I’ve been saying since 1.1.2024 that I was going to start being consistent and work out with Jo. Well, it only took me 17 days for my actions to catch up😢😊, but I finally did it. Thank you Jesus. Tha k you so much for linking the video you were watching. I've been battling grief the past 2 years after losing my sister, and it has made me become Extremely stagnant. I move to go to the bathroom and get food, the rest of my day I spend in bed. I do this 6 days a week if not all 7. I've started to notice my lack of movement taking a toll on my body and I want to get better, but I'm still depressed. You're exactly right, even the minimum is better than nothing at all.

This felt amazing and like I was dancing with sunshine personified !!! I loved the simple 10 second "marching" or chabging the weight from one foot to the other breaks and loved how it got more intense towards the end. I feel so confident and delighted! I can’t dance for anything. I had someone ask me at a club once and he thought I was trying to nicely reject him. He convinced me into getting out on the dance floor saying he’d help me….. well I ended up stepping ALL OVER his feet and bumping into him and not in a good way lol. He looked at me and said “You really CANT dance!!). I said I told you so lmao. I’m thinking maybe trying this with my 13 yo daughter who needs to move around more as well and maybe it’ll be some good bonding time with my teenager! 😊

@@Romy2809-y5o It's very easy, they only complicate things. I lost weight only through an easy plan, which is that I gradually reduced sugar, bread, and pastries. Then I did exercises with Jo for only an hour every day. I promise you, if you stick to this, you will succeed.

Or did you use the monthly plan where all her videos are in order without commercials!? I am already working on my diet, but need to start exercising. I have lots of weights to lose.

Can't tell you enough how much your channel is helping me to finally feel like I am getting the hang with workouts. Dance workouts are lovely for days I don't feel I can do the more challenging things, like the 20-10-5. And overall they are all so doable and you are so relatable as a person. @@paulaapolot3621 Find your why, and make sure it's strong enough. Also it's highly dependent on self discipline. Lastly my advice is to overpower your mind. When it says "I can't keep going" tell it "just try for one more minute, you can do it" that really helps!
@@paulaapolot3621 also find out what you like doing, for me, I bounce between growwithjo and blogilates. They're just the most enjoyable to me. Jo always has me dancing and grooving, while Cassey will have me working hard but the reward afterwards is worth it. So you gotta find what you enjoy doing
@@paulaapolot3621 create a sense of need. Ask yourself why you want to lose weight? And what are the benefits of losing the weight, and what are the cons of not losing the weight (and vice versa)? You really have to work on changing your mindset first, and then work on discipline. Motivation is nice, but as you noticed it doesn't last. You have to build discipline and start slow. I'm still working on it myself and I have days where I slack off, but the most important thing is that you get yourself back up on your feet. You got this!!

Just what I needed today! I ended my workday with a headache and no motivation to work out. But I didn't want that to become my excuse so I dabbed on some peppermint halo and decided to opt for some cardio. I got a little sweat on,, moved my body and showed up for myself today. Thanks, Jo!
This is my second day working out with your channel and as someone with Elhers Danlos Syndrome, it's been so awesome to do a workout that doesn't cause me extreme pain the day after, but I feel amazing, my skin is glowing, my brain is focused and my energy is high.

I’ve been doing your videos for about a month and a half, & I actually look forward to working out now & find myself doing random moves throughout the day 😆 I usually get exercise through walks, but now I finally found something that will add a bit more to taking care of myself. Also, I love the gospel workouts! One more thing: I randomly got the idea during one of your workouts the other day how fun a Ne-Yo themed dance workout would be! I used to follow 30 mins dance cardio, so I underestimated it the first 5 minutes. When I'm finished, it gave me real sweat. Salute! I'll be doing this dance workout from now on.

I never thought I'd say this, but I was sad that I missed my workout yesterday. I had such a rough time yesterday, and all I wanted to do was go for a run. I made up for that missed workout this morning. I worked my butt off during this workout and I'm so proud of myself!

This is what I needed! A nerve on my back was pinched and it took me much longer to recover from that than I expected. This was my first workout after 6 or 8 weeks. The next day I could feel all of my muscles in my back (shoulders, sides, etc). It was horrible:)) but felt so good that this workout could move all of my back and help me to get back on track. I already did it 2-3 more times, but I didn't feel muscle aches already after the second time, which is okay because it means my back is not that stiff. The most important this is that I know this workout helps me to move different parts of my back, so I'll do it at least once a week. Thank you:)
Ive found with dance videos, i get overwhelmed trying to figure out the moves. Decided to try following along lightly in a chair first and it really helped! Looking forward to my new routine!
My current weight is 62.40 kg. Will update after 5 days for the result.. Love it that I don't have to wear any shoes or any other special clothes for this workout. I can start it wherever I am. In kitchen.... On terrace....bedroom....anywhere in whatever I am wearing. Thanks jo....

@@paulaapolot3621 also find out what you like doing, for me, I bounce between growwithjo and blogilates. They're just the most enjoyable to me. Jo always has me dancing and grooving, while Cassey will have me working hard but the reward afterwards is worth it. So you gotta find what you enjoy doing
@@paulaapolot3621 create a sense of need. Ask yourself why you want to lose weight? And what are the benefits of losing the weight, and what are the cons of not losing the weight (and vice versa)? You really have to work on changing your mindset first, and then work on discipline. Motivation is nice, but as you noticed it doesn't last. You have to build discipline and start slow. I'm still working on it myself and I have days where I slack off, but the most important thing is that you get yourself back up on your feet. You got this!!

Jo! I love your workouts soo much. I started doing your workouts in April last year and my body has changed soo much. I feel so excited to do your workouts . I have been trying to lose weight for three years before I found your channel and I was never motivated to workout so I would stop and start gaining weight again,but when I started doing your workouts I have always been motivated and excited to do them. I have lost 10Ibs from doing your workouts. I still have a long way to go but I know I can reach my goals ,by staying consistent with doing your workouts
Just what I needed today! I ended my workday with a headache and no motivation to work out. But I didn't want that to become my excuse so I dabbed on some peppermint halo and decided to opt for some cardio. I got a little sweat on,, moved my body and showed up for myself today. Thanks, Jo!

This is my second day working out with your channel and as someone with Elhers Danlos Syndrome, it's been so awesome to do a workout that doesn't cause me extreme pain the day after, but I feel amazing, my skin is glowing, my brain is focused and my energy is high.
I loved this dance workout so much! It's really motivated me to exercise while having fun!! I've even started adding 2kg weights as I do it and even though that doesn't seem like much I just feel so much stronger. Baby steps!♥

I’ve been doing your videos for about a month and a half, & I actually look forward to working out now & find myself doing random moves throughout the day 😆 I usually get exercise through walks, but now I finally found something that will add a bit more to taking care of myself. Also, I love the gospel workouts!
One more thing: I randomly got the idea during one of your workouts the other day how fun a Ne-Yo themed dance workout would be! Like with some of his big songs like Closer, Because of You, Miss Independent, Let Me Love You…etc 🤩

I used to follow 30 mins dance cardio, so I underestimated it the first 5 minutes. When I'm finished, it gave me real sweat. Salute! I'll be doing this dance workout from now on.

I never thought I'd say this, but I was sad that I missed my workout yesterday.
I had such a rough time yesterday, and all I wanted to do was go for a run.
I made up for that missed workout this morning. I worked my butt off during this workout and I'm so proud of myself!

This is what I needed! A nerve on my back was pinched and it took me much longer to recover from that than I expected. This was my first workout after 6 or 8 weeks. The next day I could feel all of my muscles in my back (shoulders, sides, etc). It was horrible:)) but felt so good that this workout could move all of my back and help me to get back on track. I already did it 2-3 more times, but I didn't feel muscle aches already after the second time, which is okay because it means my back is not that stiff. The most important this is that I know this workout helps me to move different parts of my back, so I'll do it at least once a week. Thank you:)
Ive found with dance videos, i get overwhelmed trying to figure out the moves. Decided to try following along lightly in a chair first and it really helped! Looking forward to my new routine!
