Even if it's not the stupid Mercedes blocking, the cop car still had a hard time catching up in a couple occasions. The guy always tried to use his car's better handling capability at turns to lose the cop. He knows on straight roads and freeways he had no chance to escape at all.
He out-drove the trooper because he has no regard for his or anyone elses safety. The cop has to at least try to be safe - like stopping at some of those red lights briefly
Not to mention going into oncoming traffic on the bridge, that coupled with the Mercedes that'd couldn't move over and the chase was done. No additional units to help, sad :(

Yep! A dead end. I use to live just down the hill from there about a block away from that road that goes to the sand dunes by the river. Also my grandpa had an arcade and pool haul called the Electric 8 Ball near the intersection that heads to Fort Roots back when I lived down there.
Thanks to motorists refusing (or being too dumb) to get out of the way, the criminals escaped. I hoped they reviewed the tape, got license plates, and sent some steep fines to the registered owners.

The trooper didn't think to much about the people. His first pit attempt he tried was with on coming traffic. Every single cop know you don't use the pit maneuver with traffic coming the opposite direction. Your supposed to do it while there isn't any traffic, just in case the car slides into on coming traffic.

@@Un1t276 That may be true, but there is a curve there and as far as I know radar only measures in a straight line. And it's hard to measure when you're in a thicket of other cars. I know this because I've been in the far left lane, and I've passed troopers running radar on the right hand shoulder with traffic in the center lane and left lane and they've never caught me. If multiple cars pass in front of the radar, it usually gives the speed of the first car it encounters...in this case, the car in the far left lane. If you're savvy enough, you can get away with it.

Wanted for speeding? Seems a bit reckless to chase for that, and put so many lives in danger. There's plenty of chase videos with fatal endings.
Do you know how many law bidding citizens get chased for speeding and try to outrun the police?? There are plenty of videos also of people running from police because they have done bad things to citizens in their neighborhood and I am sure would be yelling if police didn't chase

Wow!!!!!!! I have never seen so many ignorant drivers! When you see flashing lights and hear sirens behind you, signal, pull to the right and get out of the way, how hard is that to do???? Wow, it's called common courtesy!!
These Arkansas State Troopers are out of control. They need an extreme re-write of their pursuit policy. I've seen several videos of their recent pursuits all with really poor decisions on their part. The Trooper was willing to continue a pursuit through an active college campus for a driver he was trying to stop for SPEEDING?!
Attempted to stop then for speeding but definitely ran for a reason so it’s reasonable to chase then but I agree sometimes it’s better to terminate a pursuit than to put the public at risk
Very proud of this policeman, didn't kill anyone over a speeding ticket.

There's more than one way to catch these guys instead of putting the public in harm's way and then after running over bodies and damaging property, the cops are like "oops!! My bad!" Smh...

Yes we are supposed 2. But as you can see in this video these drivers act as if they haven’t a clue that something is going on around them. AND that’s about 85% of our drivers. I am sad 2 say!
