I absolutely agree with Judge Vonda's ruling. The ONLY REASON this mother wanted custody of her daughter was so she wouldn't have to pay Grandma this $1000 in child support. Agree and with a deceased parent she may be eligible for survivors benefit thru Social Secutity. Maybe the "mother" looking to have child pay her that. Judge made right decision. Gramma needs guardianship.

She really should have just kept quiet on that though because her bringing attention to that isn't all of a sudden going to help the other kids. Their respective families would still have to petition for child support on their own etc. Grandma could have used that extra $200+.
If she didn't say anything, it might come back in the future that she knew and kept quiet, as if she was going along with the mom, possibly raising questions about her honesty.
I think grandma told because she knew she would be lying to the court if she hadn't and they could prove Gma knew. It would be perjury to benefit herself. The mom didn't say anything about the other kids because she knew it would make her look bad.
Me and my husband of 42 years 62, me 60 are raising our grand who will be 9yrs.old July and my son or her mother don't do anything to help ,our older kids help with what we can't do I work , she was taken from them 4 times to live with us every time. She goes to therapy 3times a week theses parents don't understand what they put their child or children through but want to raise hell when they can't get their way pray for our young people 🙏 🙌 ❤️

ive been working on my career however me being a single mom of 2 boys (9&2) i stand up to my responsibilities because my children are my world. i do not receive any kind of financial support for either one nor have i attempted to take them to court bc i dont want to waste my time. i am content with me myself and my 2 boys

@@josephine4611 .....when the parent/parents of a minor child dies, that child/children is entitled to the social security death benefits. Whoever is the legal guardian, that person is responsible for handling the funds. Those benefits are only payable until age 18, or whenever the the is no longer a full time student, generally at age 21/22.

Never did I think of just abandoning my kids or think my parents were somehow responsible for raising my kids. It's sad she doesn't seem to give two hoots about any of her kids. My parents helped babysit while I had military obligations once a month, and loaned me money for groceries at times. I'm so grateful for the support they gave in watching them in guard weekends and the help with groceries at times.

When my ex-wife was taken advantage of the system like this when we divorced, I turned her sorry ass in, and even though they kicked her off of section 8, WIC, and lying about her income, she didn't even get punished, and I thought that wasn't fair, she should've went to jail or had to pay all that money she scammed the system, and so should other people when they've been caught!

She’s a family lawyer so she’s within her rights to award the grandmother custody. I wouldn’t want that baby to be with someone who is making 70.000 grand and only thinks it’s sufficient to pay insurance.

My husband's mom was the one doing ALL the lying but she got away with things for so long bc we didn't know what we were doing smh....Oh but I finally got my mind in it and took my feelings out and WALA MAGIC we won full custody after 8 years!!!! We had all the odds stacked against us but we knew we didn't have to lie about nothing!!!!! Homegirl wanna kick it and be kid free, now this child sounds like she truly needs to be with grandma!!!! Sadly most courts are always in favor of the "Mother", case in point in Missouri. My ex-wife lied, bribed, and had cop friends destroy my life. They wouldn't even listen to me.

I have a feeling the only reason why the mom wanted the daughter back was to use her for food stamps and what ever else she has done over the years. Thank goodness to the grandmother for telling the truth about her having other children before she even mentioned that she had other kids I could tell just by looking at how she answered that question that she had other kids and she didn't want to say anything because she knew she was in the wrong with every last one of them. She will definitely have to answer for her own doings as own doings as her children are old enough to find her and get ahold of her and find out why she was not there for them growing up going up it will not be a good day for her at all when they finally do get in contact with her. I have a feeling the only reason why the mom wanted the daughter back was to use her for food stamps and what ever else she has done over the years. Thank goodness to the grandmother for telling the truth about her having other children before she even mentioned that she had other kids I could tell just by looking at how she answered that question that she had other kids and she didn't want to say anything because she knew she was in the wrong with every last one of them. She will definitely have to answer for her own doings as own doings as her children are old enough to find her and get ahold of her and find out why she was not there for them growing up going up it will not be a good day for her at all when they finally do get in contact with her. Especially if she doesn't want to own Up to everything that she has done over the years. And I'd be mighty surprised if she doesn't have more than 3 children.
