It's a bit weird that Haaland isn't in there, though. With all due to respect to Mane, who was undoubtedly one of the best players in the world *while at Liverpool*, I think his subsequent seasons with Bayern and even Al-Nassr have shown that he benefited massively from Liverpool's hyper-attacking system, which was almost custom-built for the inside forwards. When you compare him with people like Agüero, who I think we can all agree is one of the best strikers in Premier League history, and Haaland, who casually breaks records left, right, and centre, he just doesn't hold his own. I think for the combined XI, they should've just gone with a Klopp-style front 3, with Salah and Agüero being inside forwards and Haaland in the middle.
Also, Bernardo not being in this team feels off. Pep Guardiola is the best manager I’ve seen in football. There’s a reason he’s never been sacked. He’s won everything there is to win multiple times, he plays scintillating football, he’s a relentless winner. Though I’ve never supported any of his teams but I’ve great admiration for the football his teams produce.

Fair play, this LFC fan is a decent lad. Mach from Redmen is always a good LFC fan because of him just being so measured and fair, so other LFC fans got a bar to beat, but this guy did well fair play to him. Look at Buvey being all serious for once and not trying to wind everyone up by saying Joe Hart was better than Alisson.
The toughest choice to be made was always going to be between Pep/Klopp. Theres nothing to separate them really. But I agree..for that XI, Pep would get the most out of them. He would absolutely rule the league with that XI, no doubt. (Just a thought) Can Pep go invincible with that XI though??
I personally think Klopp is a better manager than Guardiola, as much as i hate Liverpool they've done well the last 6-7 years and barely spending any money. Guardiola had one of, if not the best team in the history of football with barca (who have been accused of bribing refs) didn't win the CL with Bayern. Yes he's dominated the league with City recently but they do have 115 FFP charges against them
Liverpool have spent over £800M since Klopps 1st full season (16/17). In what world is that "barely spending any money". They haven't spent as much as city, but it's not like they are some mid table championship side with their spending.
accused and proven innocent, so stop being biased because he clapped United in 2 Ucl finals. Better manager is the one that win the most, that innovates the most that adapts the most. Pep changed his football, Klopp is unable to play anything than hard rock. Pep is the reason for the best team in the history, he did not has had it. He assembled it and made it that way.
Comparing Klopp and Pep isn't appropriate now. I'd love to see Klopp in the club with no financial troubles and Pep managing clubs that undergo crisis like Mainz, Dortmund, and Liverpool did in the past. Provided that is the case, I can surely predict that Klopp > Pep
I'm going Allison in goal, Robertson left back just because Cancelo was at City for so little time, Van Dijk Kompany and Walker to complete the back line, midfield has to be De Bruyne, Rodri, and probably Bernardo Silva though I'm torn over David Silva. Front three for me has to be Mane, Aguero, and Salah
B. Silva > D. Silva. During Pep Guardiola's era, Bernardo has surpassed David significantly. He boasts the record for the most games played under Guardiola, has clinched multiple Premier League titles, secured a Champions League victory, and even earned a place in the top 10 for the Ballon d'Or on two occasions. There is no debate
Lots of people are very dismissive of Trent, with the right midfield cover you can't leave him out. Go fernandino and rodri to give cover, Trent and KDB would rinse everyone on transition
Bobby Firmino not getting a mention is a disgrace. I get it that he wasn't as good of a goalscorer as Haaland or Aguero but if you think about it, even Pep would've played Firmino over Aguero in his system.
pep was literally in tears when Aguero left, he has the best mins per goal ratio in the history of the league and has scored the most goals against the big six in the history of the league, to say that he would rather have Firmino is ridiculous
Sterling not even getting a shout is actually crazy.. a player with over 200 goal contributions in the premier league, played for both clubs and was super influential for both, reaching a world class level at City, adapting to a whole new system and way of playing. In terms of longevity and consistency, there's no better LW in the Klopp/Pep era
and sterling had a chance at staying at liverpool and pep couldent off thought that much off him consid ring he was still in his peak years. so no he isnt
Honestly the addition of a 3rd person is too much.. the whole idea of this was to get two people to admit to one player even if they're like.. no way.. it's made it too decisive ..Imo
If you're all about winning trophies, it's Pep, no doubt about it. But if you're all about the thrill of the game, Klopp massively outranks EVERYBODY. All those comebacks, the spectacular football, the near-heartattacks, all the motivation, getting players to give 120%, lifting players from the unknown to world class, to headlines. Getting a whole city (+millions of fans abroad) from doubters to believers. All that passion! It's Klopp for me 100 times out of a 100.
Pep is THE GOAT..The man is a genius in his own sphere..Man has revolutionized football and still continues to do so..He took the basis of Cruyff's Tiki-Taka and made it so devastating and beautiful that the whole world are copying him..
What kind of true City fan wouldn’t name David Silva - el mago - in any combined 11 involving Man City PL players🤦🏻? He is first name in any list , pure class
The entire Pep vs Klopp argument comes down to this. Yes there is a major difference in money. But it can’t be ignored. Pep is an amazing tactician, the greatest manager of all time probably, but Pep goes to a dominant team with money and gets success. What Klopp has done not just with less money but his ability to transform clubs is what sets him apart. Barca, Munich, were massive before Pep and after. City was successful before Pep but obviously he brought even more. But City will continue to be dominant long after he leaves unless they get punished by the FA (they do have 115 charges pending)….What Klopp did at Mainz long term is built a successful academy, built a great managerial program and yes he got relegated but Mainz should be a team in the second division anyways. And they aren’t.. people forget or don’t realize that he literally saved Dortmund who were on the brink of bankruptcy and won trophies and while LFC were massive before Klopp, as a LFC fan, since day 1 the club feels completely different under him then Previous managers. In the end Pep brings success through spending and brining in amazing players. Klopp brings success by transforming the entire club. End of debate.
Pretty much agree with this list. However, would personally go for ruben dias and Haaland over Kompany and Aguero respectively. I feel like, they were towards the tail end of their career under pep and some of it does come from nostalgia bias. Like Haaland has literally broken the permier league goal scoring record in his first season, won a treble and is also doing well this season. It is more than likely that he will surpass agueros legacy at city in the coming years .
Brilliant team.! Honestly the best 11 and sensible people having good conversation.. Absolutely loved it. I do get it why no 9 Augero or Haland but Firmino is surely underrated. He has won it all, done is all and kept those 2 on top together (Salah Mane), without Firmino it was impossible for Klopp to do “Gegan press”

Raheem Sterling not being considered is a joke, but all in all FAIR arguments, good XI. 🙌
I did think of him myself, as someone who you could possibly get in there…but ultimately I’d go with Mane
No no it’s not, the joke was saying Allison the best of all time premier league
@TP-pq9xx Considering he was probably the best winger in the world at one time, of course he would.
@@MartialFitness656 peter cech is the greatest and its not a debate at all

Glad you invited Niamh, very inciteful...
i just don't get football fans. they are saying that trent isn't n.1 rb in the world because he can't defend, but Roberto Carlos couldn't defend as well
Carlos wasn’t a better left back than Maldini or Ashley Cole
Ederson is underrated
Fair play, this LFC fan is a decent lad. Mach from Redmen is always a good LFC fan because of him just being so measured and fair, so other LFC fans got a bar to beat, but this guy did well fair play to him. Look at Buvey being all serious for once and not trying to wind everyone up by saying Joe Hart was better than Alisson.
Buvey conceded the GK just to have a sly dig at schmeichel 😭😭
The toughest choice to be made was always going to be between Pep/Klopp. Theres nothing to separate them really. But I agree..for that XI, Pep would get the most out of them. He would absolutely rule the league with that XI, no doubt.
(Just a thought) Can Pep go invincible with that XI though??
I mean klopp nearly went invincible with a lesser squad so most likely
I just thought imagine if Man city signed Van dijk instead of Liverpool Man city would have been unbeatable tbh
did he just say "David silva didn't have the ability to win the Champions league"?
I think he meant ability as in opportunity
@@joesid3153He better have.

First time I have ever actually fully agreed with the pundits
Comparing Klopp and Pep isn't appropriate now. I'd love to see Klopp in the club with no financial troubles and Pep managing clubs that undergo crisis like Mainz, Dortmund, and Liverpool did in the past. Provided that is the case, I can surely predict that Klopp > Pep
This is the most honest Buvey I've ever seen
While I agree B.Silva is better, he isn’t ‘significantly’ above D.Silva
considering only the time playing under Pep Guardiola, yes I would say significantly better@@roronoalaw7772

Bobby Firmino not getting a mention is a disgrace. I get it that he wasn't as good of a goalscorer as Haaland or Aguero but if you think about it, even Pep would've played Firmino over Aguero in his system.
Facts mate unsung Liverpool hero 👏🏽
pep was literally in tears when Aguero left, he has the best mins per goal ratio in the history of the league and has scored the most goals against the big six in the history of the league, to say that he would rather have Firmino is ridiculous

But didn’t both teams only go on to win the champions league after selling him?
and sterling had a chance at staying at liverpool and pep couldent off thought that much off him consid ring he was still in his peak years. so no he isnt

Honestly the addition of a 3rd person is too much.. the whole idea of this was to get two people to admit to one player even if they're like.. no way.. it's made it too decisive ..Imo
It’s a shame that sterling isn’t in the conversation
If you're all about winning trophies, it's Pep, no doubt about it.
But if you're all about the thrill of the game, Klopp massively outranks EVERYBODY. All those comebacks, the spectacular football, the near-heartattacks, all the motivation, getting players to give 120%, lifting players from the unknown to world class, to headlines. Getting a whole city (+millions of fans abroad) from doubters to believers. All that passion! It's Klopp for me 100 times out of a 100.

What kind of true City fan wouldn’t name David Silva - el mago - in any combined 11 involving Man City PL players🤦🏻? He is first name in any list , pure class
That team will tear through any team in history, even prime real madrid, barca, ac milan, and bayern
Firmino not even mentioned is a crime.
Not really, considering he's up against Agüero.
Klopp also has the superior record head to head...
Exactly upcoming years, right now Aguero has a better legacy also Salah and mane are goal scoring wingers so Aguero suits them better
the fact that there was any debate over David Silva being in there is honestly crazy. Good end point though!
