👉 For those asking why I don't track the mask, in this case, I don't recommend it because the shape of the column varies due to perspective, and it won't work well. We would still need to create keyframes to correct it: ua-cam.com/video/EPLmlo54kjs/v-deo.html (If your video has a simpler element to make the transition, you can track it.) 👉Here is a free DAVINCI RESOLVE course so you can continue learning how to create a lot of effects: ua-cam.com/video/CsDT-T6snfU/v-deo.html 👉And if you want more effects and transitions for your videos, I recommend these: 1.envato.market/DavinciResolve
Use planar tracker will save tons of time, instead of using keyframe and adjusting pen tool points. And planar tracker will work on free version of Davinici
With Planar Tracker, you will still need to create and readjust the keyframes. Planar Tracker will follow the movement of the column, but not its shape. You can see the example video in the pinned comment; the same thing will happen because the shape of the column changes due to perspective throughout the video.
Awesome, I've been waiting for someone to find and teach an easy way to do this with Magic Mask. I knew it was possible but I had not considered doing the 2nd layer cropping like you did, great work. Thank you!
Hello Vivek, many of the videos I use in the tutorials are not mine, they are stock videos. On the other hand, I prefer not to upload my videos for download, as there have been people who have stolen my content before. I recommend that in the tutorials you take the opportunity to try it with other videos.
Thanks for another great tutorial! 👍 Even though I have a studio version, I was thinking if there is a way to track the mask in the free version? Like create it in the fusion and connect to the point/planar tracker so that the select key frames are created automatically and then just refine the edges? Or is it too much headache? :)
The tracking could be done in the color module, there's no problem with that. In this case, you could track a small part of the column, then select the entire column with the mask, and finally adapt the mask in all the frames using keyframes. (But this takes more or less the same amount of work as doing it all manually.)
@@SergiomotaENG ok, thanks. What I meant is to track for example a point on the pillar, then draw a mask and link the mask to the tracking data to make it moving with the tracker
I imagine it's applicable to both (I'm only in free). But studio version does have magic mask to make life easier than manually masking, and probably some other features to make it easier
I would appreciate it if you produce more content. like this using the free version. I will buy the studio version in the future but now I'm using the free one, thank you

Imho I think in this example the planar tracker could have done the job good enough, still corrections can be made manually if needed. Still faster than going fully manually from the start.
Okay I guess you can´t use the normal tracker instead of the magic mask if you just have the free version. But why is that? I thought that´s the purpose if it.
Sure, you can do the tracking with masks, but in this case, I don't recommend it. The mask would become completely distorted when trying to follow the column because its shape changes with the perspective. That's why I manually adjust the shape in every frame to get it right.

that magic mask works like crap compared to rotobrush 3, idk how the hell he got such a clean go on his first stroke. i regret buying this shit so much!
Hi, rotoscoping is exactly this, manually tracing, frame by frame, the movements of a subject or element in a video. Maybe you're referring to MagicMask/Rotobrush? Which does it automatically.

excellent tutorials. Love your methods and voice overs are amazing. Thank you. I wish there was a way to use the same footage to practice.

Nice video thnx 4 the tutorial explained very well and at an awesome pace 🎉
I think fusion process is good ❤
Thanks, needed it, even though the free version is longer at least it's still there, appreciate you showing it😁👍
I salute you, sir!
I needed this 2 weeks ago!

Thanks for another great tutorial! 👍

Nice tutorial, thank you. The magic mask has to be inproved, I lose more time with the magic mask that with power window
what if ihave a color grade there ? how can i mask without affecting the other nodes?
Wouldn't it be possible to do the same thing in the fusion tab ?
Why does the audio disappear from the video when you import a really large file like a movie into the timeline?
Very nice
Thank you very much
Would love to see it on something a bit harder with speed ramps
Do you use AI to translate the video spanish to english version? Could you make a tutorial of it?
thanks
hey!! please make more DaVinci Resolve(free version) videos.
How to buy your video editing..? Plzz tell me
Great - listen can you create tutorial for some video ( i can send a link on mail ) or here - i cant understand how to do in davinchi resolve
Does anyone have similar specific examples videos that can be downloaded to try since the author cannot share his?

Does it not track points, like Mocha Pro? I’ve only seen people painfully move points manually.
Look the pinned comment. The same thing would happen with Mocha Pro.
Thanks. I’ve not seen a video yet on how to track points when rota scoping. I’m moving from Avid, can’t believe I’ve been using Avid for so long,.
why don't u just use tracker ?
