When I was young getting in and out of the buggy was no problem. But now would be a whole different story. You need a color highly visible on sand…orange maybe?
You have a group of wires on the right rear that are all the same color ------ I think that shade of color would be nice ----- Would go good with the color of your wheels ----- Question here ------- those rear street tires going to work in the sands? Not very much traction ------ with the floor being of expanded metal ---- do you think sand and dirt will come up through it and get onto your face -- eyes and breathing the dust -- especially when turning kicking it all up ----- verses a solid floor? ------- Anxious to hear what you have to say about how she performs when you take her out on her maiden run ----- IT'S ---- something one made from scratch ------- CAN'T wait to finish it and give it a try -----Years ago ------ I took a Honda Odessey --- one of those four-wheel off-road vehicles ----- took a Honda 350 four cylinder motor bike engine ---- made clutch and throttle setup --- and made the four into one Stinger exhaust on the back ----- remember getting so excited about getting it going when getting closer to finishing it --- could hardly wait -------- Anyway ---- She looks Good -------- You and your new friend have a Good Easter too ----- Rodney
Courageous! …for the name. I would use an accent color off of your camper to paint it. That way it would look pretty cool when you double ball into the mountains again when it gets hot.
Before color, I would definitely use a decent epoxy primer on all the new bare metal cage, grey, then topcoat with silver, grey or even rust-oleum aluminum. Epoxy primer though not cheap is the absolute best stuff to use on bare metal and with the topcoat colors I mentioned, the inevitable chips and scratches will not be so obvious as the epoxy primer is almost indestructible. That’s what I would do.
Hey Gary, On my 63 Beetle, I've been experimenting with wheel colour. I went with a darker copper with a satin clear. It's gunna look cool. For me, the jury is still out on a frame colour, but you could use roll cage pad protection for where you get in and above your head. Enjoy your burrito ✌️ peace from Melbourne Australia. 3810.😅
Haha, I bet your burrito was better than the ones I made 😂 I love how the rail is turning out. I’ll drop some suggestions for ya. Paint it anything but red. I kinda like the color of that rim you painted. Since this rail is like a little brother to your other rail, call it the “lil burrito” Keep up the great work!
Hey EZGZ..I love the quarter idea on the shift knob. I have a 1964 beetle and have a 1964 nickel epoxied on the dash between the headlight and wiper switches. When cleaning up the interior I found it under the reassert, so thought it was fitting it stayed with the car. I think the new car would look very good red with the wheels the gold that you have...but not sure on a name lol. I don't usually comment very much but loving the new build and resurge of videos. Enjoy your burrito!!!!
Love the rail and all the videos !! Personally I would paint it Candy Lime Green or Candy Tangerine, it might get rock chips and trail damage but the color would sure pop !!
Hello, I really enjoy your channel for the useful information and the passion you have for the VW's. I have a suggestion for a name ( LOST & FOUND ) being you used parts you may not have seen in while or didn't even realize you had.😂😂 As far as color maybe burnt orange.
Name, Cash, Short for Jonny Cash, A little bit of everything. Looking good Ez, great work.
I really like the copper color of the rear wheels. Paint the gas tank an American flag and call it the GZ Rider.✌️
Tribute (Black) same as profile photo👍👍👍
I like the GM color Rapid Blue.
Call it HENDRIX because like Jimmy you took what you had and made it work the unconventional way!
Nice work.
How about red and yellow and call it speed buggy. Man I wish I had your talent!!!!!
Paint it a deep Purple. It's not the every day, everyone, color.
Black with copper accents.
I like "Burrito" for the name too. Paint color should be Tan to match.
When I was young getting in and out of the buggy was no problem. But now would be a whole different story.

Hey how about green with copper wheels and call it the grasshopper

I'll be interested to see what you come up with, I never repainted my wheels when i repainted my buggy because I couldn't make up my mind.

I would suggest yellow, for color.
I would love to see it painted orange that would make it pop. That coin is neat. Maybe "Burrito" could be the name.

Where did you get the rear wheels?
They came on a car I bought back in the 90's .
