I loved the green sauce. I read many comments but doesn't appear many have made the masa. I followed your instructions, however, the consistency was great but my small masa did not float. I added more baking powder and lard, oh, and more salt. It finally did float but after 20 minutes of mixing. Thank you!

Love green chile and chicken tamales! I also like them with a bit of cheese. String cheese works well, because you can shred it and the slivers are just the right length. Have you ever tried steaming them in the pressure cooker? It saves a LOT of time and they come out soooo goood.
I love how easy it is to follow your cooking method. You show step by step, which makes it nice. One suggestion if you don't mind. I make my meat in the slow cooker/crockpot and cook it for 5 or 6 hours on high and it makes it fall apart I don't have to pull it by hand. It works well whether it's chicken or beef or pork. Gives me time to prepare the other stuff. Thought it might be something you may like to try. Love your videos and recipes.

Hello. I have a quick tip for regarding the tomatillos & serranos. I put the raw tomatillos & serrano or jalapeno chilies in the blender & blend well. Then I cook the mixture in the pot that I will be adding cooked chicken. This saves you time & a mess with blender if the hot tomatillos decide to explode out. I hope you like my trick.
I only added 2 Serrano peppers to the sauce combination and it came out so SPICY for me! But so so flavorful. I just added more broth. Still, soo delicious. Thank you!
Genius move on using the baking sheet rack to roast the chilies! I have a glass-top stove too and have been broiling mine in the oven which sometimes roasts them too much. Great move!!!
So far out of all the videos I’ve watched on how to make them this is my favorite one. I’m gonna be making them for the first time by myself this weekend for a little party I’m throwing and I cant wait, will definitely use this recipe! TY ❤️

Silly story! My mom used to be a prep cook and let me tell you that lady is a mess while cooking when I used to live with her I used to tell her how can you function in a messy kitchen? Till this day I still haven’t got an answer lol i personally need a clean space, makes it easy for me to move around and just get it done! 😊😅 I clean as I go my mom always told me do you think a chef has time to clean their only focus is to cook, I proven her you can do both 😂 💗

I have a question regarding your “how to make Mexican rice video” if I want to make 2 cups of rice instead of one do I need to add double the ingredients or just add more water? ( please answer my question 🥺) . I am learning how to cook because of you💕)
I make it exactly like this but use Poblano peppers but next time i will use the Aneheim chiles...you can also make them a week before and freeze them and on the day of just steam them.

All you need to do is double the water. It’s 2 cups of water per 1cup of rice :)
