I'm amazed at how the Landrover got so far ahead without flashing lights and sirens.
Apparently people don't move for red lights and sirens...
Ohio should change it's logo to the left-lane camping state.
They're just as bad, if not worse in Kentucky. And Illinois. And...ya know, pretty much everywhere. lol
Our world is filled with ignorant narcissists.
Did anyone else notice the sparks fly off to the left when he went into reverse?
that red car is probably an elderly person
It’s because there’s so many cops. Residents live in fear. I hate traveling through Ohio, and avoid it at all costs. You will see cops sitting at almost every opening on the freeway sometimes. It’s insanity.
The left lane is known as the 'Passing Lane' . . . except for Ohio, where it is known as the 'Passing Time Lane.'
This channel only uploaded it's first video less than a month ago, but I think it's safe to call this Comment of the Year 🤣
I'm in Ohio- and I can 100% confirm, people here LOVE the left lane.
I can’t believe how many times I’ve watched someone enter the highway and move directly to the left lane and there’s nooooobody else around. And then that sets up the opposite scenario where a lot of drivers automatically go right to pass, especially on 3-lane highways.
@@dguiley it's like that in upstate NY Syracuse Rochester Buffalo area you'll have 1 guy going 60 mph holding everyone up and cars build up on 2 lane Highway then you have to find a opening and pass on the right and it happens every few miles I hate driving up there
They do it in Colorado too. Some people just don’t care, unfortunately.
the driver of the red car at 24:06 needs to cited for failing to move for an emergency vehicle. that was insane.
For real!!!!!
Pretty sure it’s a female
I think that was on purpose
One thing about these video, you start to realize how many people are completely clueless about what is going on around them. Not what is coming up behind them, not yielding to law enforcement with lights & siren, etc. It's scary how many folks are zoned out & not paying attention.
To called tunnel vision
Clueless is an understatement big time
For the most part your right. But some of these drivers look like they are intentionally dragging their feet...it looks as if there pissed off that they let the range rover go past quickly but they dont want to be bothered again. This video has some very strange moments and strange aspects about it....how many times has the young patrolman been held up by traffic? 25x or more ...how in God's name did the range rover guy get through so fast? ..its impossible but it looks like the traffic has purposely been holding up the cop...dont say the rover has gone to the emergency lane every time because your cop did it 20x and still lost contact...the range rover on wikepedia has the top factory engine at 557 horsepower
Not in Los Angeles
I was thinking the same thing... it's like these people are completely oblivious to the situation lol

You gotta take into account how fast he's going . I rarely use my rear view.
However, I'm also usually the guy doing 130 😂😂
If you notice, his primary’s were NOT ON towards the end for a little while, that’s why!
The amount of drivers who lack awareness is crazy. Like you could be getting tailed to your house and robbed or something like that.
At the risk of incurring y’all’s wrath... I’ve been in conversation, or lost in thought, and neglected to hear a siren or see the lights a few times. Most of the time I’m good, but I have missed a couple and I’m sure the officers were screaming obscenities at me. But some of these people seemed like they were deliberately trying to slow the officer down. If I were the Chief, I’d be mailing warning letters to the vehicle owners.

That Land Rover gave that charger a run for it’s money, great driving by the trooper but holy shit that rover was screaming!!
Haha best commment
Listen to that charger scream ! It sounds very pissed that it out done by a Land Rover
Negatory...
The trooper dilly-dallied around for a good 5 miles before he slowly realized the Rover wasn't traveling at the speed limit and he might just have to go a wee bit faster than the speed limit to even have a chance at seeing him again. When you're in a race, the time to open her up is right from the get-go till the end. Not dwaddle along trying to make it a fair race. Ramming speed from the word go.
In the old days, especially on a felony stop, we'd have them drop their keys out of the driver's door. This would eliminate 9/10 from bolting ( a few would have dummy/toss keys ). But now a days with the $5-600 key FOBs and Miss Prissypants getting all butt hurt and her panties in a knot, we're not allowed to effectively work them any more. Hell, even pulling your pistol and holding it behind your hip as you approached the driver's door is forbidden ! So much for officer safety. So back to the chase ...
A true battle of which subpar vehicle would give out first. Honestly thought Sir Lucas, Prince of Darkness would strike before the FCA had an issue as it's a big ask to have either of those brands last.
That Land Rover walked the dog on him

I ride motorcycles, so I’ve run from police a lot. I know how to lose a cop easily and make sure I stay free. I will say the thrill I get from running is unlike anything else. When there's a cop car behind you responding to an emergency call or pursuing someone, the inside of your own car lights up like a Christmas tree. There's absolutely no excuse for not seeing them.
Man, that was a pursuit. Never underestimate a determined criminal. They'll put everyone in danger trying to get away.
And cops will put everyone else in danger to boost their ego.
@@Whitescenerytopics Yeah you’re right, because they should leave it to the speeding fairies to descend from the heavens and pursue them instead 🙄 You’re a dolt.
@@CygnusRoc Here’s a little common sense. Instead of pursuing the criminal and endangering hundreds of citizens. How about they stop chasing them so the guy could then slow down and stop speeding, go home and whala! No one dies! Ohhh wait that makes too much sense for the regular folk so let’s pick the more dangerous route. :) It’s people like you that when cops crash into families your like, “well he had a good reason” lmao noodle head
@@Whitescenerytopics yeah, cause everyone knows the criminal will just return to normal speed when the police disappear. Almost nobody flees like that to avoid a ticket. They flee to avoid criminal activity being discovered. It could range from a suspended license to a body in the trunk. They won’t know till they stop the vehicle.
Crashes happen all the time after we stop pursuing in my county. And all the criminals know we won’t pursue or do anything to attempt to stop them. Which is why we have crime problems in my county. The police have their hands tied.
Take a class on highway interdiction. That car was trafficking something. Dope, guns, money, who knows. That stop was more then a speed stop. The driving pattern before the stop was telltale sign of someone trying to avoid detection and nervous about the presence of the trooper. Passenger was seen bailing out of the vehicle with a suitcase. Unfortunately it sounded like the passenger got away with whatever they were trafficking.
I guess you tools, didn’t notice the start of the video? The selfish idiot in the Land Rover was ALREADY speeding like a loon when he tried to pull him over and he took off! So according to you it’s not the criminal that’s risking everyone’s lives every single day driving like a moron, it’s the cops that are trying to pull them over and make them suffer consequences for putting peoples lives at risk every time they get behind the wheel. Because maybe you are to stupid to figure it out but most people are killed by idiots driving bad NOT the cops trying to catch them!

calm down Adolf it's not that big of a deal. i know it is for your OCD but for the real world it doesn't matter. Ohio is a dense state with a lot of traffic and really strict and over the top speed enforcement, it's not your authoritarian country's wide open freeways and authoritarian culture. also in Ohio drivers are taught to move to closest shoulder not the right shoulder
@@brianlacroix822 It is a big deal, don't say it isn't just because you're uneducated about traffic flow statistics. It's vital to stay as far right as possible, except when overtaking. If people like you got out of their ignorance bubbles, traffic density would decrease dramatically and you wouldn't have to worry about it in the first place. But it's no use even arguing, you probably cruise at exactly the speed limit in the passing lane, sitting 4 inches from your steering wheel listening to AM radio. There's no use trying to hammer it into your skull that, whether you know it or not, you're the most significant reason for traffic according to every credible traffic analysis ever. But whatever, keep your blinders on grandma, people will continue to undertake you from the right and you will go about the rest of your life, stuck in traffic, with your fellow Ohio dwellers.

Often times they are trying to guess what the cop is going to do. If you are doing speed limit, by the time you see a cop coming at you doing 140 it's too late to change lanes or he will hit you and kill you both. It is often best to stay where you are if he has already made a decision to pass on the right.

A. Speed up and move to the right
B. Maintain the same speed as the truck and block both lanes
C. Brake check the cop

As a retired cop I can’t believe he wasn’t called off the pursuit. Unless they knew the driver was wanted for a bad crime all u have is the traffic stop for driving violation of some kind. The high speed is bad enough of interstate but through city streets putting the public at harm u call off the pursuit cause if he would have hit and killed someone he would be held responsible

14:36 his cop buddies will never let that one go 🤣🤣🤣🤣
*Member that time you threw your stop sticks and hit the suspects window* 😂😂😂😂😂
Lol
Especially since it got away.... That was their one shot at stopping the rover and he 100% fumbled the ball.. Horrible spike..

Everybody is gangsta until a cop comes around.
And everybody starts to drive like saints :-)
No shit
Uk mofos b on bs
Surprised the Land Rover didn’t break down 2 minutes into the chase.
I’m pretty sure he’s the guy that crashed going over tracks at over 100mph in a 25, ripped the car apart, I actually have pictures of the crash
As an Ohioan I can confirm that people do hog the left lane.
More excitement than NASCAR
I'm glad he wrecked it and didn't get away like it looked like he/they were going to. Great driving by the cop.
The truck hit the landrover which going 80 plus on a street which probably made it flip over or slide into another car or building
If you chase that Rover enough it will break down
It is ford 🤔 makes sense
@@727gonzalez3 Tata Motor Co....Ford hasn’t had it’s hand in Rover in years🙄 Try again, lol 😂
@@billygoat4591 The still use Ford for platforms.
@@edsloan8535 If that is truly the case that makes it a Ford?🤔 Ford sold their portion of RR 2008, 2009 I believe
i have 3 land rovers two 10 year old with 100k miles and one 4 year old with 60k miles and not one has broken down on me
After watching this, First I am amazed at how fast that discovery is Lol.
Second, Listen to the first pursuing trooper. Calm, Collected, Articulate, and a hell of a driver !
I would have expected that kind of speed and acceleration out of a Range Rover, but I was definitely surprised a Discovery could manage it. Those OSP Chargers are no slouch
That landrover was fast but he outdrive the officer also when people hear sirens they all slow down causing a traffic jam so the discovery had more of an advantage by being the lead car
I've seen a lot of frustrating ones from Florida, but oh my gosh I was almost screaming at my monitor. MOVE OVER!!! I seriously hope they can cite that stupid driver in the red Pontiac.
Other than that, great driving from the trooper. Kept his cool too. I just feel bad for whoever if the perp struck somebody else.
Man the person is wrong for putting everyone life at risk but damn he can drive
That chase put more people in danger than his original infraction
And how do you know what the reason for the stop was?? The report was of reckless drivers. Do you want them going down the road and killing people? Yea, the Trooper was driving fast. Its called a pursuit for a reason. People need to pay attention and get the hell out of the way so the Trooper can do his job.
@@KnightRider1983 That trooper put hundreds of lives in danger because of his ego. He could have clearly recorded the license plate of that vehicle and arrested him at his home. Or if it was a rental, they would have still gotten his information through the rental company.
@@yg78t76t7 Just because they have a plate, or the name/address of the registered owner, doesn't mean that's who was driving, and they won't be able to prove who was driving if they just show up and arrest them at home.. The driver of the SUV put "hundreds of lives in danger"- at least the trooper had lights and sirens to alert people he was coming.. as well as specialized driver training that civilians don't have.
@@danlenox1430 yeah bullshit on the lights and sirens, they don't alter the laws of physics. Things seemed a lot safer and calm before the cop intervened.
Take a class on highway interdiction. That car was trafficking something. Dope, guns, money, who knows. This was more then a speed stop.
The driving pattern before the stop was telltale sign of someone trying to avoid detection and nervous about the presence of the trooper. Passenger was seen bailing out of the vehicle with a suitcase.
my hands are shaking just seeing how fast the trooper has to go on highways and streets like that , props to him for keeping cool!
He doesn't have to go that fast, it's his Ego at that point, he was driving like a maniac.
that poor OSP car...'I'm given her all she's got Captn'
FLY HER APART THEN!!
Considering the traffic, it's pretty fair to say the big Dodge wasn't maxed out at its 150 mph speed limiter.
@@UnionThugg Wait.. It's limited to 150 mph? I thought it was just not aerodynamic enough to pass that speed. Also, I've seen a police chase where the dodge charger went 152 mph.
@@x86_architecture10 up until 2021, V8 Charger Pursuit models had 3 different speed settings - 152 with W-rated tires, 149 with V-rated, and 130 as an option.
The CHP tested a 2006 V8 Charger Pursuit without the limiter, which ran 165 mph. They repeated that test again with a 2012 model, which ran 172 mph.
In 2021, Chrysler Fleet clamped down on the fun a bit, with both Charger Pursuit models limited to 140 mph, and the Durango Pursuits brought up to 130 mph.
that troopers driving is absolutely amazing. ❤❤
The trooper's driving!? How about the guy in the Land Rover's driving? The Land Rover did not have the benefit of flashing lights to get everyone to pull over as he drove at over 100 mph. Now that was amazing.
He wasn’t good he was simply lucky. Many people think because they have a fast car they are Professional drivers. Go to an advanced motorcycle riding school or professional driving school and you’ll learn real quick what a basic driver you really are. Traction control, cornering, acceleration and braking, these take years to master.
The trooper was good the Land Rover was lucky. Let me clarify.
@@ChibiSamurai4688 the trooper had the advantage of lights and a siren in a vehicle with a lower center of gravity. Sorry, you're backwards here buddy - troopers driving was good, but the Rover's driving was clearly advanced. Sure, there is some luck involved, but that was a long chase... the guy in the Rover knew what he was doing. He's not going to be able to escape the fact, though, that his license plate is on video... so, he must have had a lot of drugs in the car, felony warrants, or the Rover was stolen. Otherwise, his running doesn't make much sense.
@R J John - sometimes there's no rhyme or reason for a chase - instinct can kick in and throw rational thought out the window
I don't know for sure about the video but I'm speaking from experience
Might be the best marketing video for Land Rover Discovery. I was impressed. It still probably ran out of oil though.
And holy crap that Land Rover must be the supercharged discovery... even so, damn!
"OHIO is THE WORST" state for people driving in the left lane. Some times it is the police, been that way for many years. They never enforce this law, might have caught this guy if people in Ohio knew how to drive.
this cop passed the exit the car jump a railroad track and went up in flame i live here lol they caught 2 but 1 walked away with a suitcase and was never caught
Maybe you've never been to Seattle, we have Priuses in lateral lines across all lanes of the freeway all driving 3mph under the limit.
@@JeffKogut Tell me about it. I live in seattle and commute 15 miles to Bellevue and back for work everyday. Priuses and other econoboxes love hogging the left lane, especially on I-405. Nobody here knows about the left lane rule or how to fucking drive
Obviously you DON'T know about the really great drivers (motorists) in Illinois- especially the Chicagoland area. Was a sheriff's deputy in Crook- I mean, Cook County for 10 years. All I can say is: DAMN!
Bunch of FIFOs
Holy F. That was intense. I’m sweating.
Loved this commercial___See your Land Rover dealer near you!!
One of the best chases I've ever seen. So damn fast, omg
Hi 🍭
Yeah i usually skip through pursuits but for some reason my eyes were glued to this one
Popeye Doyle ain't got shit on this dude. Frosty af.
@Jim Marbaz go to public domain to obtain the unit number, that engine ran flat-out all day no sweat
I'm a retired owner of a trucking company. I feel 1, truckers that cruise in the left lane should automatically receive a ticket. And 2, people that don't pull right for emergency vehicles should receive a ticket in the mail. I've seen this so much it's insane.
Dammit! That Land Rover is freaking fast.
my 1-6 vauxhall can do 128 whats the problem
some big cruisers cant do 120.
iv seen the videos.
That's because that Land Rover's got a 340-hp Supercharged 3.0-liter V6 engine.
Cop was absolutely gunning it on the freeway and couldn't even sniff him for the first 8 minutes till the perp took the exit. Amazing nobody wrecked that part.
The most heartbreaking thing that any cop can feel is losing the perp.
Joe: I've lost the perp *proceeds to cry*
No i think that would be having to shoot someone to defend yourself/others.
@@EraserNZ I agree
Holy shit! 😂 Ten minutes later and he actually caught up to him. Damn I thought dude was gone.
Can't believe how many people didn't merge right for the officer.
I'm screaming at the phone "Move Out The Got Damn Way Cars!"🤣
