About the Mod
Is a new Standalone Map and Mod centering around ABDACOM in the defense of the Dutch East Indies in early 1942
Allied American, Britain, Dutch and Australian forces banded together to defend Java and the surroundings.
The Mod will incorporate a number of new ships and a brand new map and campaign of the Dutch East Indies - The ABDACOM Defensive.
About The Game
The Japanese Empire expands throughout the Pacific where Allied forces attempt to halt its spread. A desperate struggle for control of the Solomon Islands is now underway.
How will you protect your transports as they deliver troops and supplies in the South Pacific? Will you deploy precious aircraft carriers to provide air cover? Do you screen the area with submarines? Or attempt to lure the enemy navy into a decisive surface engagement? - Ігри

The Japanese Campaign was the one that brought me in. This game deserves more attention and love, it's so fuckin' good!
I want to hope that the Hudson pilot in that first attack was posthumously given a promotion and medal for taking down a light carrier as he went down. So glad to see some more WotS content.
It was a light cruiser, and it was pretty old. Hopefully the morale boost from the sinking will help the rest of the campaign, because the losses probably weren't justified for that ship.

8:03 I had a Catalina get shot down in my campaign with its 4 1000lb SAP bombs aboard. It slammed into the side of the carrier and all 4 bombs went off. Her magazine blew up a minute later and I got the carrier

The Java Sea campaign is as fascinating as it is forgotten in that whirlwind of defeats in the first six months of the Pacific theater. Obviously you won’t have the same handicaps ABDA did irl but this should still be a challenge.
The best campaign is the entire American Pacific Campaign.
Wolfpack345: minimizes surface engagements and deftly uses air power to inflict crippling damage.

already happened :( PoW and Repulse were sunk before feb 1st which is unfortunate
The mod is pretty fun and certainly shakes up the gameplay a bit. The new resupply system for aircraft is nice. The mod allow you to get Prince of Wales and Repulse and I plan too. I will try my best not to get them sunk! :D

As an Indonesian this series is certainly a good news! The battle of DEI is often overlooked but in my opinion it has a lot of impact for the japanese strength boost. Can't wait to watch more episodes!
If I recall correctly the torpedo planes the Brits actually had at Singapore were even more ancient than the Swordfish. They were Vickers Wildebeests.

Leaving a comment here on Ep. 1 to boost the series and the channel. Great stuff, just two things though- don't forget that the Australians were part of ABDACOM (it wasn't just American, British, and Dutch forces), and Malaya was invaded *before* Pearl Harbor was attacked, not after. Loving your content Wolfpack. Can't wait to see where it goes in the future.

I'm really excited to watch you play this one out! I love seeing the involvement sometimes of smaller countries (like my own Australia!) play out in media whether it's War on the Sea or a movie.
I'd love for you to keep the Aussies on HMAS Perth alive but if you can't... well at least you're playing historically

@@mikhailiagacesa3406 Those subs had more tubes than a good number of cruisers. Not hard to believe they fought well above their weight. They also sank 2 U-boats in the war that I'm aware of, one all the way out there in the Indian ocean.

@@mikhailiagacesa3406 Ok looking back that it worded really weird. I just meant a sub with that many torpedoes in a salvo can find itself doing a ton of damage very quickly. A good number of cruisers had less tubes than that.

Koepang city is pronounce "KUPANG"
and other city in Java you can pronounce it like reading Japanese words :) other city with "OE" is pronounced "U" like "Soerabaya" is "Surabaya"

The Swordfish struck one of the most important blows of WWII. A single hit from a Swordfish torp bomber jammed the rudder of the mighty Bismark and rendered it unsteerable. The British task group showed up the next morning and sank her. Not bad for a relic.
Back when War on the Sea first came out, I watched you and Tortugapower do playthroughs of it. In every single episode of Tortuga’s playthrough, I posted a “Journal Entry” from Adrian Dunois, a fictional pilot assigned to VB-6. I had a ton of fun writing and posting them, and I hope it’s alright with you if I do the same thing here.

It’s only been a mere few months since the Japanese attacked pearl harbor, but I’m already thousands of miles away from home. As I write this entry, the ship I’m on is sailing towards the Dutch East Indies. A series of islands under assault by the expanding Imperial Japan. Our small collection of ships, designated “Task Force A,” comprises men and ships from Britain, Australia, the Netherlands, New Zealand and the USA. Despite my request for assignment for carrier duties, I found myself flying floatplanes instead. Now I am assigned to Cruiser Scouting Squadron 4, on board the USS Houston. We have four planes here, so that makes 8 members of the flight group. I’ve gotten to know the guys decently well on the trip, and we are all feeling a strange mix of eagerness and dread. One thing is for certain: our lives are about to get a whole lot more interesting.

The swordfish biplane is up there with the spitfire and Lancaster, especially with its history with the Bismarck

So, i love your war on the sea playthroughs. The reason i bought the game actually. At first i was very critical of it, my go to Navy game is Silent Hunter 4. I enjoy playing it. Even though i haven't ever played the Tokyo Express i've watched your run of both sides twice now. Im happy to see a new campaign and you at the helm!

The one small silver lining with those Buffalos is that at least the UK export model was based on an F2A-2, not the nose heavy flying brick that was the F2A-3!

Nice to see you playing this again. I would suggest level bombing stem to stern instead of broadside. It will better your chances of multiple hits.

The Hawker Hurricanes are Mark 2c versions. Packing four 20mm cannons and top speed of 330 mph. Those 20 mm can do moderate damage to unarmoured shipping. Zeroes are fast but not agile the Hurricane are better. But the Buffaloes are not fast but sturdy - hmm ! Quite the engagement.
Finally! I dowloaded the pacific mod too but I was waiting to see your playthrough first my good man!
Were you able to get the campaign map to and tactical map to line up correctly, i wasnt able to even with the extra file mentioned

I think you need to give each plane a target then do a break and attack order let each plane attack a ship individually to get a better chance for hits on a ship instead of group bombings let them each work alone on a target for more hits.
