Always great content Steven, you should be so proud! As a Man U supporter and admirer of risk taking individuals, it would be great to have a chat with you over dinner in Sydney when you come to Australia. Keep up the great interviews, I’ll be watching.
Thanks Steven. I'm a Chelsea fan and a Lampard fan and really looking forward to watching this. I just need to finish processing the Deli Ali interview first!
I'm a ManU fan. This message is the essence of belonging to a team! We'll call Frank a legend because that's as far as our vocab goes, but it doesn't go far enough to describe this man.
Hi Stephen. Great interview, a true gent. On a personal note - Frank actually had a massive impact on my life. I was undergoing major surgeries at 27 years old to repair a ruptured achilles which suffered several setbacks and further surgeries. Unbeknownst to me, my dear Mother wrote to Chelsea whilst I was in hospital for my 4th surgery in 5 months. I received a letter in the post that same month, and a signed photograph from Frank himself, wishing me well and telling me to keep strong. It was just before Chelsea faced City in the league, during Frank's first tenure as the manager. I had almost given up on the thought of walking normally ever again, letalone playing football. But that letter really inspired me to try my best and to never give in. Proud to say I am walking (almost) normally and have managed to partake in some 6 a side walking foltball. That letter and photograph I have framed on my wall. Thank you Frank, and all the best in all you choose to do.
115 minutes seem to be so little when you listen to Frank. My childhood idol and a man that gave me so many moments of sheer happiness. Frank, you are an absolute legend, and more importantly, a really really good person. Thank you to Frank and to Steven for this beautiful interview 💙
You came to be our manager twice, when we were in difficult seasons. You take responsibilities and do what the best, just sadly the results are not what we wished. But we will always thank you for everything. You are our legend. You are truly one of us 💙
Why was he about to tear up when he said that he was not working and saying he realised he should enjoy it. Reading body language and it’s an interesting one
Thank you so much for that interview, Frank is my hero and my male role model. My father is a die-hard Chelsea fan and has just recovered from his alcohol addiction and I showed him this and for myself the power of hard work, grit and staying true to one's goals. Thank you very much, Steven.
Thank you Steven what you do is really important, I have been watching you since I left working at Lovehoney during lockdown I got run over By a bouncer in a Night club in Bath and then worked at Lovehoney for 3 years. I was Disabled and lost full use of my left arm all because I was dancing with girls and I got picked out of the crowd and ran over behind the club. (I am Dyslexic) I have had major mental health and physical and mental trauma to get over. I'm 30 now and Just finish a year doing Environmental Science in Bristol college to get me to Uni. Higher education course whilst dealing and having to put my dear father through detox, however after 12 years out of education, I have achieved my grades to go to uni. After being an events manager for 5-6 years prior.(Before covid) I have sacrificed myself for everything I have cared about. You may or might not have heard of Roots allotments in Bristol and Bath but during my time working night shifts and day shifts before starting my environmental science qualification I worked and built the 1.0 ground zero site. After applying this work ethic I am now hoping I get my grade that I am sure I will... As I got a distinction in my extended project and my essay on sustainable futures my degree in Bath in Global Development and sustainability may hear more about it. I wish you all the best and thank you to all of us that need that extra push. Gentlemen may not always finish first to start with but may finish when all is done. I am from an Irish and Welsh heritage and your journey is inspiring. I hope to change the world of those that are less off than myself at this stage even and bridge the gap for societies through innovation strategy culture and understanding. One day we will shake hands.
I was touched by Frank's description of the immensity of the loss of his mother. I'm a guy, and I lost my mum when I was 24 (and she also was a hairdresser). There's nothing like a man's loss of his mother, and it's indescribable, really. But Frank conveyed the depth and complexity of it as best as anybody could.
@aliasad9816 so what is your beef? First of all, based on your own biography, you have no qualifications for to judge or even relate, and be able to offer anything useful to this. You were only little more than a baby yourself when your mother died. So you are not someone who has been adult when losing their mother. And most individuals don't remember anything when they were 3, anyway. I'll respond to your irrelevant, illogical, and ignorant comments no further.
What an amazing interview. You have such great skill of humanising legendary beings that have walked amongst us. Frank’s work ethic in English football is unparalleled. He became one of the greatest simple because of his work ethic. Not much talent but relentless work. A true Chelsea Legend. He so described it really well. Losing a mother who is very close to you is such a revealing of emotional nakedness. A feeling that stays with you till your last. Love that you never felt before just cease to exist.
@@Smithylfc9999 bruh he's an elite human. He's in the top tier of the 1% that make it as a footballer and his name will live on when he dies. I reckon it's fair to call him legendary
The raw emotion visible on Franks face when talking about his mother passing away. At last, someone that relates. This episode really hit home, especially this part. I lost my mother suddenly over 1.5 years ago at the age of 31 and can relate to everything frank went through. The auto pilot, the relentlessness afterwards but that aspect of a part of you leaving. Thank you to Frank for speaking so openly about this as only other people that have lost someone so close to them can truly understand how it feels. And it’s true, this grief right here, never leaves you. But you learn to live with it.
I lost my mum 3 years ago, I was 37 and she was 61 and I can totally relate to what Frank was saying. Brought a tear to my eye as it brought back feelings and emotions and the things you want to forget. I know exactly what he means by zombie and that a part of you will never be the same. Frank did a great job of explaining, thanks.
Not a Chelsea fan but i do remember him being decent enough to guide them to the top 4 in PL when the club was in crisis he may not have been a great manager but has always loved Chelsea from the bottom of his heart I do hope he does well in whatever he wants to be!
I lost my mum at 37 and the bottom fell out of my world. I cant imagine the weight of expectation of being a high profile sports star and trying to deal with grief at the same time. He seems such a genuine human.
Such a humble guy with a legendary football legacy at Chelsea. I could relate to the point where Frank said he'd often be struck with grief when people around would often talk about their mothers. I'm no footballer or a genius of any sort but I did lose my mom when I was 14. I'm 29 now and I still grapple with the grief of losing her everyday. Thanks for sharing that, Frank. It was quite emotional. Also, I'm a Manchester United fan but massive respect from all the rival fans as well. Phenomenal job, Steve. You've just made my day with this interview with Frank! ❤
Man, Frank speaks so well. I get drawn into everything he says. As an Evertonian I'm gutted it didn't work out for him at Goodison as he's such a likeable guy. Thanks for having him on. I'm only 24 minutes into this and it's already such a brilliant interview.
@@jtefc Oh yeah, absolutely the worst manager we've ever had in terms of what you've mentioned. Results are everything. Would love a pint with him though haha!
Hmmmm I felt he did us a bit dirty here. I'm not a full on Everton da but he was talking about the expectation being that we only win 35-40% of our games. He's part of the reason that expectation has permeated when it should be much higher, which it was even in our recent past.
This is such a brilliant interview: honest, thought provoking, human, and from the heart. Touching at times too. A lot of respect to Frank Lampard from a Newcastle fan: he was a top player and always comes across as a top guy. He deserves success as a manager and am looking forward to seeing him bounce back soon into the next job.
Already clicked like before I even started to watch - Steven getting an absolute Chelsea legend on the show makes my day. Pity it didn't quite work out as a manager for Frank, but will always be among the club greats from a player perspective - also one of the nicest guys in football, was lucky enough to meet him to sign my Chelsea shirt in South Africa during the 2010 world cup just before England played Algeria in Cape Town.
it's not too late, it can work out, the likes of Moyes didn't start high, most managers don't they earned their spurs through sweat and pain of defeat and some highs. He has been lucky to have had big opportunities that unfortunately didn't work out, he can head to the championship and rebuild from there, League one if need be, build a team in his image, learn to defend like Eddie Howe went to do, and in no time he'll be on the up again. He has contacts with Chelsea and city so he can get players on loan. It'll take some humbling and humility but if he wants to make it he has to restart. Gerrard should've probably done the same instead of going to Saudi but who knows, it may end up working. It'll be good to see the two of them compete as managers in the prem in the future
As a Chelsea fan since childhood, Frank is my absolute hero, it truly pained me everytime he wouldn’t get the results he wanted as a manager. But I hope he knows he is forever engraved as a legend of the game and that he took some of the most difficult jobs in football solely because of his sense of duty and responsibility. Much respect and admiration from me and most importantly, thank you DOAC, for conducting this interview, you’ve earned yourselves a new subscriber.
One of the best players of his generation, he was constantly battling it out for domestic and international trophies throughout his career and he deserves a lot of respect. I'm not a Chelsea fan, but I've always liked Frank for his attitude and determination on the field, not to mention his goal scoring ability, which, for a midfield player was second to none. To then hear from him about his early years, his struggles, basically what made him into the man he is today was interesting and educating. There's always this unknown about football players, that us football fans don't really get to see, the hidden struggles, that we can't see on a Saturday or Sunday... Wishing you all the best Frank for your future! A really great episode, kudos Steven!
As an Evertonian, I absolutely love the man and all he tried to do for the club. He bought in, went balls deep into what the club is about and gave us an identity for a brief period. Club is toxic - rotten to the core - for the last few years, and it was a serious task he took on. Nothing but love from this Everton fan, anyway.
He wasn't but he could be a great manager, no doubt, we had a glimpse of it when hazard left & frank only manage a squad from the academy & manage to finish top 4 to qualify to CL start with frank & ended up winning the CL under tuchel, with an attacking attitude team, that scares even prime klopp liverpool at the time, frank need to manage an underdog team first before manage big clubs, big clubs pressure is high & a lot of interference from the board & big headed players.
Bro, he was pish. He almost got you relegated. Sure , let’s give sympathy about his outside of work family issues. But just because we feel sorry for someone who has lost a relative, let’s not start lying about stuff. He was terrible at your club like I said almost got you relegated infact if you didn’t sack him you would be in the championship now. Be real pal
He’s out of his depth managing at premier league level. I respect what he tried to do at everton but he’s not good enough right now to be successful at that level.
Agree 100% ... Loved having Frank as our manager ... seeing his celebrations with us at the end of that Palace game will always be an Everton highlight for me ...
@@leonleon2276 Well aware he was out of his depth completely. Basically, I loved what he stood for and what he tried to do at the club. I had some of the best times of my life at the end of the 21/22 season - even though we were absolute dirt - because of the connection he forged with the fans. 100% we'd have been down had those scrotes on the board kept him on last season, absolutely, but what I was trying to say was, I never wanted a manager - or anyone, really - to do well for us more than I did Lampard. I know a lot of fans who feel the same way and won't speak ill of him. When Periera was being mooted to replace that Benitez lad, we all kicked off and wanted Lampard.
The story of his mother will really make me appreciate life and the people around me more. Frank is a legend of the sport and I'm not afraid of saying this even as a Spurs fan. I have the outmost respect for him.
The way he spoke about his mom just touched me so much. It is really powerful part of the chatter. He showed how strong and peacefull he is. He overcame it and took it like a true hero. I am taking my hat off before Frank😢
One of the best of all time for me, I feel he’s underrated when I see debates on him compared to others, maybe because he doesn’t play for Man Utd or Liverpool. If a midfielder scores 20 goals in 1 season it would grab an incredible amount of attention and praise. I think since Lampard consistently did it for 10 seasons, people were desensitised to it and expected it. A Ronaldinho away from a ballon d'orm for a reason and a class act off the pitch. Highest respect for this legend
@@mattyjames7922 considering I see a lot of people downplaying his other abilities and call him just a goalscorer and also he’s been dismissed a lot in premier league all time 11s
@@mattyjames7922 Maybe not by the generations who actually watched him but his reputation is slowly getting tainted by the fact that people only value aesthetics in modern football.
He’s above Gerrard for me and I support Liverpool. The sheer amount of goals he scored was unbelievable. Gerrard’s an arrogant prick. Never forgotten that bar incident either.
Will forever love this man. He took charge when we were at our worst twice and didn't mind taking the blame while management sorted out the mess behind the scenes. I'm not even 15 mins in and I already love this. True Chelsea Legend right here! 💙
It’s weird to see that our idols are just as human as us. Sometimes we forget they are people and go through the same feeling and pain as all the rest of us. Lamps speaking about his mother just made me realise that I went through the same emotions when my mother died. My mom was only 41 younger than Frank is now. Cherish your loved ones as you never know how long you have with them. Everything else is secondary.
Massive respect for Frank. He never hides and more importantly, he stands up in the tough times. Both his stints as manager were much needed and chelsea was an absolute mess. Good luck for the future champ.
Lamps would be a great coach at Brighton, Newcastle, Dortmond, and Monaco. He needs teams that have youth and players that are willing to fight for the team. I even think he would do well with the current players at Chelsea.
Interviews like this are so important, we never get to know our hero's enough and these personal interviews give us so much insight and so much understanding into why players were a certain way during particular periods of their lives. I feel like I understand Frank so much more now and this happens with current Chelsea players too where we get their personal interviews and we remember that they are humans too.
Who cares? Everyone's got personal problems. Lampard doesn't need any sympathy, especially as a multi millionaire. He was a crap manager, plain and simple and now he wants us to feel sorry for him for that 😂
@zzzzzzzzz4313 Lol you have some insecurities that need to be looked into. Contact a therapist they can help with those demons that create hate, jealousy and lack of empathy.
@@philmitchell91 wow, that is the first time that looser on the internet who is probably sleeping under the bridge comes with a saying that people with money shouldn't feel bad about something. Please show me that you are a poor loser without money and ambition without even saying it, and everyone knows! You must change your perception of the world and money and drop that victim's attitude because it won't help you get anywhere.
When you lose someone you love it's a huge heartache. Doesn't matter if you are a rich footballer we are all human. This reminded me of how I felt when I lost my father. Going to work was just so difficult and the grief is real.
Disclaimer: Liverpool supporter I’ve always known that he was an intelligent man, and this interview has solidified that view. Both interviewer and interviewee talked so well, and there was a real pleasure listening to this conversation. Anyone who has lost a parent will empathise wholly with Frank, and I wish him the best.
Succeed ? He is awful and if he wasn’t a great player wouldn’t keep getting these good jobs. I would imagine that no club will employ him now as supporters would be against it. A middle championship team possibly but unlikely
First time watching this podcast, I must say I really enjoyed it. As a Chelsea fan Frank has always been a legend and now hearing him talk about his personal experiences and life it just makes me respect him more as a human being. Great interview and I’ve definitely subscribed to the channel 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
a very intelligent, empathetic and compassionate man and very few former managers do it but giving us a great insight to what its like being a manager behind closed doors without resorted to cliches. The FA are missing a trick here not bringing Frank into their U18 and U21 set ups
When I listen to Frank talk about his mom I am so moved. He is truly genuine and heartfelt. I am here now, suffering unthinkable pain from a medical surgery. I can’t do much. Can’t move well and don’t have much energy. And my mom is here for everything. I know how lucky I am and what it means to me. We have all lost important people to us but this week has made me realize how much we neee to cherish what’s here, now. I am so grateful to have her. And I relate so much to franks emotions and pain in that time.
I remember when Lamps lost his mum and played Liverpool in the champions league soon after. Lots of respect for him at the time as a Liverpool fan, it must been hard for him and he played a great game too!
I lost my best friend right around the same time FL8 lost his mum. But seeing him recover and do wonders for Chelsea in that period helped me aim high in life as well. And I did alright. Sadly never until today did I get to hear what he went through. Such an inspiration. Here in India a million boys my age look up to you as a hero. Thank you for your work ethic, long range goals and your sacrifices SuperFrank.
Obviously here because of Frank, but just wanted to say what a world class podcast/interview that was! A really well constructed personal conversation, and Frank looked so at ease talking about some really emotional experiences with you. Frank will always be a Chelsea legend, and although results didn’t go our way last season, I think any fans with common sense can understand the circumstances and lack of mentality from these players and Frank had an impossible task on his hands. Not even Alex Ferguson would have got that lot performing. Good luck with your journey Frank! 🙌
Thanks for everything Frankie! You’re absolutely the greatest Chelsea legend ever. It takes lot of courage and love for the team to come back in the situation you did last season, working with an oversized squad, woefully unfit and untrained players.
Lost my mum 18 months ago , she died while being prepared to go into ICU suddenly , I was 26 and the 12 months following were honestly the worst I’ve ever had , everything Frank has said describe my experience perfectly
There are very few moment in football that I literally cried. The most I can remember when Frank scored the penalty in 2nd leg UCL against Liverpool and he tribute the goal for his mother that just passed away recently at that time. I lost my mom too 2 years ago and this really hit me again. It’s never easy losing the person you look up the most in your family. I feel ya Frank :(
What an upstanding, solid, man's man, _Lampard_ is. That saying: _"Jump and the net will appear..."_ Truly touched my soul. *Thank you* for this unexpected, _insightful_ interview.
As someone who stumbled across your channel for the first time randomly, certainly helped by the fact that your guest is an absolute legend, it was not only such an incredible experience to see such a personal side of Frank, but your direction of the conversations was very intelligent and thoroughly entertaining. I look forward to becoming more familiar with your posts, and, of course, seeing where the Career of Frank goes from here.
Very honest interview , Hard questions answered from the heart , a proper young boy who experienced horrible abuse at the hammers. Worked hard at his game, a dad who is a legend at west ham, worked bloody hard, experienced a great education! A raised my brows when lamps signed for £11m the rest as they say is History. ❤ ❤ We true old timers have seen the legends of the 60s 70s 80s 90 00 11 21 😅 Lamps came because Chelsea is where is ❤ is. I am an Arsenal fan but I always felt Frank Lampard was a great guy. His goal scoring record for a midfielder is unbelievable. We do share something in common with regard to overthinking, but I wish I shared his football ability😐
Great guy. Very human, honest and someone that commits 100% to a job. And also brave of his Dad to risk making himself unpopular to help Frank become the man he is today. My admiration for FL has grown.
Good interview. I've always liked him. Probably my favourite opposition player in the premier league. I was really pleased he became our manager at Everton as he united a broken club. It was a real shame it didn't work out. Hope he goes on to greater success 💙
in tears listening to the part about franks Mum, I lost my mum in my thirties in a similar way and the way he explains it is spot on, it never goes away, its always a struggle
Same here, but it feels really nice listening to him talk about it. It's tiring trying to run away from the fact she's no longer there every single day. It's easier to go through the pain again in your mind here and there. I wish you the best, my friend. Lets hope thats the worst life has thrown at us.
Was a fantastic interview and wanted to comment but wasn't really sure what to say. Love Frank, being a Chelsea fan for the last 40 years, and really appreciate how open and humble he is. But the biggest compliment I can give came about when he spoke about his daughters at the end. Frank if my kids grow up to be anything like you and the way you conduct yourself I will be the proudest dad in the world. Good luck in the future and hope you have the managerial career you deserve. And with any luck my kids will be taking me to the Bridge in the future when you're our manager again. 💙
I loved Frank as a player and when he came to Everton I was on cloud 9… it didn’t work out in the end but he gave me and my club it’s identity back.. All the best Super Frank🤝💙👍
Everton fan here. Nothing but love and respect for this man. He's class. Desperately wanted him to succeed not just for our club but for his namesake. He came into our club and became a true, bleed-blue coach and fan. I know he wasn't the best manager by any means, but you can feel his love for the club and frustration behind each loss or short-coming. Sincerely wish him nothing but the best in all his future endeavors. I will always be a fan.
Had the pleasure of meeting my idol frank the day after we won the champions league in 2021 at the goat in chelsea. Me any my friend were only going down fulham road for celebrations (their were none) we took the wrong turn and ended up seeing him across the road at the goat in chelsea. Couldn’t believe it. They say don’t meet your idols, boy could they be more wrong! Thanks Super Frank - incredible episode, could listen to this man speak for hours!
What a great interview. You are a class act Frank. Forget the football side what shines through is your a humble, classy human being. A touching interview.
I thought the host looked very familiar, later realised, he is from the dragons den! Very good interview/hosting skill, probably one of the best interview someone took off of Frank.
Great interview. It was good to get that insight of what was going on at Chelsea. For a club to be successful at the highest level it has to function from top to bottom. Lampard will always be a legend at Chelsea.
A lot of people have written him off as a manager but I hope he succeeds. Such a likeable humble intelligent and conscientious guy football needs people with integrity like Frank
Great watch, really insightful, provided a different view of Frank that isn't just about football. This was interesting to learn more about Frank, the human. As always, well done Steven!
What an absolute lovely fella, he didnt have a negative thing to say about anyone or anything, very humble guy, Im a lifelong LFC fan, but I do have major respect for Frank x I think Everton were very wrong to let him go. I really do see great things ahead for Frank. wishing him all the best for his future x
Franks explanation of his mom passing hits hard since I recently lost my mom. It's a feeling i wouldn't wish on any of you, but it has to happen unfortunately.. Whats worse is my mom passed away Christmas Day last year. I was horrified and I'm still suffering to this day, but i believe I'll see her again. Actually, I know I will. Stay strong everyone and god bless you.
It might only be 2 hour interview but I have a new understanding and appreciation of Frank as a person and not just a player or manager. Great interview.
I know Frank wont see this but I just want to thank him for being someone to admire when I was a kid growing up through that wonderful time at the club, I never really understood why an agreement was made to keep you for another couple of seasons i thought for everything you gave to the club you deserved have the chance to finish out your playing career there. You came back twice when the club wanted you both under very difficult circumstances and it would have been easier to say no especially after tye first season at Derby but you came to our rescue twice. Your the ideal role model for young players good ethics not only on the pitch but off it too. Always be a true blue and I hope you get your chance at a club that will give you the time to prove what we can see is there especially from his first run in the chelsea job but just needs time to prefect it.
I know very little about football, and barely know who Frank is BUT hearing you speak about your mother's death is putting into words my experience losing my mum that I haven't ever been able to articulate. Incredible interview, thank you.
Fantastic interview and love the way Steven allows the speaker to give a chance to fully express the question. Regardless of being a great footballer and coach, Lampard is a world class human being. His mother’s death story was touching and was real help for me, and many I’m sure, who have to deal with grief.
This must be one of the best interviews, he is such a legend 👏 I can't wait to see him action again. Makes us understand they only human at the end of the day. Well done to this channel 👏
Always a legend. My favourite Chelsea player growing up. Good luck with whatever you decide to do next Lamps, us fans will always follow your career #KTBFFH
this is bound to be one of my all time favorite episodes - I remember being such a fan of his in my team following his playing career, and everything else sadly - it was a golden era but also a sad era at that time Frank is a legend no matter what - to me anyway
Fascinating insight into a gwnerally very private gentleman. With all the media scrum, shanter on social media and football chat you can forget just how well put togethor Frank is and always has been. A leader without having to say a word. Wish him luck in future management ventures and hope to see him back at the Bridge one day. ❤😊
I became a fan of Super Frank when he played for Chelsea, and my best memories as a Chelsea fan was that season when he came in as a manager and gave us so much youth talent. His work rate and determination has been an influence to me beyond just football. His lessons are great for anyone to take in how they approach business, and careers.
The first season we had Lamps as our manager is probably the closest I have felt to the club in the last 10 years. It was a truely special feeling, and I got really sad when we got rid of him, even though it was the right thing to do.
I grew up aspiring to be you whether that was watching you play football or just seeing how you conducted yourself and to still call you a role model in my life is something I still see to this day! You are legend Frank and and an inspiration to us all!
An amazing conversation! I was engrossed the entire time and Frank (even as a Chelsea fan) has some how grown in my estimations. A true gentleman and an absolutely solid all round guy! Legend in his own front room ,
I was touched by Frank's description of the immensity of the loss of his mother. I'm a guy, and I lost my mum when I was 24 (and she also was a hairdresser). There's nothing like a man's loss of his mother, and it's indescribable, really. But Frank conveyed the depth and complexity of it as best as anybody could.
I can't relate unfortunately
Dude I lost my father at the age of 3 you are 24 a grown-up boy
@@aliasad9816 Frank Lampard was 28. Is he a baby?
@@documax123 No He was an adult

Lost Mum at 21 5 yes tomorrow 💔

I’m absolutely breaking my heart listening to him talking about his mum. 💔 You’re a good man, Frank Lampard x
Man, Frank speaks so well. I get drawn into everything he says. As an Evertonian I'm gutted it didn't work out for him at Goodison as he's such a likeable guy. Thanks for having him on. I'm only 24 minutes into this and it's already such a brilliant interview.
Nice fella but he was one of, if not, the worst manager we’ve ever had. Awful tactics, in game management and team selections
@@jtefc Oh yeah, absolutely the worst manager we've ever had in terms of what you've mentioned. Results are everything. Would love a pint with him though haha!
Lovely fella. Brilliant footballer. Terrible manager. In the Mike Walker/Rafa Benitez column in Everton’s history there.
It won’t work out for anyone at Everton it’s hard hard job
Same! He's Chels through and through.
Chelsea legend? Son he's a footballing legend. Him Scholes and Gerrard are up there with the likes of Ronaldino, Shearer, Bobby Moore, R9 etc.
it's not too late, it can work out, the likes of Moyes didn't start high, most managers don't they earned their spurs through sweat and pain of defeat and some highs.
Good stuff bro
As a long time Liverpool fan Frank is probably the player I respected most outside of Liverpool and that has just quadrupled, what a legend 👍
Frank is a Legend. As a Chelsea fan, I was waiting for this conversation for a very long time. Thank you Steven
He should join Pep's coaching staff that will help him and shape his coaching skills.

Lampard definitely isn’t underrated. 😂
Goalscoring, defense, work rate, long ball, weak foot and tricky feet. He had it all.

Gerrard’s an arrogant prick. Never forgotten that bar incident either.

It’s weird to see that our idols are just as human as us. Sometimes we forget they are people and go through the same feeling and pain as all the rest of us. Lamps would be a great coach at Brighton, Newcastle, Dortmond, and Monaco. He needs teams that have youth and players that are willing to fight for the team.
I even think he would do well with the current players at Chelsea.

@@odikostarr we were struggling, but we were together. There was pride because of the amount of youngsters breaking through.

Any club would be lucky to have him as their Leader! And Well Done Steven, another interview expertly held. You let the guest speak which is rare in these podcast / interviews nowadays!
Really enjoying this, thank you Steven. I can't believe this content is free. Could you get Charlie Brooker on? I feel like he'd be absolutely fascinating.
