What a lovely little Corsa! You did a fantastic job! This was my first car. Mine was a 1998, deep blue, two door. It was a surprisingly agile car for the city. Sadly, Czech Republic is a "salt-friendly" country and the car completely rotted away in 2012 and had to be scrapped. Its last journey was with me, my wife and our newborn daughter from the hospital. @@sanyey8405Yeah, besides the detailing, most of the other stuff done to this car requires either lifting it or some very expensive tools. It’s theoretically doable in your home garage, but you will probably lose your sanity.
90's cars were the most economic ever produced. With a little effort one can make those cars run for 30-40 years. I have a garage, set of tools and a second-hand old Miller welding machine. My 90's cars won't go away soon. Sadly, people don't like their cars anymore, they just like to drive them. So we are wasting massive amounts of natural resources these days to produce new cars that won't last 10 years on the road.
I love seeing ordinary everyday cars getting restored to showroom condition, rather than exotic cars. The Opel Corsa was also really popular in my home country, Australia, where they are known as a Holden Barina. Keep up the great effort, you have done a fantastic job.
As somebody who for a short while did car Valeting this is a good example of what can be achieved when professionals take over. They have access to the right multitude of products and knowledge. Worth every penny.
One or two things, one: don't underestimate your job, your work deserve a standing ovation. Two:I think your right about the badges, clearly better without. Three:your method are excellent. And for all of this, thank you for sharing this with us dear friend, the most of all the results speaks for you! FAN-TAS-TIC JOB,well done.👍👍👏👏
As the world spirals into madness Videos like these lifts my mood and makes me happy👍 Great to see a normal car being Fixed by a normal person ..great Video thankyou ❤
Massive 'like' on this one. I have been detailing many years, but watching UA-cam videos of professional detailers flexing about their 'skills' while cleaning already clean cars, and basically just using their videos for sponsored product placements, is getting B O R I N G. This was genuinely brilliant, and I say that absolutely genuinely. Thank you so much, it is really interesting to see real skills, transforming a tired and faded older 'normal' car, into something which looks ready for a forecourt. You did a great job with this.
The algorithm brought me to the first video in this series. Just watched all three. Excellent work saving this little Corsa. This is the sort of project I want to do with my son when he's close to driving age in a few years.
Few spray can tips: - buy spray can adapter that allows you to hold the can as paint gun, its cheap, it more ergonomic and your finger don't get tired 😅; - buy nozzles with wider spread, it will save quite a lot of time when doing larger parts like wings or doors. This two things from my experience was so helpful when I was painting front wings on a car I was really amazed how speedy whole process was.
Oh man, I loved this car. A few times I drove it on roads thick with snow and ice as if it's nothing. It provided so much control and feedback that not only I wasn't afraid to drive in such conditions, it was very enjoyable too. Good balance on the wheels, no servo, no ABS or any other electronics...
Weiter so!
That was my wife's first car, same faded colour and everything (though badged as a Vauxhall). Nobody would buy it, they all said it needed a respray and wanted to offer almost nothing for it. I bought some rubbing compound and cut it back by hand to the original colour and I then made it shine (plus made the black bits black again). The next person to view it bought it. Good work!
"Cheap" cars need love too. Everyone repairs rare and expensive cars but a Standard Corsa? Rare. And honestly, these cars are still part of automotive history and culture as well. The masses get around in the "cheaper" cars not the expensive ones. And that needs to be preserved. In 20 Years, not many of those cars will be left at all I think.
I think you need a five minute summary video showing more before-n-after comparisons. Love it and so nice to see a humble car being treated like this. Far more satisfying than an expensive luxury car being done.
What an amazing result. You did a fantastic job on the detail, but on the rust repairs and painting as well. You may not be a professional painter but this is easily good enough for this car. Your friend is lucky to know you, this car looks nearly mint and with all the mechanical work you did he can create cool memories for years to come. Great job!
My man giving this Corsa a brand new life. I saw the titles of your videos and was like "this guy is insane" but holy shit I'm glad you are insane and actually doing this. Keep it up
Also, I didn't catch it first... Plastic bag with a hole instead of playing cards, stretch better over the rim when painting and leave less of a mess/over spray. Also easier to mask.
These cars were beaters fresh out of the factory. You made it better than factory, young man. Love what you did 👍. You are a well grounded individual. Your welding could be a bit better, but it did the job😜 The fact that you did all that with only minimal means is a great way to show other enthusiasts that it's possible.
I have honestly enjoyed every moment of this series so far, knowing that the next video may be the last is oddly sad in its own way. So glad I found this channel!

Great work!! Please put a lot of fluid wax in the doors, trunk lid, the rear quarters, sills, lower radiator support and chassis legs as they are prone to rust on these cars. It will really help for the next years. Have done this to my Corsa A and it is still going strong after 38 years.

This was so wholesome to watch!!! It's amazing what have you done with this car, it looks outstanding, like a factory fresh concept looking car. You are the best!
There are so many videos of people polishing old, red one layer paint cars because the result looks impressive just to get a clickbait thumbnail. I would much prefer to see an old red car with two layer paint to see what's possible with a polishing machine and a lot of time invested. At like that it's relevant or applicable to 95% of the viewers. One layer paint is a thing of the long gone past. I still appreciate your efforts.
