The song that made me want to pick up an electric guitar! The Band doing a version of this with Ronnie Hawkins during "The Last Waltz" concert is unreal. Thanks Marty!
I appreciate that you frequently use very attainable gear in your videos. It shows people that you don't need Gibsons and high end tube amps to have great tone. Great video!
Sometime in your early life, you ate a fortune cookie with a message that read, "You will inspire many." But you probably ate more cookies so you don't remember. 😊
1st song I learned how to play on electric guitar! Mostly one chord "E5, with an occasional A, but teaches rhythm, hammer on's, palm muting, simple lead. You sound great after 5 minutes. The E to A switch comes in handy later on when you learn bar chords. Practice that E to A a thousand times, practice in the dark, so that your fingers go there automatically. First song I teach people. I use my ring finger on the 2nd fret for the A. Practice that drop down E to A.
Hi Marty! This song reminds me of my dad. He loved Ronnie Hawkins. He got a big concert poster autographed from Ronnie. Loved Bo Diddley, The Band. My personal favorite was The Doors. Grateful Dead Not Fade Away rocks too. Thank you Marty! ✌
Thanks for this Marty! I love this song, I learned how to play it thanks to you! I use a Peavey J-F 1, and it's so perfect for this. And it's good to see you use an Epi - just proves that Epi's are good guitars.
Marty I hope I get this right you rock that 335 😂 so there was a top list of hollow body players I commented that you should have got a honorary mention😊
Hey Sir can you please make a detailed guitar lesson on Thirty Seconds to Mars - The Kill.Of course please show the lesson on acoustic guitar. Its very pleasing to hear. Please sir make the lesson as soon as possible.I just love the acoustic version of this song.
Looks alot easier rn to play than it is lol i wish I knew where to start learning rather than getting one minor breakthrough every few weeks after watching countless hours of otherpeoplw playing and tutorials it's wild starting to think that my brain just can't actually process any of it

Me too! I played along with that album and Ronnie and The Band until the vinyl turned white and they threatened to throw me out of the dorm!

Sometimes the simpelist arrangement is the best, just make it expressive and the music does the talking.
