He become so humble, to admit that Holmes was past his prime.
Conan asks better questions than esnews?!
voongnz
Everybody ask better questions that esnews LOL
+Vincent Marduk An even older Larry Holmes later schooled much younger champions. Though Tyson made it look easy there was a chance the cagey veteran could string the fight out and make Tyson look bad. Tyson didn't let that happen though. But then again Kevin Rooney was in his corner then and when he left so did Tyson's edge.
+MrDrmillgram BS, name a great fighter AFTER Tyson that Rooney trained?
+Vincent Marduk tyson ALWAYS plays/played the humble role. going back to before he was champ he's always been like that. i remember he and ali were on a show together and ali was hiding behind the couch or something. they asked ali whats wrong and he pointed at mike and said "im scared of him" jokingly ofcourse. then he starts to say how great of a fighter mikes going to be and mike is just smiling saying "i wouldnt stand a chance". right after the holmes fight he was saying holmes was past his prime.
Everytime he speaks of Cus D'Amato he tears a bit, just shows how much he loved that guy and how thankful he is.
yes!!
Combination of Cus dying and the vulture that is Don King really did Mike in
+Jason Tyson true, he continually kept losing speed and accuracy in the ring, amd lost all his battles out of it after cus
Nat Brown I loved cus.
Mike wouldnt have been nothing without Cus
In tysons own words. "All heads must bow, all tongues must confess. Muhammad Ali is the greatest of all time"
Bollocks...Put them all in a room and Tyson in his prime, would have been the last man standing...
@@laslasman1206 Lol no way man. Foreman would chop him down like lumber.
Indeed muhammad alibtge greatest
Ali and Tyson the GOATS
Both admitted that they would lose to each other
Greg O'Donnell ripoff of a bible quote “Jesus Christ is Lord”
It gave me chills when he said at 14 years old, he was crying to Ali saying, "I'll get him for you when I get big". How precious, passionate, protective and empathetic towards Ali's loss.
R.I.P Ali
rip ali and malcom x they was the great they new islam means

_"I was pretty lucky to win. Larry was pretty old by that time."_
Wow. Some real humility from Mike Tyson there. Larry Holmes was a great fighter. And should be respected so.
Really beautiful.
Your profile picture... I like. Jk. Yeah, Mike Tyson set a path of revenge and didn't get it. By the end, he gained humility.
Sonny Liston was way older when he fought Ali and Patterson.
Ikr he never mentioned about himself on how great he was.
@@H.K.5 The fight announcer said he was 30

That's great
@MUFC Kid, I’ve seen this same comment in 95% of the boxing videos I watched. Like you, I am also a football fan but I get the feeling that you are downgrading boxing which is not cool. I couldn’t care less if Murica, Canada, etc. decide to watch real football and I believe most boxing fans don’t care as well. Also, I respect that you are a Man United fan (club with history) but Arsenal better
@@mohamedalhasy3418 whahaha😂👌🏽
So Dave Chappelle, The Rock and Iron Mike Tyson all met Ali before they became famous
very interesting
+Hamza Ahmed well, The Rock and Mike Tyson had connections to famous people before they were famous, so its not hard to believe at all.
+jack frost yup Tysons trainer at the time was the same guy who trained Floyd Patterson, long story short
alot more people met ali.... and they're not famous
Brandon Lang LMFAO
Even Arnold Schwarzenegger.. met Muhammad Ali one of his idols before he got the huge reputation in the Cinema industry
People here laughing at his tongue but y'll won't reach what he reached
It is something you would never say to his face.
+The Joker Haven't you already though?
You're an idiot. Just like the actor playing that lame character in that shitty film.
You can't control a rape charge. If you're rich, which you will never be, you will attract all kinds of shitty people who would do anything to get some of that money.
Kay C Nobody will ever reach what Mike reached. Youngest Heavyweight champion that ever was, and probably ever will be, at just 19 years of age. He was a child Heavyweight champ, on top of the world, and rich. People criticize him for his actions and words. What do you expect? Someone who didn't have anything and being homeless, to having anything and everything he wanted, while being just a kid. He turned out pretty damn well for being through what Mike has been through.
Plus he is a very humble man
RIP Muhammad Ali : The Greatest
InnaLillah wa innaliLLahi rojiun.
nope tyson the greatest
@@jatjatt hahahaha lol bro Muhammad ali is Tyson's Idol.He clearly admitted that in this video at about the boxing matches..Ali lost only 5 in 66 while Tyson lost 6 in only 55!!
Vinay Tomar nah fanboy
@@jatjatt Tyson literally admitted that he would get beaten up by Muhammad Ali
“Yes, I could do that. Yes.” I think it’s a shame Mike was never given credit for his customer service skills

hey +southern Traveller. don't say that mate, we are free to believe in whatever we want to, so if you're an atheist or whatever, just keep it to yourself, and we keep ours to ourselves, we believe in ours, and you believe in yours, okay? we can prolong this, by saying atheist is stupid, bullshit or whatever, and keep on saying god do exist and other heaps of stuffs, but we don't, and I choose don't, i respect yours and you respect ours, aight mate?

before I played that clip my dad busted out laughing I wondered why
Hahahaha...Mike said "I can do that,yes"...hahahaha
Boogie The Mann, yeh haha. I think mike purposefully uses a comedy angle of putting on a polite manner when talking about aggressive moments. He did it in another video too
damn savage, I love mike Tyson.
Hell yea.
Steven Gonzales my bother in law trained with him in Tysons hometown
I love Mike Tyson. The most vicious champion ever. And now in his later years a very smart and reflective, poetic person.
Best story ever! Ali was the greatest sportsman and superstar of all time.
A B Nope.
Tim Prescott nope what he is the greatest
@@abdallaahmed7818 Boxer? Arguably yes. Greatest sportsman and superstar? EASILY arguable and incredibly subjective...
This makes me sad and happy at the same time.
Sad that he's gone, and happy that I know Mike kept his promise.
Mike has evolved into a humble man, definitely up there with the greatest of all time
Rest In Peace Ali
I loved his honesty when he said " I was lucky , Larry Holmes was old "
@Angel Baron what? How was he not lucky? Holmes was an old dude who came out of retirement to fight Tyson.
@@stealth7516 He fought for 14 more years and won 20 more professional boxing fights after he lost to Mike. Not to say he was 48-2 in his career.
Cus was a lifetime teacher for Mike.He gave Mike confidence to face the rigors of life. Mike became a humble and well rounded man when he matured. I really admire him now.
The champ!! No matter what he is doing, love seeing big mike! And great MA story!! Holy shit
I love how humble he is, he said well he got lucky and that his opponent was older.
"Yes, I can do that... yes" pure talent. The man was and still is amazing
RIP Champ. True icon and legend. Thank you for everything.
Mayweather wouldn't agree.
+ecbenny J but the rest of the world would...
Timeless _ Heart True, but Mayweather would have a lot to say to back up his claim as the greatest. He could say he has a perfect record, never took punishment like Ali had, having more PPV buys, which is a weak argument because back when Ali was boxing, no boxer cared about PPV buys and were more interested in seeing who they could beat, not beating PPV numbers.
Much respect to Mike Tyson for showing love to the greatest of all time Muhammad Ali! RIP Champ
In this day and age, we don’t really see people value the importance of having heroes to look up to, the same way Iron Mike looks up to Ali
From being a thug, Tyson turned himself into a pretty decent and modest human being.
@Smart observer It also teaches violence. If Tyson became a modest human being, it was because of his wife. He himself says that in the book. Don't bring Religion where it does not belong.
@Smart observer Smoking DMT from a Toad was what made Tyson humble. Not Islam.
@Smart observer No religious theory can achieve what DMT achieves. With the last you actually get to meet the Gods.
Smoking pot makes you humble. Ever met a violent rastafari?

Conan is a great interviewer. One of the few that really gave Mike a good vibe asking good questions 💯
I can perfectly understand Mike Tyson and I think people are milking an already milked-to-death joke.
He’s so down to earth and respectful gotta respect this man on and off the ring
Mike is so honest all the time. Open minded, shares both the dark and bright side. Very very true in what he speaks
R.I.P Muhammad Ali :'(
He's a humble guy
I love his lisp actually find the way he speaks really calm and soothing. Mike really turned his attitude around i like what that man has become. He’s funny smart compassionate and cool.
The most realest person ull meet in ur life.. he doesnr brag about who tyson is or who he ko or the millions he made, he always shares those behind the camera moments like this.. this is a real legend.... !!!
El fatiha for Muhammad Ali, The Greatest.
It's so amazing how Mike has done a 180 from the person he used to be. Just by the way he spoke about Larry ; you can see the change. He didn't want to belittle or be disrespectful in anyway.
This man is full of emotion I can feel it when he talks. The funny part is when you close you’re eyes and listen to his voice you never expect him to be a ferocious killing machine in the ring. Yet he became so humble as he has learn to deal with his emotions… The greatest battle he ever fought was against himself, and he won…
Iron Mike Tyson ladies and gentlemen, at his prime the greatest boxer.
his life is amazing.. he is also proof that therapy CAN help people.. it may have taken many years but mike has turned into an amazing person. i could sit down for hours and listen to his stories!
If there was ever a time to put subtitles in Conan's UA-cam videos, this would be it.

+Shadownet Spy English isn't my native language either, and I understood everything loud and clear.

+Shadownet Spy Yeah, that happens when they use a lot of slang.
+Shadownet Spy English isn't a native language it's an indoeuropean language are you an Iriquois?
R.I.P Ali . You're the king of boxing for ever.
Man, this is so admirable. Absolute legend! Long live, Mike!

I really wanna say one things in this day ......can we all respect each other in the comment section ...Muslim Christian or Jews ...white black or Asian ...can we all share love and not hate ....just for one freaking day ...rip Ali you live and die as the greatest king of kings rest in peace brother
mike is one of the most genuine people in this world.
This is not the same man from the 80s, calmed down so much.
RIP champ :'(
Truly 2 of the greatest boxers of all time!
This is amazing, great spirits in these men. Great story.
Ain't no filters with Mike, honest as they come.

Mike Tyson misses cus 'd Amato he truly appreciate and loves him he made him and put him in a better place than what he was in....what a blessing , imagine we wouldn't have a Mike Tyson a phenomenal spectacular human being like the Phoenix From the Ashes rises above from rags to riches and from riches to rags Mike Tyson is unique iconic legendary unlike no other he's the Bruce Lee and boxing. THE BADEST MAN ON THE PLANET EARTH!!!! BOW DOWN!!! TO THE KING OF KINGS OF BOXING.
ali and tyson my 2 all time favs. his lisping is so cute. keep it strong champ. almighty is with you
I will love to meet Mike in person he seems like a real genuine person. Mike is legendary.
Mike is awesome
I'm not black but I believe in equality and Mohammed Ali way very passion for that too. Great role mode in that aspect for black men and women.
May Allah have mercy on your soul.
One of the greatest story's to ever hear, and it involves two greats!
Tyson has become so gentle and humble since he retired from his boxing days. You can tell he looks back with a little bit of regret and sees how much emotion was behind the win but how guilty he felt cause he feels the fight wasn't exactly fair.
R.I.P Muhammad Ali :( (The greatest boxer to ever live in my eyes)
FLOYD VS MCGREEGOR!!!!!!! LOL
"yes i could do that yes" lmao at the end understatement
To sit there and admit you were lucky to beat someone because they were out of their prime is not only a humble thing to do but also a respectable thing to do. I've watched so.many interview of this guy and beside the fact that he is a fighting machine he is also a very humane and down to earth person.
I could listen to Tyson tell stories all day...
I liked his phone call with canibus
+hector gonzalez your main objective is to do nothing but eat, eat, eat MCs for breakfast
RIP 😢
Ali and mike Tyson two of the greatest athletes to grace the planet.
Mike was humble to say Holmes was old that time n i was lucky to win the match. great respect to u Mike..
The greatest of all time, will always love Mike.
Can people get over his lisp already? How long will this go on? Not funny anymore.
Listen to what he's saying instead of what he sounds like.
+DaLeadBull I still find it kinda funny that the former baddest man on the planet has a lisp. Just not what you would expect. Anyway, yeah, it's kind of annoying people talking about his lisp, but you could also just ignore the comments section when they are annoying, which.... is.... basically all the time.
+DaLeadBull i find it funny when people make jokes about it, but when im by myself i am listening to him intently. he is very interesting. kinda fucked up controversial things in his younger year, but still interesting speaker.
💯💯
I read this with a lisp... But yea when mike speaks, attention is a given
I don't even notice it anymore. He always has something interesting to say. People that focus on his lisp lose out on his message.
respect for conan for understanding wth tyson's sayin and conducting a decent interview here
Can't you understand him? Oo
Towards end, young Mike Tyson emerges for moment. I don't know if anyone else can see it but I see the loving apprecation of Tyson's mentor, a respect for the art of boxing as a student, a reverence for the fragility regarding the life of gladiators, and then unquestionably there's the rottweiler ferocity Tyson tapped into allowing him to become one of sports most enigmatic troubled champions. A humble yet focused Mike Tyson... fury incarnate.
“Yes yes I can do that yes” 😂
Anyone else get real scared for a second when Conan said to Mike, "You creep."
Soo humble, he said "I was lucky".. that shows how much respect he has for other fighters. Holmes was a good boxer. Sometimes u just hate someone just because they win against ur hero. It took alot of courage to type Holmes was a good boxer, imagine how Tyson could say it on air soo easily.
This was only like 5 months before Ali died, rip Ali you were the best and forever will be known as a legend ❤️❤️
If you look at, he also defeated Trevor Berbick who also defeated Ali as well....
Trakouri Jackson Berbick beat ali when he was sick, tyson beat berbick as payback for ali
I know he beat him as payback, thats what I was trying to say......
this is good stuff!
Mike has a heart of gold
Every time I watch Mike in an interview, I pray the interviewers be good to him cos I can't see them making Mike uncomfortable.
i LOVE ALI AND TYSONS BOND
So humble!
This might be the one and only time I'm actually glad that Conan repeats what the guest just said.
Ali: “Aiight Mike go get this SOB”
Mike: “yessir I can do that sir, yes”
Lmaoo
