That's really lazy, all they had to do was look up what classes of German destroyers fought in the Mediterranean
@@billclarke5916 I know that why I said bull that and it’s to make up for the German destroyers not having duel purposes AA gun on most small ships that and in total there where 40 German destroyers during ww2 the British alone had 184 during the wars beginning. But it’s probably just balance because people forget that as a navy Germany wasn’t that great

Watching that destroyer get absolutely annihilated by the Lancasters was hilarious.

19:42 I want to maybe help remedy why you may be seeing misinformation when it comes to ships.
In a past update, they changed the recon mechanic a bit. Instead of the game showing exactly what is in a task force, it will rather give you a rough guess of what is in a task force. In this case, it is using a different ship icon. Which is interesting.

Not entirely a fan of the ships that don't exist but it's still interesting.
German cruiser and destroyer shouldn't be in the med
Historically speaking ur correct but the Axis side has access to both Italian and German ships so it can't be helped

Great to see representation of our RAN boys in war on the sea! We played a pivotal role in North Africa and the Mediterranean during ww2. That was why we where so susseptible to Japanese attack in 1942, we had our whole military fighting in the Med! Great video and I definitley look forward to watching the rest of the series! I'll sub to stay in the loop ❤

Cool Video, I dislike though that this mod has the Gearing Class Destroyer in the German Navy, in which none were given to the germans until after WW2 for the formation of the new navy. (I Also dislike North Africa not being under Vichy France but that can be given a pass)
Me too, kinda breaks the immersion but I dont wanna complain since the mod was just recently released and its a 1 man modding team.

Kent is a County class heavy cruisers. The WWII era Town class were all light cruisers, (exemplified by HMS Belfast which was a Edinborough subclass of the Towns)
I noticed near the end of the vid.... The Germans have access to a US destroyer? O.o (Gearings were a late war US destroyer)

Question: you can play also on the Italian side? With Italian ships of the Regia Marina?
Unfortunately not, the only time you can play the Axis side is with the Battle of the Atlantic campaign- however I believe someone is working on a much more historically accurate version of the Mediterranean campaign in which you can play both sides

Yeah I think those are Wyverns, I think its just a mistake/placeholder on the modder's end

Gibraltar and Alexandria make much more sense as your home bases btw. Malta was the historic home port of the Mediterranean Fleet from its formation through to WWI, true, but they moved to Alexandria during the Abyssinian Crisis in the late 30s to get beyond the range of Italian strike aircraft, and spent virtually all of WWII based there.
huh interesting, I didn't know that!
And yet the Italian Fascist regime never bombarded it.
That was one of the main mistakes of the fascists during the war.

hello. if you sea ship icons on the map you can figure out what it should be. if it is very fast it is a naval task force with destroyers and perhaps heavy and light cruisers. sometimes a battleship if it has enough maximum speed. if it is only fast it is a submarine in most cases.

It was just recently released so they're is alot of bugs, but its alot of fun I'd recommend it

Don’t rely on auto attack with air attacks.. manual is the way to go, you’ll find yourself managing too much as well so have them circle at a safe distance as you use a few to strike individual targets.
Auto Air attacks aren't nearly as fun either :/

@@TrenchFry TY tried the mod but it crashes too much to be fun. attacking ships that are already damaged sometimes cause this. and it seems to be the LLb-17s that do it the most

2:11 Largly due to the fact that the Royal navy sank it. Not one of our finest moments, attacking our defeated ally to make sure the axis couldn't get hold of their ships.
