I watched a film about the two children taken from there parents all because they did things differently from the Swedish culture. The mother feed her baby with her hand, the social workers noted this as bad! This shocked me to my soul. It broke my heart how this women was treated in Sweden. She went back home and got her children back. There are refugees that have come from terrible situations, wars, family & there friends killed. There homes bombed. Yet they come to a safe country & this happens to them. This is heart breaking & absolutely wrong.

Swedish social services only take children if the parents severely mistreat their children. There's a hate campaign going on in Arabic media, that has been discussed extensively here in Sweden. As a social worker who works in Sweden, I can say that this needs more clarification since the system is quite different from other counties.
But from my own experience this type of things happen, and unfortunately I have seen what this can do to a family .

It's common that social "service" takes away children for very vague reasons, not only immigrant children. When you follow the stoies of these families, you realize that tthe social in sweeden is very corrupeted, they take children from their parents, give them to foster families that are getting paid for thisis service, basically a foster family is a job, and i heard also stories where the person taking care of some children are not older than 22yo, and in many cases the children got raped by those who are supposed to take care of them. That's without talking about the phisical and psychological torture they face from social workers and the police.

And you don't get a free pass around the law just cuz u don't know how the system work. I belive as many else does, that the parents should be informed about this yes. But the thing is that they already are in their own language just awhile after they arrive in Sweden. We can't just go around the law if someone claim that they didn't know something was illegal. That's how the law system works. Otherwise everyone would just be able to use it as a reason to be freed from crimes. Another thing is , the Sweden social service are kinda famous for not often stepping in when there's child abuse cases for example. It is very rare that they actually do something. For the case to be able to even pass to court they need to have VERY strong evidence. And in this case specifically the child has been abused. What difference does it make if they tell the parents about that what they did was wrong and illegal? The child has already been hurt. The damage has already been made. There's nothing they can do to change it. The child is clearly traumatized and never wants to meet their parent again. The child deserves a happy life away from the people that caused the damage. It doesn't help a single bit If the child is brought back to their parents. In this case legal custody was the best for the child. As the child itself has told. Not enough people giving up children or badly neglecting or abusing them and welfare money keeps people out of extreme poverty so they have to keep the fostering and/or adoption business booming by ripping apart families when it's not ethical. To be clear about this. The children are not ”kidnapped”, the reason they are taken away is because the parents have broken laws regarding childrens rights like beating the child up etc. They are not taken away either, you are allowed to visit your children at a childrens nursing home.

They took away my two daughters 3 years ago. I have so much pain everyday. If physical pain goes away, this doesnt. I love my children more than my life but they falsely accused and lied that I hurt them. I worked very hard to be successful in new country and my children were the best thing what happen to me in my life. They destroyed my happiness. The crimes I was accused were very awful worse than hitting, only worst people could do to their children. I am angry how the system so easily destroyed my family without proper investigation. @@NO1jkpg I would actually agree with you if the parents crossed the line of disciplining the child to causing bodily injury the authorities should intervene, but how many cases do you think fall under this category? If that is not the case, do you know how harrowing it can be for a child to be seperated from its parents like that? And in the former case, I would advocate for them to try and find someone the child is familiar with and place them there, instead of foster homes, who are likely to be total strangers.
Also, one should keep in mind that some children lie (maybe cause they couldn't have their way with someting or maybe just to mess with the parents).

Years ago social services took two children from a Russian father because he was working 8 hours per day. He was living in a small city in Sweden alone with his children.
