. After a week or two I could start walking without my walker. Things just improved from there, little by little, every day. I started doing simple weight bearing exercises, like lunges using my walker. After a few months I could use small weights. I believe you need weight bearing exercise as well. I get DEXA scans every year. My hips are now in the healthy range, my spine is just barely in the osteopenia range, and my wrists are still just in the osteoporosis range, but they are all improving each year. I have been doing pushups regularly this year to help with my wrists. I also decided to not take any drugs (or calcium supplements); there are just too many bad side effects (which I have seen in family members). I do take vitamin D3 with K2. There is so much more information out there now than when I was looking in the beginning. There is a documentary called Forks Over Knives with a little information about osteoporosis in it. There are a lot of UA-cam videos put out by plant based doctors as well. Here is one of the articles I found ten years ago if you are interested in it. I would be happy to answer any questions you might have. www.drmcdougall.com/education/star-mcdougall-stories/ruth-heidrich/
You got me started with intermittent fasting. I recently read a book called Eat Fast Feast, which adds a spiritual component to fasting. That got me interested in Orthodox Christianity, which I am now learning about. It's amazing how one thing can lead to another! I love your channel. You have been a big influence for me. I even like black coffee now!😊
Two books that changed my life Blue Zones and The China Study! I really appreciate this video Jennifer, I need to start exercising, I do things around the house all day so I'm moving but need to focus on making exercising a priority. Have a great weekend everyone!
What is the china study about? Studies show if you tell yourself you are exercising when doing housework, you actually lose more weight than If you didn't say anything while doing the same activities! The brain is a funny thing 😅
@@21972012145525 It talks about the positive impact of eating healthy food and the negative impact of unhealthy foods through the largest health study ever done. It is pretty scientific but very interesting and informative.
I love this so much, Jennifer. I think it's funny how the videos you post generally coincide with what I'm currently going through. My health and wellness (and my family's) has been my main focus the past few weeks. I am so blessed to have my husband and a group of dear ladies at my church who I can check in with daily to make sure that I'm getting my workouts in. Lately, I've been trying to get 10k-15k steps in; and whenever I am walking on my treadmill, I take that time to binge watch your older videos and other youtubers like Minimal Mom. Thank you also for reminding me that I need to rest. I tend to be a robot with productivity until I burn out; and even when I'm tired, I can't stop to rest because I feel inadequate because I feel like I don't have the right to feel tired. (Do you ever feel like that?) Thank you for the content you post. You are always an inspiration to me!
@@juliecarns Awesome job! It definitely can make working out easier when you feel like you're treating yourself. I got this idea from one of Jennifer's older videos when she talks about finding ways to make the mundane more pleasurable. 🥰
I fast on Wednesdays primarily for spiritual reasons. I have a breakthrough in my energy and cognitive skills, mood etc. I’m 70 and I highly recommend it -of course, check in with your medical provider.
This video has been an inspiration. I’m prone to pushing myself to be “productive” because I’ll feel better later. In my experience, later I feel fatigued. I identify with the revelations you’re presenting here. Thank you, Jennifer.
Hi Jennifer! I'm so happy you are working with an online trainer! My beloved pilates instructor of 10 years went online in the pandemic and I still do light weights and resistance training online with her thrice weekly from the convenience of my home. That way, even if I need to be home for my child, I can get my workout done. 😁 🧡
I just signed up for Co-Pilot, thanks for the recommendation. I have a 2 year old, 1 year old and am 26 weeks pregnant with baby #3. I enjoy going to a women’s workout group 1-2 times a week but could definitely use some help staying on track until and once the new baby joins the family. 😊❤
That sounds amazing Jennifer. I would love to rest more but I just feel like it isnt in my future. I honestly have no idea how to do it. I have two toddlers and they keep me on my toes. I works full time in an extremely demanding job and by the time I put my kids to bed at 8 pm I am toally wiped. I am basically so exhausted from 8-9 pm (9 pm is when I go to bed) that I am in almost a zombie state during that time, even if I do read novels (which I love to do). Then I wake up at 530 am and exercise before work. Superficially I seem to have it “together” like with dressing well, clean house, and Im thin and eat well etc. But inside I feel tired to the bone. I love your books and they have been lifechanging but I feel like I wont be able to rest until my kids are teenagers. Curious to know how old your kids are now and if you think young mothers can ever get rest.
This is where I was when I was in my 30s. I relate sooo much. It gets easier as they get older and you must get help and prioritize rest. That's my experience...
Read why we sleep by Dr Matthew Walker. This is my biggest fear is being so exhausted when having kids as I'm getting older. You can always take time off of work but not from kids. Also if you feel like your getting enough sleep in terms of hours, but still feel tired there maybe something else going on. Healthy gamer has a great video that I would watch before reading Dr Matthew walkers book to "self diagnose" If you need to seek medical attention for sleep issues
I just saw an interview of a French lady who went to the blue zones and she said she was shocked at their meals were actually not plant based at all and that she saw it was always meat based and she was very shocked! xx
I would agree with her. I have recently just finished reading the Blue Zone book and what I picked up is that they do eat fish, lamb and goats cheese & milk. I recently watched and read some comments on the Netflix documentary that was explaining how what was portrayed in the documentary isn’t exactly true. There is a huge push for plant based eating. A lot of what probably makes these people in the Blue Zones healthy, is also lifestyle of community, exercise, lack of stress and enjoying hobbies.
Your girls are so pretty! Setting certain boundaries for ourselves as women is so important. We tend to put our needs aside for everyone else. I did not understand that very well when I was a younger mother. I hope young women watching this will see this example you have established for yourself. Our health - both health and mental - is important to not only our wellbeing but the whole family. Take care and thank you for your encouragement.
I also work from home full time. I find it excruciatingly difficult to get up and exercise. I do it (most days) only because I know how good I’ll feel afterwards. This video inspires me so much to keep it going because with no one around I must motivate myself. Also…anxiously awaiting your next book! ❤ 14:36
Jennifer, I am thankful that you keep us aware of using a rebounder and how much you like it. Because of you, I bought one and love it! It is strangely energizing when I step off of it. Even when I have been tired, after just five minutes on it, I feel perked up. Because of your continued endorsement, it stayed on my radar, and I am so glad. Thank you! This is one of many ways you have made my life better.
My thoughts are a bit different Jennifer. I would add a fifth pillar but make it the first if not the most important, that of mental health. If that is out of kilter, I “speak” from experience, honestly, you can’t even start with the self care. More like I don’t care. I know I shouldn’t think like that but emotions get in the way of being sensible. To begin exercising etc I think you have to be in the right mindset or at least be working on that in the hope that a better diet and exercise will make you feel better.
Jennifer, great video. I couldn’t help but notice that you are mostly squatting by bending your knees and going straight up and down. Your knees should not go past your ankles in squats. Your hips should go behind your body so you are not putting all your weight into your knee joints. It’s called a hip hinge. I just don’t want you to injure yourself.❤ I have been strength training for 20 years and teaching yoga for 15 so I’m very focused on alignment and safety. Stay well! I also love the rebounder. It’s the most fun I’ve ever had exercising!!!
I try to listen to my body as I am older now and went through years of raising our children and doing for others to a point of self depletion. It took a toll on my well being but little by little I am trying to look at my life and find ways to improve it. This was a wonderful video but then so are all of your videos. I find the well being, home care, and seeking out the arts so inspiring. I love your book videos also. I am so grateful for you and this community. 💖
I would love to see some discussion around romantic relationships as an elegant lady. The casual culture that we discuss on your channel has a huge impact in our marriages (e.g. going to the bathroom with the door open as just 1 example). I would love to see some Daily Connoisseur content on this!
Hmmm. We will have to look into this CoPilot Fitness. This could be a really good option for us traveling full time on the road. We have struggled with fitting in exercise and how to do that when we are changing locations all the time! An online accountability partner might be the answer. I have really skinny arms too. LOL. Back several years ago though, when I was lifting weights, they looked pretty amazing. Thank you for this information, it might be an answer to prayer for me. 🙏- Michelle
Hi Jennifer! You look sooo pretty in white!! This video is so helpful! I have been an exerciser for many years, faster for three and a healthy eater for many years. I CANNOT rest. I have tried very hard!! Guilt rushes in, panic, blah, blah, blah. You have inspired me to keep trying! :) See you tomorrow! With love, Kellie
I appreciate the way you embrace dessert and tea, as they really do bring joy! And joy is so important. Also, it is so great that you acknowledge that dietary preferences are varied, and encourage your viewers to do what is best for them personally. I have been slowly trying to increase my intermittent fasting window, but it is so hard since my family tends to need to eat on the later side. But I really do feel better shifting everything a bit earlier, including stopping work (hard) and going to bed (also tough!). Thank you for the inspiration!
You're not wrong about sugar. Have in moderation. Growing up, my mom was always on a diet. Sweets weren't always available when she was on a diet. Since being an adult raising my daughter, there's always candy around. Her and her friends would grab a piece of candy. On their way out the door to have an adventure. I will give my body the option of taking a rest when I feel the need.
Jennifer, id love to suggest a book to you called "why we sleep" by dr matthew walker. Its incredibly insightful on the need for rest, specifically sleep. I would recommend his youtube interviews but i think you would prefer reading the book! He definitely covers WHY our thougts and decision making are better on a good nights sleep versus the detrimental effects of when its not. Happy reading!
I laughed when you said skinny arms because I totally relate and it’s a real thing!! I enjoyed this video and it’s timely for me as your videos so often have been. I’m booked in with a trainer next week and have put down as my objective, to incorporate everyday fitness into mum life. I was attending Pilates classes but found the in person attendance weekly and needing to commit to certain times and the continued cost to be prohibitive. I’m definitely keen to look after my health from home as much as I can and I am thinking buying weights, simple equipment for home use is soo much better than a gym subscription. Rest is something I’m working on. It was good to hear about the benefits of it. P.s. love daily protein and desert in this household!
I’m doing 1. 5 days a week 15 min workout, two core days and three arm days, and I work standing and walking. 2. & 3. I do a semi-annual fast mimicking diet and 5-2 fasting when I’m not, also adjusting according to my period. :-) the above is done in coordination with my dietitian, so I’m getting a variety of fresh produce! 4. This is tricky. As a mom of a 5yo boy and a 2yo boy, weekends are all dedicated to their activities, and I’m in transition back to full-time working form part-time. It seems I may have very little time for stopping to rest physically, this will be a project to work out as a family!
Thank you for this vlog, I try to walk everyday and would really like to purchase a re-bounder at some point. Yoga is another favourite of mine. This vlog has motivated me to ensure I ensure good nutrition as well.
🍅🥫 For protein, I find having a really good sauce makes it so delicious. I love cream cheese melted with canned tomatoes as a sauce for eggs or ground beef. Or cream cheese melted with caramelized onions. 😋 ….or, just canned tomatoes, or caramelized onions alone makes things taste so good. ❤
Intermittent fasting really worked for me to manage my weight. But then I went through medical issues and surgeries causing me to gain weight. After the treatments and surgeries I had to go through my hormones are different than most women my age at age 40. Now, intermittent fasting isn’t working for me. But I really think I need to sleep more! Thanks for the reminder! ❤ excellent video
Hi Jennifer, I really liked this video. All those pillars are essential even for me. I'm 44 in May this year and I lost weight 19Kg in 2010. I've since put on about 5 kg and I've been trying to lose it. Nutrition is what am great at managing. I am a growing health and Nutrition coach and stay at home mum. Exercise too I do like. Strength training has taken a bit of a bench for the past lent period until after Easter, but I love running as a hobby so am currently training to run my first ½ Marathon on my birthday 18th May. This is my own challenge not an official race. Rest... I really need to work more on that. Fasting I have tried all sorts including those in Fast like a girl. I think weightloss wise has not really worked well for me for the past 12 months plus. But over this lent period leading to Easter, has been different. I have not weighed myself for the past 5 weeks as I do not want the fasting to get in my head so much as it is not for physiological purposes. You inspire me and I look forward to starting my own Utube channel. It has been daunting for a while but I am going to start. God bless I'm based in Senegal West Africa by the way, but I'm from Malawi, Southern Africa.
Thanks a ton Jennifer...sometimes you need someone to tell you that its ok to rest and that its productive...thats wonderful...listening to your body is another great tip...loved the video❤
You are so smart to solidify these habits before menopause and perimenopause. I wish I would have been more educated about the process. I would have added intermittent fasting and actually exercised LESS with more weight training and yoga. These tips help the transition. You go girl😊
Hello Jennifer, Thank you for this timely video; weight catches up with me in January-March because of cold weather pain but I’ve been consistently working out this week and plan to add weights in a few weeks. Your workout form is very good; I prefer a mirror to watch my form. Fish is now my favorite protein. Julie 💐
I do: intermittent fasting, strength training, eat real food (w/protein as King), I don't eat sugar, except from natural sources, mainly berries (I don't feel deprived, in fact it's very freeing), and protect my sleep. Btw women can lift heavy, but seem to worry about "bulking up" I lift heavy and I'm not bulky (I'm very petite in fact).
Great job, Jennifer! You’ve got some serious momentum going in so many areas. I often find that just starting something is the most difficult part. Off to do my upper body workout now! 🥰
I’m just a couple years older than you, and also have have been on a similar journey! You have inspired me so much I do so many of the things that you suggest! I’ve been trying to get more protein in my diet, too, and I struggle! The amount of protein expert say I should be eating just seems like so hard to get into my daily diet! It’s almost a chore, and I’m not enjoying it! I often Think “how would Jennifer approach this in a chic way?”You always have a great videos…maybe you could do one about how to get more protein in our diets in an elegant chic way!
Hello ☺️ I saw in your other video where you stopped fasting the week before your period because of what Dr. Cindi said. But before you heard her say that, had you noticed any problems with your hormones and fasting?
Thank you Jennifer! I found this to be so encouraging and I am going to implement this in my life! I, also, do intermittent fasting and am trying to eat nutritious meals. I have a rebounder and you have encouraged me to use it more often, as you said:”It makes me feel younger!”. From New Zealand🌸
Jennifer, I also could do without meat. Most of the time I can happily skip it, but since I must have protein I do eat it in moderation. Just a few bites of steak or chicken. I can eat more fish, since it's lighter. Eggs and cheese are good.
Hi, Jennifer this was a very informative video and inspires me to live well. Please , please do a make up tutorial video for the lovely look you have here. I am interested to see the no make up done on you as mentioned in your books.
😊love this. I prefer to work out at home as well. I am almost 60 and using the weights have been a game changer. Go Jennifer! You’re classy even working out! Thank you!
Jennifer, but remember that the quailty of the foods & baked goods in France are top notch, & all natural vs here in the US? There are foods here and ingredients that are Banned in Europe!🤔
Hi Jennifer, what a great video. I was just wondering, you always say that YOU are cleaning and tidying the house. Does your husband not help you? I don't mean it as an offense, maybe it's a cultural thing. I live in Europe, Germany and here men are helping more and more in the house. My husband is Swedish, he works full-time and helps me a lot. In Sweden they teach girls and boys how to iron clothes, sew buttons on shirts, etc. So I was just wondering, if it is different in the US. Lots of love from Germany.
Oh I understand. My husbands travels a lot as well. Thank you so much for your quick reply, I am having a little fan girl moment here 🩷🩷🩷 I wish you and your family a very happy Easter 🌞
Is that hard when he's away for you to manage the housework and kids? Also, on his end how does he combat the jet lag and time switch? Id love to see a video on that @@TheDailyConnoisseur
I agree with your outlook, @susanna4957. My husband also cooks, cleans and washes - it’s a team effort. We have taught our children to take on age appropriate tasks from the time they were small, and now they are big it is a huge help for us, and they are prepared for life!
I enjoyed your video on all the points! It’s so well balanced and organized plus inspiring! Taking humic fulvic minerals can assist in digesting meat more and aiding in an appetite for it. Enzymes too. Many children and adults don’t care to eat meat but actually need it. Their gut may not be high enough in acid therefore not digesting/absorbing it as well. Also, consuming more animal dairy that’s raw even bone broth helps seal the gut lining. I was a vegan for 4 years and gained a lot of weight due to not being satisfied so I snacked and ate a lot of junk despite all the effort to veganize all my meals so elaborately! It was tough 😅. Meat has every mineral that one needs in a meal. The animals have already broken down the plants for us so we consume the animal and benefit that way. Too many nuts regularly and plants made me feel unsatisfied at every meal and has contributed to an autoimmune issue in one of my family members. I’m so glad to see others seeing how important protein is at every stage of life, especially as you’re a child growing or in older years.

Omg Jennifer, you have no idea how excited I am to see this video 😁! It’s like my favorite UA-camr post my favorite kind of video. Thank you ❤️
I'm so excited to hear that! Thank you, Shirani!
Thank you
Thank you so much, Teri!
I am doing IF with my husband. It is a journey!
Yay for CoPilot!
@@lynnsalberg5647who is advising to limit protein? All I see everywhere is people bulking up on protein
That's funny of your husband to say! 😅 Tell him he can always volunteer to do the dishes 😅
The orange pants from your exercise clips are so cute! Are they lightweight? I live somewhere very hot and am always looking for good activewear.
Yes, i do whay feels good. I don't clean if I'm tired...nope. clean in the morning.
I ❤ all of your fancy pants dishwear!
Thank you! It's mainly Portmeirion and Spode ♥
I am the same way about eating protein. I have started to make bone broth and also if I’m in a pinch I will sip Kette & Fire bone broth or even use it for cooking rice/pasta/or any recipe calling for broth. 1 serving has 19g protein.
Great idea!
I am wondering if you will ever post 10 items wardrobe seasonally. I miss those videos
I want to see more of the foods you eat!🥦🍧
For the last several years I have been working on healing my disordered eating habits in order to not pass it onto my children unknowingly. Now I am pregnant with my first baby, still more overweight than I would like to be, but I am MUCH more stable in my eating habits than I would have been even a year ago. After baby arrives I think I'll be finally ready to give my fitness some real focus without having to furiously fight my mental state around food. 😊
Congratulations! I'm so happy for you!
This is so great! Good for you! I unknowingly developed disordered eating as well. I tie it to my weight but not sure how to proceed from there
Looove my rebounder!
Some concerning studies about heart issues and fasting recently.
It may not be safe for everyone .
@@MindfulMusings1
😭 Oh gosh, I’m SO happy for you!!

Oh, bless your heart. I’m so sorry it’s been a struggle for you. I’m very happy to hear you’re getting better and especially with sleep-that’s so crucial!! Blessings to you, and thank you again!!🥰❤️
@@PeaceIsJesusChrist Thank you! My only hope is other women who are having problems see this so it may help them. Blessings to you as well. ☺️
Thank you for another great program, Jennifer. Would you please address the latest scientific findings that intermittent fasting is good for the short term, but increases the probability of a heart attack by nearly 100% for long-term practitioners of this diet method?
Dr. Patty is coming on the channel to discuss this! Stay tuned. ♥
@@TheDailyConnoisseur Great news. Thanks, Jennifer.
Wow ! Its hard to have healthy bones plant based . Good for you!

@@Sacredsimplicitylife I just realized I repeated a lot of information that I wrote previously! Sorry about that. I should have read what I wrote!
Your comment resonates with me; I’ve been watching the many lives of Martha Stewart on Prime while exercising this week. Julie 💐
@@juliecarns Awesome job! It definitely can make working out easier when you feel like you're treating yourself. I got this idea from one of Jennifer's older videos when she talks about finding ways to make the mundane more pleasurable. 🥰
Ah, thank you so much!
Thank you Jennifer for this video. I like your reasonable way of life that makes good sense.
Yes, I agree about rebounding being the fountain of youth. I feel like I'm a kid again jumping up and down on the bed.
Lots of veggies are high protein 💓
Luv your layered hair cut.
Animal protein has the most complete proteins and most nutrition of all foods.
Can you ask your doctor to write a note for a standing desk? Maybe then your employer can cover or reimburse the cost for you?
If you already have one, I've seen the walking treadmills at the desks
Yes! When your mental health is not there, self discipline and motivation and self care is out the window. I speak from experience as well
Do you still do rebounding
🙏- Michelle
I luv Pilates and yoga with weights and exercise bands. Also, I noted that you eat smaller portions on smaller plates. Great ideas.
Thank you, Kellie! I can relate!
Read why we sleep by Dr Matthew Walker, get a child's weighted blanket, and keep the room a bit cooler than normal!

Great video and tips. Just wondering how long you exercise daily. Thanks.

God bless

You are so smart to solidify these habits before menopause and perimenopause. I wish I would have been more educated about the process. I would have added intermittent fasting and actually exercised LESS with more weight training and yoga. These tips help the transition. You go girl😊
Can you clarify why?
Hello Jennifer, Thank you for this timely video; weight catches up with me in January-March because of cold weather pain but I’ve been consistently working out this week and plan to add weights in a few weeks. Your workout form is very good; I prefer a mirror to watch my form.

I love fish too, Julie!
Yes! I’m not a huge fan of animal protein, but I still aim to get at least 100 g of protein per day. 🎉
Love the weight lifting!!

Love your videos Jennifer! You always inspire me.. Thank you 😊
Jennifer, I also could do without meat. Most of the time I can happily skip it, but since I must have protein I do eat it in moderation. Just a few bites of steak or chicken. I can eat more fish, since it's lighter. Eggs and cheese are good.
I'm the same way! I love fish and can eat a lot of it...
Love your hair cut❤
Thank you Jennifer. Very well balanced
Thanks for the reminder to rest, I needed it!
Hi, Jennifer this was a very informative video and inspires me to live well. Please , please do a make up tutorial video for the lovely look you have here. I am interested to see the no make up done on you as mentioned in your books.

Nervous Energy is one the BEST self-care books i've EVER read
i ended up buying a hard copy after i read it.
it's fabulous messaging 😊
Yes! It's an amazing book!
Jennifer, but remember that the quailty of the foods & baked goods in France are top notch, & all natural vs here in the US? There are foods here and ingredients that are Banned in Europe!🤔
Low stomach acid can be one reason for not wanting protein . Incorporate food enzymes to increase stomach acid
At the start of yout video, I thought you had painted your piano Wild Orchid.
Thank you, Jennifer. :) Your daughter made me laugh. :)
Great question! Ben often travels to England for work. When he's here he helps at night for sure.
Oh I understand. My husbands travels a lot as well. Thank you so much for your quick reply, I am having a little fan girl moment here 🩷🩷🩷
I wish you and your family a very happy Easter 🌞
Thank you for sharing your experience!
Yes ❤
