@@doot7310 Personally, I would love for them to add Vector functions/layers in Dreams. It would unlock huge potential in the app. I know Toonsquid already has Vector functions, but it's not as easy to pick up as Dreams was for me (Seriously, it was very simple for me to understand just from the Keynote alone).
My favorite path tip: drawing the actual path on its own track. And then the whole video! Great teaching method. I have to remind myself that this just the mechanics of animation. First comes ideas, a story notion, which or what the whole of story. 41:17 Underpaint class waiting list, first class roster filled (2024/03).

34:54 this can be also done by duplicating the fill group and then in draw mode clearing each frame with three finger scrubbing motion,, you don't have to deal with the frame time adjustment,, i think it's quicker this way

Thank you 🙏✌
This is absolutely amazing tutorial, on another tut I learned you can export your frames with a transparent background into After Effects....Such a powerful software.
I have this problem with the Procreate Dreams, that I can’t export files that are partly transparent. I’ve been meaning to use my animation in some part of my video. the video is long, about 20 minutes I guess, and the editing process is not finished so I can’t actually put the video in Procreate Dreams and animated on top of it. Also there’s one more problem with the brushes. Whenever you zoom out and you draw something after zooming into the drawing, the brush is kind of pixily and have a very low quality…. It doesn’t happen in Procreate itself. so whenever I want to draw, I have to make sure that I zoom in and draw whatever that I want to draw so that the quality stay high.
found a tutorial for exporting transparency ua-cam.com/video/nx1J1-tsz2Q/v-deo.htmlsi=WIKhlN7dgRnQYA01 . havent observed the brush issue on my end but ill try it out and see what happens
I’m new to animation and found this video to be very helpful and informative. Just a quick question. Is there a reason to choose manually expanding a drawing or drawings over using the “Fill duration” option on the menu you get when long pressing a selected drawing? Thanks for your time and for sharing your expertise.
i have a problem with the performance mode tutorial at around 14:20, when recording the rapid bouncing movement my end result is a very slow up and down movement instead 🥲🥲🥲 (it doesnt bounce like the way i jiggled with my pen) is there any help for this case?
no problem after u hit the record thingy go up top right and click "modify" and adjust the "motion filtering" value. lower value will be literal to what you perform, higher value will smooth stuff out. I generally use 9-10%, but try it out and see what works for you.
Hello. How did you select all the parts when you switched to motion mode? I could only select the drawing timeline. Not all parts are selected at the same time, so painting and drawing do not move at the same time.
Man you are so good at explaining I don't have a Ipad but I do have a Galaxy Tab, I wosh you could make a tutorial for Android with Clip Studio Paint or HiPaint or something ❤❤ this was a fun watch tho!
When I upload a file of a drawing that I wanna animate from procreate to procreate dreams i can’t get the guideline for my next frames and see a random colored box covering the drawing from the last frame anyone know what the issue is or how to fix this
Hi, I have made multiple layers and when I try to manipulate or move just one it moves all my layers together and they aren’t grouped. How do I just move the one layer please?
Is this the best Procreate Dreams tutorial or what !! Great Job man! Just a small question, you kinda avoid using the layers in the drawing mode, any advice on that part? why would someone use it? we are clearly depending on tracks to layer our animation though..
tracks are just kinda like reimagined layers for the purposes of animating in dreams. you can still use "layers" if you want, you'll just eventually want to long hold on your "content" in the timeline and select "convert layers to tracks" at some point to get the full functionality of the timeline. however this approach is clunky because each frame will be a group with multiple tracks and multiple "content"s inside, which is why i dont use layers in the first place when working in dreams
Pretty please can you do more tutorials w dreams?? 🥺🥺🥺 for the first time Im not confused and actually understand and even do a lil animation. I would like to buy your class. can we ever buy it or its over forever? I really dont understand much of it
Hey dude, have you ever thought doing your work in Toon Boom? Im learning frame by frame and heard that Toon Boom is much better and capable than Animate and it is industry standard
This video is way more helpful than all those shitty ones you’ll find on youtube. I wonder how you work with backgrounds. For example the animation at the very end. Do you draw larger scale backgrounds in procreate first and then import them into dreams? Move and scale them around during? I find it hard to understand. Anyway you just gained a follower.
youve got it exactly right! thats what i do but i put the layers in a group, and then into another group and then another so that each group can animate one thing individually: for instance the topmost group animates scale and position, the next group down animates "camera drift", the final group animates camera shake. something like that!
Maybe it’s a very silly question since I don’t know anything about it. I just want to make animated stickers . Is it useful for this? Please answer my question. My English isn’t working right now. Im Mexican 😊
Pretty good tutorial, but under my point of view I'm still disappointed with Procreate Dreams, finding easier to animate in better way within just Procreate, Dreams miss yet a lot of basic options and it is painful to manipulate and draw traditionally on the flip book
