You are far too modest, even in main dealers, many technicians are just parts jockeys, connect the clip read the errors and change parts, there are a few good mechanics, but they are hard to find, far too many just read the codes look it up and change loads of expensive parts, excellent work.
Had Renault master 2019, 69 reg sid321 got check engine on, lost power. Total 11 DTC codes which couldn't remove (back after start). Impressive technician knowledge hats of for that man
We use the Launch DPF fluid in the workshop, and I did have concerns about the exhaust output should a H&S inspector turn up unannounced. I spoke with Launch support, but they were unable to provide a datasheet on the fluid. They did advise that the fluid is non-caustic, essentially soap based and non hazardous. The Launch DPF fluid gun is way overpriced, we use a modified oil spray gun with a flexible nozzle which works well.
Jimmy I popped in to see you on Tuesday morning and I didn’t say that you do forced regenerations so that makes me the only one then . Ps Glad to see you back on the tools ur hands looked really white and clean Tuesday mate . 😂
Morning from Sweden I have a question have a 2018 trafik thats running fine no warning lights etc but have had a slight smell of fumes and yesterday i pulled of the oil cap and it was what i describe as a knocking/tapping noise a little excessive and a reasonable amount of white smoke coming up. I am mechanic minded but not so much with diesels. I am reading that it can be from just a sensor to a major engine fix. Have you seen this before on these vans and if so what is the most regular fix on the 2018 models blockage, sensors or pulling the motor apart? its done just over 112,000 km Hope your experience can point me closer to the cause Thank you Hamish
Possibly main dealers now have fitters not mechanics. The link is in the name. Also perhaps they don't consider it a recognised process and no 100%guarantee and probably would not be able to charge for a revisit.
Jimmy, ash accumulation failure is just a calculated measurement, so most of the time it is a false indication of actual ash, and is actually just soot accumulation that is unburned. generally true ash cannot pass through the DPF because it's larger than what can pass through the filter. if you're lucky, sometimes it can be pushed back out the inlet on a DPF cleaning machine. you probably won't ever see a true Ash accumulation because it's at the end of life of the DPF. The definition of ash is actually metallic contamination mostly caused by engine oil additives. using the wrong motor oil with high ash content and additives that are not compatible with a DPF can cause early accumulation and failure or end of life for the DPF. technically, you should never use the diagnosis ash accumulation unless soot cleaning fails and the residual restriction that cannot be cleared would most likely be permanent ash.
Could i ask what are the symptoms of this blocked pipe ? My Renault Scenic 67 Reg has been diagnosed with it . I am getting a stuttering in low gear up to around 6mph then everything is fine as i speed up . Could this stuttering be as a result of the blocked DPF pipe ??
What ODB2 tool would recommend that can register a new battery on a Vauxhall/ Renault traffic? I own a Launch 919e this tool will not register a new battery on these vehicles.
What alternative similar cleaner can you suggest for us here in the United States? We only can buy the tools but they don’t offer the cleaner. We also tried ordering online from Launchtech UK but they also don’t deliver to the USA. Appreciate the help. Thanks.
I’m in your area and have a 2015 trafic no lights on or problems as yet its done 85000 should I get it done ? What sort of price would it be for you to clear it out for me? Many thanks ryan

You need to ask for the MSDS. Legally they have to provide that.
Yep I can second you saying on multiple occasions that you don't like to do forced regens when you clean with the Lauch Dpf cleaner
Top man. Your renault traffic clogged dpf teach us how to clean renault master 2019 dpf save me few £k. Hats off for You

Amazing job! I lf you don't mind me asking!, why you don't like to force the regen on DPF? Is that bad for the engine?
Another 1st class video what areas do you normally cover
Bedfordshire

Hi ive the same issue very impressed are u based in ireland at all ?

Yes 👍🏻
O Rileys . So, you don't recommend doing a forced regeneration on the dpf?
You believe that it is better to use dpf cleaning fluid

Firstly fantastic video. What model scan tools were you using in this video.
Launch Euro Tab 3 from www.launchtech.co.uk

grazie❤
👍🏻
Can you recommend a windscreen cutting cable?
I have a van with the same problem. How much does it cost to do a service like that?

Wynns?

Did you take it too him.
Can U reset dpf soot by your diagnostic?
An old guitar string will also do the job
I’ve put the launch cleaner through the exhaust pressure sensor and now my Vivaro b 1.6 won’t trick over to start any advise will be appreciated
Sounds like you backfilled the cylinders. Remove the glow plugs and see if it ticks over
I have a vivaro 2018 1.6 there is no option to reset the dpf
Would DPF cleaning fluid clean out the in cabin heater matrix?
Doubt it
Is the launch better than the autel in your opinion? I have a autel which couldnt do anything on a isuzu dmax. Thanks
You need both
How can I contact this fella
Hello mate where can i find you?
On google. Based in Biggleswade UK
Can anyone do this in Southampton
And Fiat talento 🚛
👍🏻
Talks about having no idea about when the DPF fluid is in stock
immediate cut to a dozen bottles
I had these before the stock ran out 👍🏻
I expect he uses a lot, so keeps enough on hand.
Kind of how you run a business.
