You Sir are an excellent instructor and I suspect your channel will take off! The pace at which you present information is very much appreciated by this new user. You give people enough to time to comprehend what your are saying it, while doing it. I will be back for more content for sure as this video alone has been very helpful. Seeing examples of the power of this program opens up ideas for creativity. Thank you.
Thanks a lot for your kind words. I believe in a slower pace of teaching as I believe understanding something and taking the ideas and making something else out of it is the essence of learning. If I went faster, the audience would know how to do that one thing, but might struggle to expand on the concepts on their own. What you've said is music to my ears. Thanks for stopping by and watching! I sincerely appreciate your feedback! :)
I have never listened to such a clear breakdown and a step by step explanation before. No loud music in background, no fancy transitions, just clear and straight to the point. Thank you so much. I learned a lot
I like that you dig into the properties of how the features work in more detail. Makes you actually create something usable at the end of following along. A lot of videos just say this is broadly working but you can tweak it, without telling you how to tweak it.
I really appreciate this slower, more complete approach! I know UA-cam usually pushes people to condense their instruction into a shorter video, but that's not always the best way to teach. Thank you for taking your time with this, I feel like I understand the principles much better!
Thanks Bryan. Yes, I absolutely agree that when teaching taking your time is important. But what you say about UA-cam pushing out faster paced videos is very true and I am trying to find the best mix of providing value whilst still pleasing the UA-cam algo! :)
no one could have explained it better and in so simple terms... faboulous video and learnt a lot sir... thank you for your efforts and keep up the great work you are doing.
thanks so much for these tutorials. You're becoming my main guy for learning everything DR. Just picked up a speed editor and micro panel to step things up.
Your main guy for DR - wow, that's amazing praise!. Thanks a lot mate! :) Oh, two new toys to play with.. I'm jealous! Let me know how the speed editor and micropanels work for you. Keen to know! :) and thanks for watching! :)
I've used masks in so many different programs and have seen so many different tutorials for them used in different contexts. This was by far the best analogy I've ever seen lol
I came across your channel today. You explain things so clearly. Other channels have covered the same material, but they race through it so fast I can’t take it in. You don’t seem to assume anything about my level of knowledge. This is great for a noob like me. I’ve subscribed. Thanks.
I never found your videos in the search. But today while looking for some important task. I came across your video. I felt your teaching is simply very effective and easy to understand. Please continue this work. It will help new creators like me. Thank you so much
I have been doing this for quite some time... You sir are a very great instructor... even with the things i know you help me to understand, which i feel is ohh so important.. Please keep up the good work, Thank you
You sir are amazing. I'm typing this comment after watching your video for literally 30 seconds. Within those 30 seconds i have gained more understanding of masks than i have from 20 other videos in the past 2 hours!!! Excellent video. In fact i cant think of a word to express how truly delighted i am to have watched this video. Instant sub from me. You were perfectly concise , while elaborating on the point so we can actually understand WHY you do something in resolve , rather than just showing us. Thank you sooooo much. Now i have to continue watching all of your videos!
Notes for personal reference: TYPES OF MASKS - Fusion Masks - Power Windows (Color) - Qualifiers (Color) - tap on Highlight near the preview to isolate the qualifier area - Magic Masks (Color) - Studio Only; as an alternative, creating a polygonal mask and tracking it should still work fine (?) - Depth Maps (Edit/Color) - Studio Only
I found your presentation exceptionally good - so many of these videos jump in with little or no explanation of what is being done, you make it much more achievable
Greatly summed up keep making the videos as there are very less people educating the davinci you are on of my go to guys when it comes to learn davinci yes the pace of the tutorial is lovely.
You are an amazing teacher. Calm and step by step building the effect. This is how it should be done and I hope we will see many more tutorials from you.
I appreciate your video and the way you transfer knowledge. Your building block approach insures a comprehensive way to understand. Thanks you so much and I will eagerly search your site for more areas you cover.
Thank you. I'm a relatively new user of DaVinci, trying to get familiar with it to support my daughter who is doing film production at University. This is an excellent tutorial, It doesn't assume anyone understands the terms or how any of the functions work and you take the time to explain everything as you go along at a pace that doesn't require ten views of everything you say. Thank you again.
I am 79 year old and use Davinci Resolve Studio for about 5 month. Before I used Powerdirector and Vegas 17. I learned a lot from differtent YoyTube vids. But your Information and explanation is so Calm and Clear. Thank you Sir very much for that and I will be Back again.! Abrace.
THank you sir. I appreciate your feedback and I am glad that you enjoyed the video. And welcome to the world of Davinci Resolve. It's a fun place to be! :) And please don't forget to subscribe if you already haven't,
Thank you. Your pacing is a perfect match to my understanding what you are teaching. After watching a gazillion DR videos this is the first one that helps me really get it.
Thank you for being so intuitive, patient, and thorough. You help make learning fun for beginners and professionals. Life is a joy. Keep the spirit alive!
Hello ! This was a very good tutorial. No hysteric speaking. No hysteric music. Spot on in a calm way. Very well done. I subscribed and will for sure check your other tutorials. Thank you
I just wanted to express my deep gratitude for your incredible channel! Your detailed explanations of the science behind each tool and setting, as well as the clear rationale for every technique, have been game-changers for me. Thanks to your guidance, I now understand not just how to use the tools, but why each choice matters in achieving the final goal.
I like the way you present the big picture first then work towards the details of the subject. This approach makes the lesson easier to follow and more likely to be absorbed in long term memory. Your presentation is good considering that you don't use a prompter or lesson plan. I would recommend either of these for a more polished presentation that doesn't drag in spots. A prompter would also allow you to look directly at the camera and have a more personable feel to the viewer. I think you are an excellent instructor and look forward to your future lesson creations in Resolve. Good work !
I know the basics of masking but there was a little detail that I was trying to figure it out, and I couldn't find anywhere else, but in your video. Thank you sir! And congrats!
Very nicely done. Good. clear and well paced tutorial. Also very impressed that you have a light on your own video inlay that doesn't blow out the image :)
Hey.. Thank you very much. I'm glad you liked it. I realized that the Netflix video was too fast like you mentioned last time, and I went back to slowing things down and spending more time on explaining. Hopefully I find the correct rhythm. And yeah, the lights at the back is of very low wattage, so I guess that helps! :)
@@coffeebeanstudio It is a nicely balanced video. I already know use the tools mentioned but still found the video interesting. Seeing the approach to them from someone who actually knows what they are doing is very useful.
Absolutely a stellar presentation. Extraordinarily clear and easy to follow. I subscribed to your channel and thank you for producing this excellent video.
This is excellent, thank you. I’ve spent hours manually rotoscoping an object when I should have been using the qualifiers like you showed. Now I have some extra tools in my toolbox!
It is an excellent tutorial. Very depth in teaching and explanation. Above all that, I really appreciate for your patience to take this class almost half an hour. It was really helpful to me. My heartful thanks to you.
You have explained things in a way NO ONE ELSE has to this point of my learning path. Subscribed and Liked!!! Look forward to binge watching your videos.
