- What started out to be a car to test transmissions rekindled old sand rail memories. So why not go for the Gold and build a car that can do it all....
It's be so fun and magical having you all along for this journey. A little over a year ago I was in dire straights looking at having heart surgery and now I'm back in the mist of all the people who I love and love me back. Thank you all so much for your friendship and support. - Авто та транспорт
Looks like! Nice view from from yard. Yep, here comes the bugs lol
Very cool. I need two swing arm transmissions for my pair of '68 beetles.
Love the pupper napping in the sunshine.🙂
Nice to see you healthy !!!
👍
Wow, I guessed 945lbs without you in it from the last video. I’d say that was super close lol
Yes sir, spring time means yes work and all that stuff before it gets too hot outside.
I’m debating changing out some gears in my trans in the Sickxty as it’s good in almost all applications minus it lugs a little when towing the camp trailer.
Have a local friend who’s going to help me out, just need to do some research on gears for the stack.
You might want to consider 2:48 3rd and a 1:04 fourth. A used Gene Berg five speed would be best of both worlds
@@TheEZGZ definitely thinking about a 1.04 4th. The other gears all seem to be good with and without the trailer. Kinda wouldn’t mind changing 1st from 3.80 to something a little more then I could use the 2.48 for 2nd.
Currently have 3.80, 2.06, 1.26, 0.89 with a 4.37 RP.
A 5 speed would be the best of both worlds but the cost is much more than I could do.
You two guys are my hero's .Keep videos coming Sirs .Hello from Kentucky
Wow.
Yes, that was my guess!!
My goodness Bud!!! If I lived closer I’d be trying to buy it 😁 you are very talented!! Love it!!
Maybe one day!
The buggy looks great and light as a feather. Less weight is like adding hp
I'm at about 9 to 1 ratio and shooting for 7 to 1
G'day Mr EZGZ,
I was a little light on guessing the weight.
But I'm loving the build. Your talents are just amazing.
So thanks for sharing man ✌️ Peace from Melbourne Australia.
Thank You so much I am humbled....
Hello 👋 I will learn more from you 😊 Thanks
Stay connected
@@TheEZGZ Hello 👋 A very close friend 🙏🏻 (Kev) Used to say don’t look too close, I built it out of vw parts from around the shop👍
Thanks again Sir. Memories 🥹. Saved me more than once in our desert adventures !❤️.
VWs on the Green is on May 19. Clement Park 8-2.
Thanks. Thinking about taking a car. Just for giggles
@@TheEZGZ I would drive the Ghia, but it's in KC. I don't think I'll be able to get there and back before mid-may.
Nice EZ, I was close it was around 100 to 200 pounds lighter than I thought, even better 👍 hoping you'll put out a really good rebuild video, I need to build a freeway flyer soon , swingaxel transaxle 👍
I'll try
Haha you are holding some serious inventory right now😂😂
Most of probably broken taking up space. Going to get into that one day..... the day has arrived....
I feel better now about owning 7 transaxles 😂
I feel your pain
Looks great. I may have missed it in one of the earlier videos, but what kind of seats are you using?
Beard suspension seats
Wow, 1100lbs = 498.9 kgs, that is a light buggy 👍👍👍
950 lbs. 432 kg.
Even better 👌
Indeed :-)
Actually, Desert racing is getting away from swing axles. IRS tracks straighter, more travel, and parts are easier to come by. Nobody runs a swinger in a class 11 these days.
Even the class 9 guys are starting to change the rules.
I was curious as to if you still had the SPG flywheel, i have a SPG stroker crank that i want to build. I was wondering if you still had it, would you sell it and if so, how much? I will be putting it in front of a 3 rib bus trans axle. And all of that in my sand rail. Any ways, thank you for all the info you put out to all of us....
Yes I still have it. Just saw it the other day where are you located? I’m in Loveland Colorado
I'm in West Jordan ut, I would be interested in a couple transaxles too.
really nice sand rail are you going to make it street legal?
Not sure yet. Colorado OHV laws suck
