You've picked some really great Superman moments, but Christopher Reeve's Superman saving the Helicopter scene in Superman: The Movie should be at the top! 😊
Christopher Reeve is the best. That helicopter scene you mentioned is better than all these scenes in this video. I also love the scene where Superman returns the flag to the Whitehouse at the end of Superman 2. . Absolutely brilliant. Superman apologies shows respect great example. 🙂

No. The number 1 Superman moment of all time is in Superman 2, when superman tricks Zod into thinking his powers have been taken away, but then he crushes Zod's hand and tosses him away. Epic.
What about allstar Superman where Superman he flies into the sun or when his future self goes back in time to see his dad agaim, or where he turns back time to save Lois?
That scene from Superman 1 where Christopher Reeve has spent his first night as Superman then returns to the Fortress of Solitude to console with Jor El. JL and JLU were well done, but in the end they are meant for a younger audience. The whole DBZ combat method of cartooning should never be used outside of DBZ, but it makes it way into other genre and this is one of those cases. There's nothing DBZish about Superman vs Darkseid. There's no teleporting from place to place, no constant attack/dodge all too common to it, no gigantic ki blasts...just accurate Superman combat as shown in the comic books. It's very clear that you don't read Superman comics and that you have no idea what you're talking about in terms of "no clue how to write a good story about him." Scenes like the #2 scene with Superman punching Darkside through buildines is the reason Batman felt a need to intervene in the Batman v Superman movie. :) See, back when Christopher Reeves was superman, he was busy catching all the buildings and busses and continents the badguys were trying to knock down. Afaik. Though I remember one scene in the animated series where he was working on cures for things. (And Lex already had 1-shot cures he was trying to throttle back to more lucrative lifelong treatments.)
The junkyard scene from Superman III is the best scene in any of the movies. The scene where Superman catches the airplane in Superman Returns is the next best scene.
It's interesting that most of these scenes are the rare times when superman acts out of character and actually harms or gets revenge on people. As cool as those scenes are I think the moments that really define him are ones like sacrificing himself to kill doomsday, nearly sacrificing himself to remove the kryptonite continent, taking Lois's memory and forgoing the normal life he craves because he knows the world needs him etc
It's really not. The character himself was portrayed as more Superman-like in the terrible Superman Returns by Brandon Routh. Man of Steel is what happens when someone watches the Dark Knight trilogy and then makes a Superman film, trying to be gritty and dark instead of respecting the character.
@@treyenma5206 MoS very much respected the character. It shows who Superman is at his core, spending his life learning how to restrain himself, and find alternate ways to solve problems. It showed how alone he feels and more or less why. It also worked hard to show how afraid people might be of his kind of power, in ways that most other Superman movies never did. Also great, was that it showed WHY Superman feels so compelled to help the Earth, from his adopted parents, to the kids who saw what he could do, and it changed them for the better(like the red haired kid who bullied him, and then learned to respect him). Finally, granted Supes didn't smile much in MoS, but the scene where he flies for the first time is probably the first time he really does seem to enjoy being himself. I feel that what many people missed, is that he was still "becoming" Superman until the very end of the movie, after he'd learned where he came from and what he *could* be to people. Also, he learned how destructive he could be. Most important, we got to really see him question, and then make the *choice* his dad talked about(the "decide what kind of man you want to be" bit). He chose to put his faith in humanity, and ultimately got rewarded with the fragile trust of *millions* in return. The older films were fantastic, but they really glossed over a lot of the big issues, imo.
I can respect that, but I still disagree with MoS's treatment of the character. Clark was never the kind of character that felt alone, he had a family that loved him and friends that he cared about. He did not have a tormented childhood like the kind they showed in this movie. The death of Jonathan Kent was completely meaningless in MoS. The entire point of his death is to teach Clark that for all the power he has, there are things he cannot stop. (Age, disease). A preventable death that Jonathan just refused to prevent was stupid and taught Clark nothing meaningful. The entire movie, much like the majority of the modern DCEU is a misstep that sets the characters back. Not even going to get started with how fundamentally wrong they got Batman on top of this.
You just reminded me of another detail of MoS that annoyed the crap out of me, action hero Jor-El. That, plus Clark's ability to converse with him or a reasonable facsimile of him in the film. The movie played up the alien/Jesus aspect of him and that's really the least interesting part of Clark Kent/Superman.
Loves Superman! He ALWAYS was & will be my favourite. My 3 scenes on here - handing Darkseid ass to him. The wrecked truck - like that could've been you or you IN that shit if he didn't have control. But No. 1 the bullet to the eyeball! It just bounces off & Supes just looks @ the geezer like, "Ok. We BOTH know how this is gonna go down. Is that that ALL your toys expended?" Brill..

now that was badass, that was a teaser on what supes is capable of, if ever he goes rogue. an appetizer, not a full-on main course, surrounding structures would be immediately leveled off if he goes against, say, darkseid or zod.
I kinda like the scene in Superman 2 where he walks away from his powers for Lois, gets his ass beat in that diner, gets his powers back and returns to the diner and stomps that guy into a pinball machine. How did that not make the list?
If you think those were the best scenes, you don´t understand Superman at all and probably think he is an anime-ish character that only boils down to superstrength and nothing else. That´s why producers think adding one action scene after the other with big explosions in between make a movie.
Good video. Make a part 2. The scene on bm vs sm where the batmobile hits sm and starts flipping and sm vs the elite scene where he takes that guy outer space at the speed of mach 7. And the scene on man of Steel where he crushed an water tight steel door like a empty soft drink can and saved those guys on the platform. Those where some cool scenes imo
Sooo... your best are when Supes is pissed off? Eh. Bold choices. The World of Cardboard Speech is a definite classic, though, especially when those few John Williams notes hit.
Catfish Vodka Christopher Reeces is what you think of when you imagine Superman. Even the artists try and make Superman look like Christopher Reeve now and then.
Anyone catch the jackasses name in the last clip???? It's LOBO who they are in works of making a DC movie about. You can hear it at 5:14, Nice little easter egg from years back.
As much as I had no issue with man of steel Superman greasing Zod I don't think that belongs on this list because not only is it a touchy subject it was a powerful scene which conflicted Superman in general and was a serious moment..not a glorious one. Don't know why there's no Christopher Reeve moments here and no flight scene from man of steel!!! How could you leave that out??!!! Smh
Wait, no Christopher Reeve catching Lois falling out of the helicopter? No infamous “You’ve got me? Who’s got you!?!?” line? That’s definitely a top five moment. The fact that you have moments from clips of cutscenes from video games over the original Superman shows you need to revise your list.
Babloo Kashyap ; I would say that he's the most misinterpreted, merely because Singer gave him very little for Superman, though more gravitas for Clark. Underwhelming screenplay, though Brandon Routh did a great job. I was convinced. 👍 Nice logo, by the way.
Should have been a Top 10 list and included Christopher Reeve catching Lois and the helicopter, Brandon Routh catching the airplane, and Henry Cavill's first flight.
WTF! How in the world could you not include Chris Reeves (RIP) , in the scene when Lois Dies and he was to late to save her? One of the best, and most emotional Superman moments of all time!
Um.... yeah... it does. It totally, absolutely does. But even if it doesn't, it was the best of the available choices as bassist here pointed out. Also, this is fucking hilarious coming from someone with YOUR avatar, not to mention absurdly hypocritical considering that both Piccolo and Goku kill bad guys all the time to prevent greater blood shed. Are they immoral? No. They're absolutely correct to and they're rightly regarded as heroes for this... except that one time Goku risked all life on the planet betting that his son could defeat Cell which blew up (literally) in his face, but whatever. He suffered death for his stupid plan and didn't get to see his family for years after that... until he came back and bet the farm on his son and Vegeta's son... and the world got blown to bits, but hey, that's a separate issue from the fact that Goku is absolutely correct, in principle, not to let fuckers who can blow up planets and try to destroy all life on earth because it's fun or some other insufficient reason live most of the time.
+Karl George actually, this is an origin story, Clark still doesn't know the responsibility of being a hero, heck, he just flew for the first time only a few days before the fight with Zod. so, he was only doing what he thought was for the greater good of humanity, and killing Zod made him realise his shortcomings which would serve as a code for him in the future.
Zod was incappable to make a tiny difference between good or evil.He could find Kal el and ask the codex, and set the kriptonians in Mars or another inhabitated planet. He lost his soul when he murdered his friend Jor El. Kent killed someone who has already death inside.
Such a great list of choices. You can also really see that Zack Snyder takes inspiration from that DCUO cinematic for the Knightmare world and that moment when Superman re-orbits and punches Zodsday. My top picks are either the World of Cardboard speech or just every single Superman scene in ZSJL

The junkyard scene from Superman III is the best scene in any of the movies. The scene where Superman catches the airplane in Superman Returns is the next best scene.
Thank you
Best scene is when Superman kicks asses of whole Justice league.
Pretty good list! I would have also added the diner scene from Superman 2.
The last scene seems like a homage to that one. When I first saw it, I knew that guy was going to face his comeuppance in some way.
Superman fighting against the justice league when they first revive him is number 1.. power scaling is perfect ... so good
When Superman knew that Lex always carries Kryptonite why don't get much careful. I'm sick of kryptonite
Makavir jawns make a dance
Negua dance Nicola dawn the dhan me
Big Meg LA dawns means vegh throughs shock
MOS is fav...and the bgm from Zimmer kills me..
And people say this man will lose to guko and hulk
It's interesting that most of these scenes are the rare times when superman acts out of character and actually harms or gets revenge on people. As cool as those scenes are I think the moments that really define him are ones like sacrificing himself to kill doomsday, nearly sacrificing himself to remove the kryptonite continent, taking Lois's memory and forgoing the normal life he craves because he knows the world needs him etc
Somehow, my most memorable moment in the Superman movie was when a fisherman tried to save him in a crab boat.
superman is toughminded geek, there are so few of us who has power and prefer not to fight to avoid death of someone whos weaker
Nice piece. Love Superman (for 15 years I've read his comics) and I loved MOS, which is the most loyal cinematic adaptation of the source...
It's really not. The character himself was portrayed as more Superman-like in the terrible Superman Returns by Brandon Routh. Man of Steel is what happens when someone watches the Dark Knight trilogy and then makes a Superman film, trying to be gritty and dark instead of respecting the character.
No. Just... No.
Amount of patience superman tolerates at the last scene is ridiculous. The man would have be made into a pancake😂
The best, by far, is from "Superman: the Movie". "You me? Who's got YOU?!?"
ua-cam.com/video/bUY48aQFcwA/v-deo.html
LOL
wait, I think "you me? you me?" is from Night at the Roxbury.
To me no list is complete without the the Doomsday fight. He sacrificed everything for the people he loved, for the woman he loved.
labattman I came out with this video before BvS but i am glad that there are others that love that movie and the fight! 🤘🏻
Loves Superman!
He ALWAYS was & will be my favourite. My 3 scenes on here - handing Darkseid ass to him. The wrecked truck - like that could've been you or you IN that shit if he didn't have control. But No. 1 the bullet to the eyeball! It just bounces off & Supes just looks @ the geezer like,
"Ok. We BOTH know how this is gonna go down. Is that that ALL your toys expended?" Brill..
Pretty good list. One of my personal favs is in superman when lois dies, just before he turns back time. We've never seen superman more pissed onscreen since. Very powerful scene.
5:44 Man, even without powers Clark coulda fuqqed him up!
That bullet which hits the eye of the Superman is by far the best scene.

How do you not mention MoS in this...
mess with Dianna, and u see the wrath of kryptonian, blood and death.
Superman the Best
Two particular sequences I love are the crab boat/oil rig scene in Man of Steel, and the Gatling gun scene in Superman Returns, classic Superman!
#1 - Superman vs Justice League
Hate justice league
now that was badass, that was a teaser on what supes is capable of, if ever he goes rogue. an appetizer, not a full-on main course, surrounding structures would be immediately leveled off if he goes against, say, darkseid or zod.
Pretty nice choice of scenes. I like how you chose from everything.
I kinda like the scene in Superman 2 where he walks away from his powers for Lois, gets his ass beat in that diner, gets his powers back and returns to the diner and stomps that guy into a pinball machine. How did that not make the list?
That's straight up bullying...that was a very OCC scene for Superman character ight there...but very likeable dfor us humans...
Nice follow through with the darkseid punch
And nothing from the original superman movies... this video must've been made by some kid born in the 2000's
1999
Superman II when he crushes Zod’s hand is the best scene of all time. But I do appreciate the modern touch!
If you think those were the best scenes, you don´t understand Superman at all and probably think he is an anime-ish character that only boils down to superstrength and nothing else. That´s why producers think adding one action scene after the other with big explosions in between make a movie.
Agreed.
Tell me bat do u bleed.....?
What if a human inhale kryptonite Gass ? Isn't it mortal to us ?
Sooo... your best are when Supes is pissed off? Eh. Bold choices. The World of Cardboard Speech is a definite classic, though, especially when those few John Williams notes hit.
No Christopher Reeve scenes??? Blasphemy!
Super clip of Superman
no Christopher Reeves? the best superman of all time
Catfish Vodka Christopher Reeces is what you think of when you imagine Superman. Even the artists try and make Superman look like Christopher Reeve now and then.
Catfish Vodka also, i hope you actually don't either give vodka to catfish, or try and get vodka from them
Y'all are crazy. Christopher Reeve IS Superman.
I'm guessing the creator of this video is too young to even know who Christopher Reeve is. Otherwise, he'd be on this list.
I prefer Henry Cavill as superman
Anyone catch the jackasses name in the last clip???? It's LOBO who they are in works of making a DC movie about. You can hear it at 5:14, Nice little easter egg from years back.
5:47 Lmfao...
stopping the plane from crashing is always the best moment
No Christopher Reeves? F this video!
Superman Returns is The Best Scene 🌸
My best superman is brenden routh
Babloo Kashyap ; I would say that he's the most misinterpreted, merely because Singer gave him very little for Superman, though more gravitas for Clark. Underwhelming screenplay, though Brandon Routh did a great job. I was convinced. 👍
Nice logo, by the way.
You've got to be joking right? Cavill makes him look like a young Superboy under Kryptonite flu
Babloo Kashyap Superman has always been kind of dark, as with the rest of the DC universe, cavil did the part pretty much perfectly
Bryan Singer gave more scene to Kate Bosworth. its his fault he didnt shine as Supes
Babloo Kashyap Bahahahahahhahahahahahah
Should have been a Top 10 list and included Christopher Reeve catching Lois and the helicopter, Brandon Routh catching the airplane, and Henry Cavill's first flight.
Henry Cavill is the best one
#5 if clark kent was trained by thomas Wayne; maybe the truck guy could be his head blow off/smash/ or anything else.
those 5 moments comparing to comic books are bullshit
k
Well most Superman comics aren't going to have a motion release.
thats really to bad
K
WTF! How in the world could you not include Chris Reeves (RIP) , in the scene when Lois Dies and he was to late to save her? One of the best, and most emotional Superman moments of all time!
these are the top 5 best superman moments of all time? nothing from man of steel should even be in a top 100 best superman moments of all time.
Sorry bud, 15 people that liked this video disagree. That scene completely shows who superman really is to me.
so a killer?
great moral hero for you.
killing 1 to save a billion doesn't make act morally right.
Um.... yeah...
I loved when he destroyed the guys 18 wheeler wish they had expanded how that happened and the look on his face after doing that
Superman supposed to fly really fast and save everybody from bullets and explosions. Not snapping necks and trucks...
superitgel1 Obviously you have never picked up a single modern comic. Superman's character is not what it is depicted in early movies.
Superman's whole dilemma is a moral one, if he's done the right thing or not.
16iamrock the "modern" Superman is dead thank God. He made me hate Superman so much.
Zod was incappable to make a tiny difference between good or evil.He could find Kal el and ask the codex, and set the kriptonians in Mars or another inhabitated planet.
He lost his soul when he murdered his friend Jor El.
Kent killed someone who has already death inside.
Smash Dat well, now him and classic supes are one and the same.
Marvellous, I love Superman.... Not because he is American, but he is Superman.
Ambrish Eshan, He's actually not American, he's an undocumented immigrant, aka illegal alien. LOL
last moment sucks
All in One how so?
That was a good scene!
Yeah. It should be at 5.
All in One Pretty much most of these scenes suck *(imo)*
All in One nah that was savage af
Such a great list of choices. You can also really see that Zack Snyder takes inspiration from that DCUO cinematic for the Knightmare world and that moment when Superman re-orbits and punches Zodsday.
My top picks are either the World of Cardboard speech or just every single Superman scene in ZSJL
Yes for sure. Maybe i need to update this list with ZSJL scenes
@@16iamrock I recommend a Top 10 then lol
Sorry. Best Superman seen is the helicopter catch....... that part where he takes off.... so good
3:19
Batman: Ride ain't over yet
Darkseid: My man 😂😂😂
That "never" at 1:16 is what actually killed zod, not superman... superman just became the executioner to get rid of a social problem at that point.
#4 that's a good one
What about the scene in the Superman movies back in the 80s where he flew around the Earth and spun it backwards to reverse time to save Louis Lane?
superman did so much damage to these buildings.
