This is a great looking Audi, it will be very desirable when it’s repaired, well done Phil 😊.
Understandable concern but a great outcome. Looking forward to next installment.
Why do people comment before watching the video, the car runs great Phil, the only concern is the bent trailing arm and surrounding bodywork.
Understood your concerns Phil, but Lady Luck was with you again 👍 nice motor😎
Great result Phil 👍
Hi Phil you should try to get hold of a crash dolly lots of bodyshop tool suppliers make them they attach to the sill like the dozer brackets and have height adjustment like an axle stand so you can move around the car even if the rear axle is removed I have seen them from time to time on ebay
You got away with that one, really worried when you said about the exhaust and then the K&N filter.
You just need to pull that quarter panel out…..looks a bit too far gone for that. I suspect new quarter to get it right.
Cheers Phil.
Great video Phil 👌
Glad it's a runner. I was equally concerned when I saw the spark plugs box, fairly random. Everything else look like simple fixes.
Engine sounds tappety to me, but that may just be my phone making it sound that way. Anyway good luck with this one, the A1's are nice cars and hold value well.
Result that it started always a bit of a roll of the dice with these "no key" buys but this one sounds fine. Not too much to do but that rear quarter will take some fettling I would have thought!
I've done 2 Audi A1's. One was a loss and the other a profit. But I've seen a few channels that have struggled with A1's. Unless of course you are those 2 guys on You Tube who are allowed to visit Copart and see the cars in person and always seem to come out smelling of roses?
Anybody who has an account can go view cars at Copart been many times if you don’t go view that’s your choice but can’t complain if you get stung simple
Someone sounds a bit jealous 🤣🤣
@@truckman4175 used to be able to. They restricted viewings during Covid and now they only offer ‘virtual viewings’
Do you mean the two guys that put a lot of time ,hard work, and expertise in to what they do . This is not dissing Phil because he does everything to the best he can,but he's on his own and he doesn't have the knowledge and connections of the other guys . The quality of work of Chris and Rob speaks for itself.
For a minute there i thought there was going to b a rant about missing parts. Lucky
You got a runner👍
think the other rear alloy is damaged as well
Phil, what's up with the merc m class in the corner now?
Electrical issues !
Nice one Phil. I've been tempted to buy "three wheelers" in the past, but no clue on how I would get these off a transporter - how did you do it?
Probably picked it up on a trailer, and backed the trailer into the lift. Straight lift off the trailer then.
Any s1 videos coming soon?
Hi Phil. Looks like good news so far ?. Remove, Find and Replace. Just a little worried about part's prices. See you in the next one. 👍👍
12:14 I think it will start
lucky again young man lol. keep up the good work mate
what happened to the white mini?
The crash for cash comment might be for the car it hit, thats the usual scam when they brake check
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
He who dares, wins! Well.. more often than not, thats for sure. Some people here are moaning about if you had previously started it up. Point is. You bought a non runner. Fair play mate
Hello mate
What the hell is going on with the black A pillar and roof line with a white roof, it looks dog ugly like that. With all that damage and the fact it doesn't run or have keys is another lemon of an Audi, you need to fix the one sitting in the corner where the mini was for 12 months lol
The paint scheme is "standard" Audi for the 3-door. On the 5-door, the entire roof is painted to match the roof "sides" if you had the 2-tone colour option but 3-doors, it's just the side pieces
Possibly this car was the victim of the crash-for-cash scam and judging by the after-market bits, the owner probably wanted it repaired, not written off as the damage is superficial, and the insurance co took ages to respond..... why cat S, what part of the structure is damaged? Shouldn't it be Cat N? Front bumper side panels can be bought as pattern parts for around £30 but grilles are like hen's teeth to buy used. Just over £200 + VAT for a genuine Audi replacement. Reason I know is we had an A1 in the family similarly damaged in a crash-for-cash scam at the start of Feb 2022, issues with insurance co writing it off etc, got it back on the road at the start of June for well less cost than the payout
rear quarter and sill are damaged that's classed as structural as its welded to chassis, anything bolted on is N
Why u got your key guy to code you that key is beyond me. They come with 2 flip keys, also every key guy has to start a car to check a key. You act like you haven’t started it before you film it
Why pay all the money to get a flip key coded if the engine is buggered also he normally gets the key guy to check the key works by trying to start the car.
Phil also asks the key guy not to tell him if its a runner so you get his reaction first time.
@@stevenhanley4067 I’ve had too many keys made and for probably extra £30 for a flip key and having him come back. It sounds well backwards, are you telling me in the middle of bacup, he leaves a guy in his unit alone fo start a car and pay not knowing it works. 🤔🤔🤔
@Adam Connell fair play I thought it would have been more expensive for a flip.
He's said in previous videos that the guy tries to start the car and then doesn't tell him.
Think he uses the guy quite often so probably has no reason not to trust him.
