LANDING & TAKE-OFF Dortmund Airport (DTM/EDLW) Boeing 737-800 Cockpit View [4K]

This video shows a landing & take-off with a Boeing 737-800 at Dortmund Airport (DTM/EDLW) in Germany. The airport has a very short runway for airline operations and the landing performance can be limiting depending on the actual weather conditions. The Landing Distance Available (LDA) is 1700m for runway 06. Landing in Dortmund in our company is a CAPTAINS ONLY landing and we always have to use a minimum Auto brake 3 setting and FLAPS40 to land. On sunny days like this there can be a lot of VFR traffic around as well.

Thank you very much! It's because of the limitations we have for DTM and the fact that sometimes the landing performance calculations are close to the B737 landing performance limits. I hope to land here one day 😄

That little paper at the middle MFDs, is that an Ryanair-specific thing? I see that on Ryanair-planes mostly...

It’s our Load Instruction Document (LID). The dispatcher completes this, we check it and do our mass and balance/performance calculations with it. After that we fold it to this tiny paper because it has a box on it where we put our callsign as a reminder. That’s why it is placed in that position so we can both see it.
