You answered all of my questions and questions I didn't even know I had and citing not only the comic book related questions with website but even the super nova question with a source from WW2. I never see this much work and love in the darn description box so great job.
I've noticed that there actually seems to be a psychological aspect to how Superman takes down each member of the Elite, in that it shatters what they think makes them untouchable and powerful. Managerie is taken out with a dart, and she outright says it feels like something bit her. Setting small hordes of monstrous creatures on others to bite them to death is her department, and Superman inflicted something similar on her with just one much tinier dart The Hat suffocates due to real world biology and physics, things that he should have been able to bypass as a magic user. This takedown reminded him he was still bound by natural laws, so his carefree arrogance was unearned Coldcast is pretty much the brute of the Elite, using powerful energy blasts as an all-solving hammer. Superman defeats him by using the opposite of strength, speed, to yank him away before he can even formulate a plan to attack. With the added benefit that hiding in a city would be ineffective, because Superman can make him look like a firecracker in comparison if he wanted Manchester Black sees himself as the leader, the brains of the Elite, thinking he knows what's best. Superman's literal attack on that same mind of his doesn't just take away his real and only strength, his powers, but also demonstrates to Black how intelligent Superman is to do something so precise and effective. Hell, his entire gamble proved that he could plan two steps ahead of Black and invalidate his claims that might makes right is, well, right Edit: And this makes comment number 52,000
Jonathan and Martha Kent are the true heroes of the DC universe. Through kindness, wisdom, and general wholesomeness they made Clark/Kal who he is. Without them this unbound apex predator would have burned the world down.
Actually kinda true but jarel his father also said you have a choice my son you can be their hero , you can give them hope, they will chase behinde you, they will fall, and you will be their hero their protector or you can rule over them and no one can stop you chose wisely my son for they are a young species and with you to give them hope, they will one day have the strength to fight by your side. He chose to be there hero his powers are described as limitless in the comics he's the strongest superhero in DC.
Two things to note that make this scene better: 1. Ordinarily, you can't show people gruesomely dying without raising the age rating considerably. A clever way around this that also makes the deaths seem much darker is hearing Superman describe these deaths in gruesome detail. Really stirs up the imagination. It's scarier knowing they could be based on facts. They're not just bluffs. They're threats. They're a terrifying reminder that Superman isn't just dangerous, he's creative. 2. Superman's English voice actor also portrays Sephiroth. George Newbern is really, really good at sounding like a villain.
For all his raw strength, one of the things you ought to be wary of when it comes to Superman is his heat vision. There's a reason you don't see him use it aggressively often. Because by then it becomes easy mode for him and ultra-nightmare for us all. Remember that time he burned through Darkseid's face? Lobotomized DCAU Doomsday? Took the life of President Luthor? Heck, look how Injustice Billy ended up. What about burning down a Joker party? Best, the part he burned down an entire army of Doomsday clones. "Heat vision. Focus through your pupils like a scalpel. *INSTANT LOBOTOMY.* " sounds like a badass ad for a surgical procedure, too.
I think it is very fitting that his man baby counterpart, Homelander, constantly spams the laser eyes, because it is the laziest solution to all of his problems, but sometimes because of that it actually creates more problems, just because Homelander can't seem to be bothered to do anything that requires him give enough of a damn about his job to take two steps is why the Plane went down and the incident in Season 2 happened. On the other hand, Superman not only uses his wider variety of powers to solve different problems with creativity and smartness, but has a stronger control over his Heat Vision that he can pull up these kinds of stunts. Is a cool parallel.
@@Mortimer_RS It's worth noting that Superman also has DC ''physics'' backing him up 😂 The plane scene is a clear jab at Superman lifting planes up with his hands, Homelander is correct when he says there would be no way to lift the plane.
@@gabrielborges7129it’s not just DC physics backing him up, Superman (and by extension all Kryptonians) have a tactile telekinetic force field which allows them to carry very large/heavy objects without them crumbling apart under their own weight by spreading the effect to them. It also covers their entire body, which is why their clothes are protected from their attacks/movements, as well as being able to withstand blows from similarly powerful beings. Though it should also be noted that their tissues are more durable/powerful when under the light of a yellow sun, and not just the tactile telekinetic forcefield which grants them their enhanced physical characteristics.
@first last Well, that’s because a scientist knows more than you and I ever could, so it’s not hard why people believe them because they can bring up facts (and proof), then just say “Believe he’s real” Like what you say with God. Scientist also review older work decades from now because they weren’t as advanced as now. Don’t tell me you think revision of previous work means they’re lying or “changing their minds” people can make mistakes, or not have sufficient evidence for the claim, like how the one “doctor” said vaccines cause autism when there is proof that is doesn’t. People like you like to throw the buzzword sheep around and act all fucking high and mighty when you’re not, you’re a sad, paranoid, hipster of a person.
@@Unknown-ds4yd Nice way of proving it, nothing to bring up, just someone cryptic way of saying “you just have to believe” yeah, like I’m going to believe someone walked on water fucking 2000 years ago from a book that was man made.
This scene is especially chilling because Superman isn't just deciding to somewhat cut loose to scare the Elite; *he's using their own philosophy against them.* The entire story, they've been acting with the Philosophy that might makes right and those in power should use it however they see fit. And the Elite realize too late that by that metric, Superman wins, and will win every time. It's a horrifying thought, and the exact reason why Clark holds back as much as he does and why he fundamentally disagrees with the Elite.
“ you could have saved the world a long time ago lex, you are the most gifted human on earth, you just choose to like the idea of being a hero but the truth is you don’t want to be a hero you just want control. Idk definitely something similar what Superman said to lex once
Yeah, it's the whole "living in a world of cardboard" thing. For Superman, that's a literal fact. He's constantly holding himself back by about 90%, because he knows just how powerful he is and how much devastation he could cause by simply _breathing too hard._ And that's just with a yellow sun. In the light of a _white_ sun he could shatter galaxies with a high-five. Hell, even with a red sun it doesn't eliminate his powers right off the bat. He's a literal walking solar battery, and can hold on to that energy for _days_ (it's how he can fight in the darkest reaches of space, for instance). So yeah, pissing him off is an awesome way to get yourself atomized.
@@OscarHernandez-sr7oj oftentimes though that is the unspoken assumption of people who ascribe to these beliefs. Very **very** rarely do we see people simply say might makes right so I need to be on the bottom (usually if they do its because they've been conditioned to by those with power). More often than not people assume they would be the ones in charge in an unequal system.
What's even scarier is when you think how much he's holding back here. He's not even using 1% of his power. Supes is literally strong enough to tank blasts that are multiverse level, and is over trillions of times faster than light. He only flew that guy into orbit at mach 7.
This story giving you a quick reminder that Superman ISN'T "What if the Quiet Kid in class had superpowers". He is just that good of a person, and an even better actor.
I think Brightburn did a great job of showing that behind every super man there must be super parents. Without those super parents, you may get a super monster. That movie gave me chills unmatched by anything except a very young me watching the Exorcist alone in the dark.
@@dweetsauce8513 injustice superman may be weaker than regular superman/main canon superman but even tho normal superman could still be scary one time him and bruce were speaking clark spoke in a chilling manner (he was threatening most likely) bruce froze in his place, homelander depends on the version "tv or comic" his characteristic in the show is better than the comic and more charismatic but no where near being as psychotic as the comics. Brandon breyer (brightburn) is based mostly on ultra man he is just younger less experienced and more unhinged version than both kinda creepier too imo.
The Angel I mean, I’ve seen Homelander on both, and he’s still terrifying no matter what. I love how this scene kinda spits in the face of dark and gritty evil Superman stories. He has the power to do anything he wants for any reason, but instead of tearing the world down he tries to prop it up.
It helps with Supes' VA being Sephiroth . I almost expected a line akin to " You must not meddle with a man possessing powers beyond your level Black " .
Supermans biggest power/strength according to me is not his heat vision or physical strength. It’s the ability to hold back all the time. Even when angered, when fighting enemies, when emotional. He fully well knows how powerful he is and yet holds back so well so as to not hurt anyone. That’s what makes him the superhero.
And that's why I don't just say his contemporaries like Wonder woman, Martian Manhunter, Aquaman, ANY of them save maybe Shazam/Black adam are as strong as Superman. Because it is wired into his character to hold back 99 percent of the time. He was raised doing it. Its why when bizarro runs loose he ragdolls everyone else and even shocks Superman with his strength...because he doesn't hold back. Superman won't even cut loose to save his ego. There's something really earnest about it.
@Sarim Action Comics #273, titled Superman: The World of Mr. Mxyzptlk. Mr. Mxyzptlk summons a meteor that hurdles towards an orphanage on Earth. Superman flies in the and smashes the meteor. It rains dust particles so Superman inhales it to protect everyone. Because Mr. Mxyzptlk summoned the metor, It was magic in origin. Superman is weak against magic so he blitzes out of the solar system to an uninhabited solar system sneezes and it takes out the entire solar system.
What makes Superman such an endearing character is how he’s almost ALWAYS portrayed as the most powerful being of the Justice League (if not, the entire DC Universe) yet is debatably the most down-to-earth and human member of the team
"It is a remarkable dichotomy, really. In many ways Clark is the most Human of us all. Then he shoots *fire* from the sky, and it is difficult not to think of him as a God... And how lucky we ALL are, that it NEVER occurs to him." - Batman, 'Batman/Superman: Public Enemies'
Superman knows full well the power he wields. The fact that he chooses to be gentle, kind, and respectful of free will is why he's a hero. That and how he'd probably knowingly take a kryptonite bomb to protect a stranger. He knows how to kill, and has the power to do so on incalculably horrific scales. He chooses not to. Even when he must kill, he does not revel in it or inflict needless suffering.
yep thats what makes him the most bad ass character because its what he doesnt do that makes him so powerful .he acts like a god ,a god will just show you a taste of what they are capable of doing and it will be enough to where you know better not to mess with them out of fear of what would happen if they were fully unleashed their power
@@marsgo8938 Imagine if you have a character that can solve any problem anytime by just using one of his hundred superpowers. Now imagine that you want a character that's more down to earth to beat the main antagonist. Now may I ask you, will you ignore the super being in favor of your MC? The answer is yes. And that's what plot armor means ma boi. Supes have this powers, he's just never seen using them because it would mean he can solve any problem, and people would just wonder why superman isn't there instead of the MC.
People think Superman is powerful and that makes him boring. But Superman fans get why he is so awesome: however powerful you think he is, he is WAY beyond anything you can imagine. The battle where we see him struggle is not against his enemies, but against himself, in how much power he will use against a given foe. He does not fall to corruption even though he could rule this world as a god. Morality is his greatest power, and for those of us really into deep philosophical quandaries and morality plays he provides a wealth of content to explore and enjoy.
I don't see your point, none of Superman's feats in this video prove his strength is unknowable, Post-Crisis Superman is a Solar System buster at best. He's incredibly easy to quantify, and he's weaker than a lot of other characters, not just in DC.
Exactly, and I can't stand how people seem to think that there are those in anime who can completely beat him and he is weaker than most. If this video didn't demonstrate it, there are insane moments in comics that show his true power beyond even some "planet breakers" in anime. I'm a big fan myself, but I can see that Superman stands for more than a lot of the other characters, what makes him great is the fact that with all of that incredible power, he'd still rather talk to someone than resort to violence. People like Goku prefer to fight and relish in it, not Superman.
The scariest part for me is all the villains who were watching this go down and thinking “if I push Superman he might actually KILL me!” A superhuman who can destroy you in the blink of an eye? That’s enough for most villlans to go straight for a VERY long time
DCAU Lex would be utterly excited about this. But well, "I'm not the man who killed President Luthor. Right now, I wished to heaven that I were, but I'm not." That's after DCAU Wally supposedly died.
People don't get this, but Superman is awesome because he's a boyscout. An overpowered, and yet still kind and determined boyscout. His story is not just about his victory, but also how he'll strive to win his battles in the best way possible. In this story Superman was initially showing to The Elite why being goodie two shoes can be pretty cool, only started to intimidate them when they just won't listen and planned to become even worse. Regardless of when he's at his strongest (All-Star) or at his strangest state (Superman Blue vs Angel), if the writer's capable enough and know why Superman is so adored, his stories will be damn good.

In a very petty lens, this is correct. He wanted to show how easily the logical conclusion would go badly for them if others played by their rules. People like The Elite only do well in systems where they expect their rivals to be far more merciful than they are.
"The anger of a good man is not a problem. Good men have too many rules." "Good men don't need rules. Today is not the day to find out why I have so many."
I still think the ending of Justice League: Unlimited, when Supes goes on a monologue about how the world is like cardboard to him, is the best. I just wished they had let it run longer.
While I liked Superman's speech, DS only lost because of PIS. There were total of 6 fights in Superman TAS and JL/JLU: 1: DS vaporizes Kalibak, then confronts Supes. DS spams Omega beam. DS curbstomps. 2: DS confronts Supes during the invasion. DS spams Omega beam. DS curbstomps. 3: Offscreen, DS and Supes fight. DS wins and kidnaps Supes for brainwash. 4: Supes invades Apokalypse after recovering from the brainwash. Supes barely wins. 5: Supes fights DS in Brainiac planet. DS uses Omega beam twice (one of them was able to turn around the fight in DS favor), but DS stops using Omega Beam for no reason. Supes wins. 6: Supes fights DS in Metropolis. DS doesn't use Omega beam at all. Supes wins. Notice the pattern? Once DS starts using Omega beam, Supes can't win.

I'm glad this video has survived for so many years. Superman is a great character because he is a man who has the power to rule everything with an iron fist but he has the humanity to restrain himself. He doesn't allow his power to corrupt him which makes him an inspiration.
He had turned into a dictator a couple of times. The Justice league even had an Arc about it. Lex kills Louis and Flash, Superman kills him on the spot. Injustice is all about it. He is more of an anti Hero than a super villain but DC has gone there. Red Son is all about him taking Stalin's place.
That scene where Superman gets less impacted by every consecutive punch he receives to the face, to the point where the opponents arm just snaps is the most giga chad way to take hits I have ever seen.
I know the evil superman trope is being overplayed but i always like it. Homelander, Omni man, Injustice Superman, their all good examples of why if you have that kind of power, you must have perfect control and have a good childhood
I also like how for all of their grandstanding, none of them even comes CLOSE to the real deal. It’s like an admission the real deal will always be better no matter how much he restrains himself
@Brazoncius Roxfort keep in mind that the darkseid you see is a weaker silhouette of darkseid, note WEAKER. the true form of him is off somewhere else... I can't remember off the top of my head though, also didn't doomsday beat superman too?

Superman's true power is that he is only as strong as he needs to be. The whole story of superman is about what he stands for not his powers. Its that simple people.
Keep in mind that when Superman said " He went into orbit at Mach 7", he said basically shot him out of the atmosphere at approx. 5,187.7 mph. Now, also keep in mind, that a normal person can withstand up to 5 Gs, while an astronaut can withstand up to 9 Gs; so in retrospect, Coldcast should have died from experiencing well over 10 Gs.
@@ДавидГригорьев-ф3ж He is actually a Meta-human who first appeared in Action Comics #775, where he was part of The Elite, then later joined the Justice League Elite.
I always joke that the only reason anything in Justice League seems to stop superman is because he knows that Batman isn't much of a team player unless he feels needed. And he wants to make Batman feel needed, so despite godlike powers "Oh no, the robot caught me... help!" Because despite him being able to handle anything put out against the rest of the League, and probably everything that faces the league combined at once, his goal isn't just to save mankind, his goal is to help them become better. And you don't do that by doing everything for them.

"But Dr. Manhattan could beat him! He could erase him in the blink of an eye!" Yeah about that....he actually tried doing it and _failed_ . Doomsday Clock #10 brings back up and reinforces the notion of Superman being an integral and necessary constant of reality as he is the first superhero. "Everything comes from Superman", as Alexander Luthor once said in Infinite Crisis. No matter what happens, there will always be a Superman as he represents hope and any attempt to change this causes the universe to adapt and reform around him. It also clarifies that Superman could indeed kill Manhattan and he sees a possible outcome in which he confronts him but he doesn't know if Superman kills him or he destroys the universe
In addition to that, Dr. Manhattan directly identifies his attempts to change Superman as "hubris" and himself the "villain" of the universe. Hilariously, it was Dr. Manhattan that created the New52 Superman, who was basically retconned out of existence.
As Superman, fought the fraud "The King of Psychics", he began to unleash 1% of his power, Manchester shrunk back in fear, as Supermain said "Stand proud Manchester, you are strong".

One of my favorite movies is Allstar Superman. While the feats he performs in the movie might not count due to the circumstances, one thing it does well is take the time to show what superman does in his downtime. The scientific experiments, the manufacturing, even the types of pets he keeps and cares for. He has a forge that creates galaxies when he strikes it, which he uses to feed his pet baby suneater. The dude literally creates stars, just to feed the baby alien that he found and decided to keep as a pet. In my honest opinion Superman is more scary than omni man not just because how fast he can kill someone but also how creative he can get with his kills especially since Superman knows all the tiny details about the human body thanks to his xray vision and microscopic vision
Very thorough description. Very nice. I just wanna point out that his telepathy was heard by the people watching. So either he recreated the sound to be picked up by the drones, or he spoke to not just the elite, but also anyone watching on earth. That alone is an insane show of power.
Yeah, nothing in this supports any evidence of Super Man having "telepathic" or anything other than resources from his friends, his own abilities of strength and speed and intelligence. The tornado the person who posted these claims, is telepathic, which is probably just created by flying really fast, and they don't show it often super speed is slowed down to show what's happening but it looks a whole lot scarier and more threatening when you actually can't even see a blur of a human because its so fast so it helps bring the terror to the villains and the audience.
Blud literally bench press the weight of the entire planet for mutiple days in a row and these villains thought they could crush him with cars n' buildings.
Well, according to various science channel talking about how strong is Superman realistically is that his punch alone would cause a massive nuclear explosion or a black hole(I forgot which one). When he's moving full speed, he would leave a trail of vacuum and everything would be sucked in(technically you would die if Superman fly or runs past you). In short, yeah. Superman needs to hold back without harming Earth.
Flash is faster than supes but because flashs speed force keeps shit from like breaking from flashes speed the flash wouldnt be able to cause more damage then supes . Also flash can run on air
@@Josh-qc7gx no, he isn't. It has been officially confirmed for *decades* at this point that Flash is faster than Superman, why are people still living in the early 1980s?
@The D4C Gang he's actually a parody of shonene characters like Naruto and Dragonball charcters, but when they reach their peak (like if Goku could activate Ultra Instinct in the original dragonball series). So technically he isn't getting stronger, he's already at his peak. But otherwise I get what you say. Just make sure not to trust every post you see, because a lot of people tend to misinterpret feats of their favorite characters to put them massively higher than they're actually are.
In the comics he punched a planet in half just because he was in a tantrum because Luthor had been chosen president of the US... yeah, not his full power at all...
People mock Superman by calling him a 'boyscout'. Why do they forget that 'normal' boyscouts are some of the most capable individuals ever, and that they're tagging such a term onto the being who can benchpress mountains and outspeed *everything* they could conceivably think of?
@Brazoncius Roxfort I am not saying Superman is nothing without Sun or something like that my question was can Superman beat the elite without Sun has it will continuously give him energy
Damn. Two answers in a row sent by alt accounts of Captain Obvious, i wonder if the next will be something as evident and/or ignorant of basic speech used in the internet
I've always said that if you go off of his powers they're just constantly plot stripped down. If you had a full powered Superman according to any one of the movies basic rules or the canons basic rules on him or any of that crap, he would be an unbeatable God. He would scan every person and never let kryptonite near him and he would be absolutely ruthless and efficient when it comes to killing. Everything that he fights would be like a cat playing with a blind, deaf and paralyzed mouse. 😺 🐀
There are characters that can flat out stomp Superman into the ground, but these are few and far between since not even cosmic-tier beings like Soulfire Darkseid and Imperiex Prime can do that easily. Characters that *can* one-shot Superman: Yuga Khan(Darkseid's dad), Spectre if he is judging Superman and is fully empowered by The Presence, Monarch and Michael Demiurgos if he believes that Superman has become a threar to the Omniverse. Characters that are cosmic-tier but a level below the characters I mentioned like the Anti-Monitor, the Time Trapper, IP, etc, still struggle against a fully enraged and unleashed Superman.
@@Skyblade12 Trigon, in theory, is above Superman in the power hierarchy, but it's difficult to judge because Superman has multi-galactic and Universal-level feats that dwarf what Trigon has actually done. It has been implied that Trigon has altered timelines and warped reality at the Universal level, but none of these feats are proven. Mr.Mxyztplk can warp Reality on a Multiversal scale, but even Mxy has raw away from an enraged Superrman. So even if Trigon can warp an Universe, it's not certain that he could one-up Superman(watch Superman's fight against Soulfire Darkseid). Most of Trigon's powers revolve around *corruption* ,as you would expect from a demon, and getting other powerful beings to do his bidding. He probably couldn't corrupt Superman because his mental blocks are extremely strong, but he could corrupt other beings perhaps even more powerful than himself to defeat Superman. So it's a really tough call
@@petercoderch589dang, no wonder i dont like DC or Marvel, these people just dont know how to make a proper believable scale. everythings just universe ripping level of BS.
Do NOT forget Superman's Greatest power of all. Considering how much power he ACTUALLY does have. His Truest Super Power is his Restraint! He is ALWAYS seeking an action that causes the least harm.
That's reason I love and hate superman for. A criminal that learns 2 do better okay. But the savages...... That's why I love Man of Steel! When he snapped Zod's neck! I wasn't expecting it. I though oh once a boy-scout always a boy-scout... and than snap!

I think the reason why you shouldn’t mess with superman, other than his overwhelming and possibly limitless power, is the fact that despite all the good things he does and is, he has no obligation to follow that. And as a kind person myself, id say no one is more dangerous than a kind and compassionate person, because when they snap, they either ignore their morals, or dont know what immorality is at that point and go crazy.
It's like what the Doctor said, good men don't have rules, only men trying to be good. Batman will go to extreme lengths to prevent himself from killing because he knows it's a slippery slope. But if Superman decides someones crossed the line, that's it.

I've noticed that there actually seems to be a psychological aspect to how Superman takes down each member of the Elite, in that it shatters what they think makes them untouchable and powerful.
Managerie is taken out with a dart, and she outright says it feels like something bit her. Setting small hordes of monstrous creatures on others to bite them to death is her department, and Superman inflicted something similar on her with just one much tinier dart
The Hat suffocates due to real world biology and physics, things that he should have been able to bypass as a magic user. This takedown reminded him he was still bound by natural laws, so his carefree arrogance was unearned
Coldcast is pretty much the brute of the Elite, using powerful energy blasts as an all-solving hammer. Superman defeats him by using the opposite of strength, speed, to yank him away before he can even formulate a plan to attack. With the added benefit that hiding in a city would be ineffective, because Superman can make him look like a firecracker in comparison if he wanted
Manchester Black sees himself as the leader, the brains of the Elite, thinking he knows what's best. Superman's literal attack on that same mind of his doesn't just take away his real and only strength, his powers, but also demonstrates to Black how intelligent Superman is to do something so precise and effective. Hell, his entire gamble proved that he could plan two steps ahead of Black and invalidate his claims that might makes right is, well, right

Two things to note that make this scene better:
1. Ordinarily, you can't show people gruesomely dying without raising the age rating considerably. A clever way around this that also makes the deaths seem much darker is hearing Superman describe these deaths in gruesome detail. Really stirs up the imagination.

Not the mention the fact that it’s practically impossible to react to. There’s no tell, no wind up, just a blast and boom, you’re dead

How many villains do you think retired after watching this?
When people say Superman is a boring boyscout and yet he can be very terrifying when he wants to be.
The contrast between normal Superman and scary Superman is part of what makes it so scary when he decides it's time to stop being nice.

Very thorough description. Very nice.
I just wanna point out that his telepathy was heard by the people watching. So either he recreated the sound to be picked up by the drones, or he spoke to not just the elite, but also anyone watching on earth. That alone is an insane show of power.
I think in the comics it's done by drones, but here I think he's talking through Martian Manhunter.

Being real, all of the DC comic characters get stripped down except Batman. All of them were designed to be extremely overpowered.
@@petercoderch589How does Trigon measure up?
4:29 the way superman said "he went into orbit at mach 7" gave my spine chills 😅
Do NOT forget Superman's Greatest power of all. Considering how much power he ACTUALLY does have. His Truest Super Power is his Restraint! He is ALWAYS seeking an action that causes the least harm.
Nah his greatest power is creating a smaller version of him self with his exact powers out of his hand.
Ur right
Not in batman v superman tho :/
That's reason I love and hate superman for. A criminal that learns 2 do better okay. But the savages...... That's why I love Man of Steel! When he snapped Zod's neck! I wasn't expecting it. I though oh once a boy-scout always a boy-scout... and than snap!
he also Killed him in Superman 2 just not as dramatically
"The world needs people in charge who are willing to put the animals down."
Good Lord, I would never have expected such an incredibly intimidating line from SUPERMAN.
Try reading the comics. He gets real intense when he wants to:

He's not a man to piss off by any means.
Nothing is as scary as a kind and peaceful man who has no choice but to go to war.
@@DaDitka "Demons run when a good man goes to war."
It's like what the Doctor said, good men don't have rules, only men trying to be good. Batman will go to extreme lengths to prevent himself from killing because he knows it's a slippery slope. But if Superman decides someones crossed the line, that's it.
