This brings me Battlestations: Pacific vibes. What an awesome game that was!
Good memories I feel like getting it again
looks way more complicated to me. Personaly thats a bit much for my enjoyment
That game was awesome and brings back great memories. Glad I wasn't the only one thinking this!
Mmmmm nostalgia
I liked midway better, pacific had a few things I liked more but Battlestations: Midway will always be my favorite.
I love how killerfish just decided "You know what? Atlantic Fleet on steroids" and I respect that so hard
I literally continue to play Atlantic Fleet! Not the lite eddition
Stealth, I think this is the game that will keep everyone's interest for at least a few weeks. Just a hunch.
Absolutely! I think this could be a good series!
You can control everything from submarine to cvs
Me: take my money dammit
@Ronan McDonald that's how its supposed to be
@Ronan McDonald yes I agree
@@armondalford140 have you played it? I did all the tutorials, which were fine, but the game itself is most definitely in progress and not complete.
Except you can't... can't launch planes and couldn't get his planes to rutn round... plus apparently if you want the planes to shoot at anything you have to manually fire EACH plane.
@@danielross7983 to be honest, planes should do their things automatically...
Pronounced Heb-Bra-Dees (Named after a region in The UK, thus the “New” moniker) You will probably want to use SBD Dive Bombers for Recon. Pilot and Radio Operator for spotting. They were the most commonly used Scouting aircraft for the fleet. You need your Wildcats for fleet protection and Bomber and Torpedo plane escort
It's Islands in Scotland, the inner and outer hebridies.
holy crap, finally. FINALLY killer fish released a new game. I have been waiting for this game forever. Thanks a lot for going over it stealth
I *think* the reason why that wildcat flight (at about the 30 min mark) wasn’t following orders was because Wildcat 6 was “trying” to join the flight but was stuck trying so, and the rest of the flight was flying straight until it joined (which it never did)
Seems like a great game! Would definitely like to see another episode.
lots of bugs especially in the Campaign. Wait before you buy it. Game freezes all the time I want to join an airplaine battle is one example.
This is pacific fleet ramastered but without the turn based style
@@ItalianMarine im not surprised the pacific fleet also have bugs
@@arifadammohdrafi8019 every game has bugs tho
When fighting enemy aircraft, you can do a formation wherein the entire fleet encircles the CV so that the enemy air would go through friendly flak first before bombing or torping the CV which is the biggest asset in WW2 naval warfare. That’s what they do before, idk if it works in this game. I hope it helps.
CVs are pretty useless in game at the moment
@@RenickRidingMoto Really? I’ve found them to be excellent. Started Japan campaign with Shoukaku and Zuikaku and some escorts and I’ve destroyed several fleets with just planes
You can kinda do that in game, but it needs a little micro. Certainly doable though and works quite well as the dispersed flak is less effective as you said
Who needs this?
Killerfish Games's 'Pacific Fleet' is still on the market!
Sure, it has a few less gameplay mechanics, but the graphics are the same and it lets you NUKE THE YAMATO.
Lol yeah that old game, wish there was more variety just like Atlantic fleet
Sounds interesting, might check it out
@@aureusknighstar2195 Frankly, Pacific Fleet is a step down from its sequel, Atlantic Fleet, which takes place in the Atlantic instead of the Pacific.
That said, they're both still enourmous fun and have free versions, so you might as well.
Technically the Yamato’s main guns are dual purpose, due to the beehive shells being capable of targeting planes.
I think you put 'targeting planes' instead of 'giving the aircraft a pretty fireworks display.' FTFY
@@steweygrrr those were the san shiki shells, that while intended for anti aircraft fire ended up used for shore bombardment. The yamato still had proximity fuses like most battleships.
Cold Waters Players: please fix and update plz
Killerfish: haha, new game money go brrrrr
Shoulda gone with NC's sister, she was the USN version of Warspite: beating the shit out of everything and everyone simply because she can.
USS Washington should have been preserved as a museum not scrapped
@@warlord8525 She shoulda, but the state of Washington felt that the space in Pudget sound was better used for actual active warships. Kinda sucky.
what did the Washington do?
@@puljudefender The Washington practically single-handedly sunk HIJMS (IJN) Kirishima, a Kongo class battlecruiser/battleship (depends on whether you consider her to be a true battleship seeing as she started life as a battlecruiser, I personally do consider her a battleship because of her extensive modifications).
It was at Guadalcanal, about two nights after the night cruiser action, and all throughout the land, not a thing was stirring, not even a Maus (please kill me). So, Kirishima, Atago and Takao (Takao class heavy cruisers), plus one light cruiser of WWI vintage and some destroyers were tasked with bombarding Henderson Field and delivering troops and supplies through the American Blockade. Well, the Americans had no ships left to protect it as the last of our cruisers had either fled, been sunk, or too heavily damaged to actually be useful (think getting your bow nearly torn off and one turret being stuck in train and elevation, plus your two inboard screws (propellers) being knocked off/ forced off the shaft and your rudder being jammed like the Bismarck's. That kind of too heavily damaged to fight). So what did we do? We got the last two escort battleships for our last (semi) operational carrier and the dd's with them and send them on the patrol. These two bb's were Washington and South Dakota. Washington, SD, and the four dd's with them sailed as fast as they could to Guadalcanal. They made it just in time to intercept Kirishima and crew.
Well, it doesn't go well for the dd's, with two being sunk immediately, one succumbing to damage the next day, and the third being heavily damaged and limping back to port. Not a great start.
Well, the Washington and SD have a job to do, so they're gonna do it. The Washington's crew is more experienced, so they know their ship better, plus the SD was kinda an expirement ship, so she had tons of new tech. Due to this, an electrician on the SD made a bad choice, throwing the electricity on the SD into a loop of working and not working, effectively making the SD a friendly fire hazard should the Washington encounter a Japanese task force. As SD and the W are going along, they come upon one of their DD's, burning in the water, putting off a huge amount of light. Whether by accident or on purpose, the SD goes on the side of the dd that will make the ship a big "SHOOT HERE!" sign if there should be any highly trained for night battle enemies around. So, naturally, there are. The SD gets lit up by Kirishima, Atago, and Takao. Luckily for the SD, her armor protects her, but she does take a lot of surface damage.
Washington, who had gone on the side of the DD that would not make her a big target, did not yet open fire because they couldn't contact the SD and feared hitting her on accident. Well, when the Japanese opened up on the SD, they knew they could light up anyone who wasn't the one ship being fired at. First, they trained their secondaries on Ayanami, a Japanese DD who was about to find out the hard way that the American 5"/38 caliber's did not take prisoners.
After demolishing the Ayanami (who got no more than one shot off at the Washington), the W turned to the rest of the enemy fleet. Focusing her mains on the largest ship she saw that wasn't the SD, she opened fire, completely catching the Japanese by surprise, who had been wholely focused on the SD and not paying attention to their surroundings. The Kirishima took hits within at least 2 salvoes, most likely the first, and it immediately showed. She burst into flame on the deck and the whole ship shuddered. The Japanese were now aware of the Washington.
The Kirishima turned her guns to the Washington and began to try and return fire, but in vain, as the Washington would cause the Kirishima to sink shortly. The Washington landed blow after blow, racking the Japanese ship with pain after pain, disabling her rudder, demolishing her bridge with the 5", setting blaze after blaze, but most importantly, landing many (actually, most) blows below the waterline, causing the Kirishima to take on water. In less than 3 minutes, the Washington would unleash 43 shells at the Kirishima, or 116k lbs of lead. That's just main batteries alone. The Washington also blasted away with her secondaries during the duel, firing countless numbers of shells. These were fairly accurate shots, too, as 1) Admiral "Ching" Lee had drilled the men of the Washington in gunnery, hour after hour, letting the men perform their jobs with little more excitement than it were a drill, and 2) the American radar, although still young and waiting for great improvements, was deadly accurate. The low estimate of hits on the Kirishima is 20, most under the waterline, with the high being... 43. Most likely somewhere in between.
Anyhoo, the two heavy cruisers with Kirishima, the Atago and Takao, presumably watching this one sided slaughter of a wolf in a coop of chickens, made ready to fire torpedoes, executed a 180° turn, fired torps during, and high-tailed it out of there as the Washington began attempting to show them her fury. The man in charge of stearing, who was probably a psycic or something, realized what the two heavy cruisers were doing amd executed a 90° turn of his own, turning the ship so hard that the Torpedoes (which would have hit, btw) detonated in the wake, thus saving the Washington the embarrassing fate of beating up DD's and BC/BB's and taking no damage, but taking major damage from some torps fired by panicked and retreating CA's.
There's a lot more she did, but I'm tired and just writ quite a bit, so I'll leave it here and bid you a fare day
@@johnzgamez810 what a badass ship thanks for the info on her
The Wildcats keep going straight and North Carolina is going around in circles XD
Saw this launched yesterday and first thought was when you would be playing it lol
I'll just write this here, cuz it's a new video.
I recently found your channel, and I just have to say, your way of creating content for your community is pretty amazing. This calm just-talking-about-your-thoughts is so relaxing.
In additation, the games you play are quiet enjoyable to watch. (At least for me)
So thanks for everything and please keep up the amazing work
Thanks Marius :). Welcome to my channel!
Great videos man keep up the good work
I am still on first minute of the video and I am already hyped for the game!
Operation Watchtower...and outside in the cold distance, a flight of Wildcats did growl; an Aichi recon sea-plane was approaching, and the flak cannons began to howl! (Jimi Hindrix's version of Watchtower would be awesome battle music...)
Yay thanks for playing
Wildcats really said "fuck work" and just went home
yooo today I started to play this game too and I wanted to it recommend to you, well-done stealth.
Great content. You are doing good. Will definitely come back for the next. Thumbs Up 👍
I'm excited for this series. I do believe that the battle was just a scout plane finding you, probably not good that the enemy knows exactly what you have and where now, oh well its going to be interesting.
I’m so glad you got the North Carolina, I went and saw that ship in person a while back
Just a few more tweaks, and the game would be absolute perfection. It feels unfinished but that why the devs want feedback, for the game to be improved for us to enjoy.
As for Fleet Combat in World War Two during the Pacific campaign, the ideal fleet is I belive 4 cruisers and 6 destroyers in a circular setup around the CV, keeping it safe and surrounded by Friendly Flak and Decreasing the chance of bombing runs or torpedo attacks success.
Don't take me as backseat gaming I just love history and was very excited to see this game come up on your channel!
YES, I was hoping for this!
I'm really excited you're playing this. I just picked it up yesterday.
How do you like it so far? After a few hours of play I have quite a few issues with the game.
@@Stealth17Gaming After all the training and a bit of campaign, I had to put it down. It feels too clunky and lacking. Hopefully they'll refine it soon
@@Stealth17Gaming It seems really cool but complex with the UI and lacking in some of the ships. I think it has a lot of potential and we're going to see DLCs in the future.
Watching your playthrough with interest. Starting recording my first episode tonight.
I've been looking forward to this game for so long. I loved playing pacific fleet and Atlantic fleet for mobile
Yeah it was great completed all campaigns with 3 star victories and it was great, though I found the pacific fleet was too short and DC was only 4 basic bars versus Atlantic fleets subsystem damage system
This reminds me of Victory at Sea. Also something like this is what I think is going to be the world meant for Ultimate Admiral Dreadnoughts
I hope the campaign looks something like this yeah
USS Enterprise, most combat Revered Aircraft carrier of the pacific fleet in world War two. She has an amazing history and her story is of legend. Nicknames off the top of my head include
Gray Lady
Lucky Number 6
And I belive a few others I cannot remember.
Good to see this game stealth! You have my full faith an Attention!
This is the sort of game that is probably too complicated for me to put much effort into, but I would totally watch every episode if you turn this into a series!
that was kinda anticlimatic start...but still totally hyped about new killerfish game
Wish Ultimate Admiral Dreadnoughts would get a campaign like this...
If only...
I like this a lot
If youre engaged in battle you sadly cannot launch any aircraft yet. So make sure you launch enough aircraft from the campaign map. Also you can remove waypoints by clicking on ship and manually set their course more to the left or right by A or D key, then all of your waypoints were restarted. It works on the planes too.
Small tip, i ussually switch on radar/sonar manually because AI doesnt do it properly even if you order them to do So. Also be carefull with torpedoes, because your ships dont have ai in them. That means if submarine launches any torpedoes towards your ships you will NOT get notified and your ships will not move from torpedoes path. Sonar dont work if youre sailing with 20+ speed. Works only if your destroyer move from 19 below.
Man I was just looking at screenshots from this game on discord and was wondering what it was, i got to youtube and this is the first thing in my reccomended lol
The North Carolina BB is a beautiful looking ship very advanced for its time I’m glad I live in the state the ship was named after
Wildcat 5 was stuck in a bug that is caused by changing attitude when the game is paused.
I thought Yamato's main guns WERE dual purpose. The Japanese created "Beehive" rounds (essentially 18" shotgun rounds) to take care of incoming aircraft. Obviously, they did not work well but Yamato and Musashi did have an anti aircraft functionality...
Came here to say that. Type 3 shell it was called or Sanshikidan.
Probably wanna make a box or a V formation and have the carrier in the middle protected by AAA. Also for the carrier task force, have a few planes scouting ahead, for they can easily detect the enemy.
This reminds me of a moderized version of PTO 2 Pacific Theatre Operations I was obsessed with that game
I can't wait to get off work to play this
Good job
Only 27 Cleveland class Light Cruisers were actually built. It's still the most numerous class of cruisers ever built. But they didn't reach the Pacific until 1943.
I played there first and second games like crazy killer fish is amazing
Main battery guns on Yamato could be used against aircraft via the Beehive round. So technically, they're dual-purpose.
fun fact stealth, those float planes are submarine lauched
Bought this as soon as I found outside it existed. Although its missing some things , this is as close as I'm gonna get to a modern version of 1942: The Pacific Air War, one of the best WWII naval and aviation sims ever (which coincidentally is also available on Steam)
Also slightly late and probably already answered, if you have things getting stuck following way points or whatever, like those Wildcats were, if you take control of the unit leader (if they are grouped) and manually change the course by using the rudder then reissue an order it should get them to do what you want. Manually adjusting course cancels any previous move orders.
I like it, please more
7 mins in, why does this remind me of the Battlestations series but you turned it into a strategy game. OOOO, real time battles, NICE.
that plane probably came from an enemy cruiser. They also have some that launch from subs.
I NEVER clicked on a video so fast!
the models of the ships are incredible, the campaign is similar to victory at sea? and i supose that it will be more campaigns in the future? thanks
Guess Killerfish has already sold me on this game I'm willing to give it a shot since they did an amazing job with cold waters ^~^
Omg Killerfish! Never played Cold Waters but I did play Atlantic Fleet.
Atlantic fleet remake would be EPICK
@@kingtigerinturkeyvol2620 yes it would be lol

hearing a Dutchman say that defending the Enterprise is a matter of honor brings a tear to my imperialist eye :')
Grew up watching Star Trek The Next Generation. The Enterprise always comes first.
It will be nice to make again some content with this game :D
When engaging enemy aircraft, turn on the AA radar that the NC was famous for. -_-
Initial comment on fleet layout, because subs are a thing, you should have a DD as the lead ship, one as the tail, and one directly in the middle so as to react to any surprise attacks.
Killerfish also made Pacific Fleet and Atlantic Fleet
I wish someone would remake Enigma: Rising Tide, if anyone remembers that game
looking forward to when i get enough money to get this game, it's fairly expensive where I am. What was the price, 30 dollars? That's almost 1.5k here.
The 1st Marine Division was landing on Guadalcanal on 7 August was it not? The Marine Para force along with Edson's Raiders were slugging it out on Tulagi from 7-9 August.
Hey stealth, I dont know if this will help but have you tried sending aircraft to land on the carrier? They might not come with aircraft on board already.
They come with aircraft alright, but as it is right now you just can't launch aircraft after the start of a battle. I hope they change it.
Almost looks like a Remake of an awsome but old game called Pacific Storm Allies from 2007 still on steam very buggy and ambitious but the ability to use every unit in game, fire battleship guns, do research including the Atom bomb was amazing for the time. I am Very interested to see how this game comes along. :)
Promising
Nobody I've seen playing this game does the right thing upon unexpected contact (encounter). IMMEDIATELY and RADICALLY change course and speed in case it's a sub contact working out a torpedo firing solution on you. Even if that means losing aircraft already aloft. It's easier to replace planes and pilots than it is a carrier or other major warship. The hard calculus of war.
This reminds me of
battle stations pacific
Hoi Stealth, cool game dat. Do you happen to know Pacific Storm: Allies? Grand strategy realtime with 3D-battles? You even get to control your units in "first person" if you so wish.
It's a bit old tho.^^
This does a bit of that too. Not as detailed as controlling a gun as Pacific Storm: Allies, but I see the resemblance.
@@Stealth17Gaming Yeah, right? My first thought tbh.
I think this is Killerfishes attempt to be a competitor of Evil Twin Artworks Victory At Sea series?
i have the game too. i stopped playing because it was so buggy it really annoyed me XD hope the game is more stable now.
Reminds me of pacific storm. Heres to hoping its more stable than that.
No Colorado class bbs. Grrr were the ww1 bbs at dam it
Very interested in this game. Looks too infuriating for me to play myself though.
If only this came out before i spent all my money
do you hope the campaign in ultimate admiral dreadnaught will be similiar as this? Or would you like to see it similiar towards a different game. I think something like this on a bigger scale would do good for the game
Yeah if it looks like this then that would be great.
@@Stealth17Gaming can't wait to see more official info about the game. And also the next engagement video for this game
Looks pretty decent (that wildcat squadron tho) maybe I'll get it when it comes to mobile
There's no way it's coming to mobile

Type 3 AA shell, wich is unique to the Japanese: Am I a joke ti you??
They were shit rounds, its thought one of those rounds may have damaged Musashi.
It is a pretty looking game but I think I would get overwhelmed with the amount of buttons and micromanaging
Did you need to load planes on board the CVs before disembarking? Else you have an empty aircraft carrier with no aircraft..
No. They just need to be rearmed after they're destroyed.
The game says its version 1.0 but the UI doesn't reflect that
Very similar to Victory at Sea Pacific
Gonna be watching your series of this to decide whether I should buy it. Currently the views on the game are very mixed, some praising it but the critiques is that is very buggy and poor UI design
I had a bit of a clash with the UI as well in this vid. I hope it's just me.
@@Stealth17Gaming just watch the whole video, controling aircraft looks like a nightmare, the UI does not help at all

YES YES YES BATTLESTATIONS PACIFIC 2
I might have figured out which game type Stealth likes...
I came on Ships but yeah

Map filters bottom right corner. Might make it easier to select overlapping map icons.
There was no enemy ships stealth it was only the scout plane if there was it would have shown up as a ship icon when you first engaged
yes more
Btw killerfish game make ssome good ww2 ship games ive been playing thier mobile game and damn i love those battleship games created by killerfish
So
War of the sea is basicly a recreation of pacific fleet
And Atlantic Fleet is the germany vs british
Quite an interesting game. Quite buggy, but hey they might just fix those soon
