Almost forgot, thank you to your partner in the left seat and especially your airline for allowing you to do such a great production. The lighted prompts are really good.
Hi Michelle, As a humble private pilot I always love watching your uploads as nothing better than watching someone doing what they love for a living and also setting a good example for others on how to behave in the cockpit. Well done young lady. ✈️🇦🇺

For many years I worked in jobs which, one for sure (Special Forces) denied women entry. I then became a paramedic and it was about five years later that they opened the job to women. That would have been the best change they ever made because I got to work with so many capable and competent women. This is also why I enjoy your videos so much.

Hii Michelle! ❤ Added another great feature to your production with this new camera angle. Guess we'll soon gonna see a 360 degree cockpit view and runway view from top, come into your production! You have an amazing weekend as well Michelle!
I actually have the 360 degree camera and used it a couple of times but have troubles with editing the footage! If you have any suggestions, just let me know haha!

I have just watched your video for the first time and found it absolutely fascinating. One of your comments says a beautiful video but of course it is you that makes it that way. Look forward to seeing more.
Fun to see what it takes to fly, Michelle. We passengers never get a look from the pilots seat. I bet there's not nearly as many women pilots. Good on ya for following your passion. Is your flying schedule busy? Do yo get good amounts of free time?

Beautiful take-off Michelle!! And yes, it is more fun to "fly" the airplane (not on autopilot). You make it look easy, even with a large right to left crosswind.
Another fantastic video upload. Very interesting this one as it shows the full take off procedure from push back. A lot of things to remember, thanks heavens for the checklists.
To your question on altimeter settings: You use the the Kollsman window to ensure adequate vertical separation from terrain anomalies and other obstacles.

Another engaging video. I learn’t that the throttle settings are controlled by the Pilot Monitoring, for some reason I thought it was the Pilot Flying was tasked with it. Is the procedure standard or varies from airline to airline? Thank you Michelle. Happy Flying.
This video was more than incredible! Congrats!! How were you triming the aircraft without touching the trim burrons on the yoke? I mean, in the Airbus we don't the trim the aircraft manually, but that's because it has auto trim. The 737 doesn't
I've only seen a few of your videos, but I enjoy 'em. I do have a couple of questions, though. Is it usual for the first officer to fly the airplane instead of the captain. And are you going to become a captain one of these days? 🙂 8:41 And what is that thing on the right side of the throttle levers that goes around with a clacking, grinding noise?
The roles are usually changing with each leg. Meaning one pilot flies the first leg and the other pilot the second leg. It is the stabilizer trim wheel :)
The question about the Transition Altitude/Level: Air pressure changes permanently due to weather conditions (temperature, meteorologic Highs and Lows, etc), so you set the altimeter to the local pressure at the airport to have the real (and correct) altitude displayed. But in airspace, ATC has to separate all flights (security distances etc.) and therefore everyone needs the same base for the altitude display. To achieve this, every plane sets the altimeter to ISA Standard (=1013 hPa) at the transition altitude. So if ATC tells one flight to use FL210 and another to use FL230, they both may don't fly on that altitude in the current real air pressure, but (and that's important): There are definitely 2.000 feet between the two planes. It's called the Transition Altitude (TA) when climbing (from ground to the airspaces), because until you cross it, you measure the 'altitude' in feet. After the TA, you use 'flightlevel' (FL) for altitude concerns. Other way round, leaving the airspace and descending for landing, you have to switch to the local pressure when crossing the Transition Level (TL) at latest. Normally ATC gives you early the QNH in descent or has a range within everybody has to switch to the local pressure to assure, that below the TL everybody uses the same measurement base again (and due to obstacles and airfield elevation, it has to be the local pressure. Else you fly way too low or high due to a false measurement base - and that's not a good thing when closer to the ground.)
What a great video always like take offs over landings it always amazes me how quickly you climb, nice camera angle it catches you deep in concentration 👍thanks Michelle ♥️
Heavens. you guys make it look so easy that it's almost hard to believe you have any idea what you're doing. ofcourse you do, but it's just amazing for us normal people that this thing actually flies and it's safe and stuff like that.
I enjoy watching your videos. They show the insights of what goes on in the cockpit during critical stages of flight. In your Facebook post you mentioned the different decision stages during takeoff roll. Have you ever had to abort or cancel takeoff during the roll? If so why? Thank you
As far as I know from watching a lot of the show "MAYDAY" local altimeter settings change from one location to the other. It is important to have the correct setting to have precise altitude for landings and takeoffs. But since air pressure varies during a flight, you must have a "standard" altimeter setting to make sure everyone flying has the same reading at the altitude allotted by ATC for obvious safety measures. (Am I making any sense? And am I right?)
I was watching once a videos of young people doing flight allowance/how to become a pilot (in the UK). When I heard about the price you need to invest first to go through the flying school and tests, I said to myself never in this life :P, I would have to save money for many years just to pay for the training, I am now also I think a bit too old to even try to become a pilot. I used to be scared of flying, but now I kind of love it :)
Michelle, the quality of your videos continues to get better and better with each new upload. Nice touch with the multiple camera views! I'm curious, how many flight hours have you acquired in the 737? And how many hours would be needed to apply for a captain seat? Thanks for your content, please keep up the good work! 🙂👍
Hi Chad, thank you so much for your comment! I'm happy to hear that 😃 Oeff,, I think around 5000 or something? I am in the middle of adding up my hours in my logbook. According to the law you need at least 1500 hours to become a captain. Captaincy in my company depends on the number on the seniority list... Probably a few more years :)
I absolutely LOVE your videos. The amount of detail and information you put is amazing!! I’m a PPL right now about to get my instrument rating. I hope to be flying the 737 one day!!
Hi Michelle, another nice video. How much work must that be to add all the informative captions! But they are a valuable addition to your material. Keep up the good work. With you asking where your viewers are going for the summer I noticed that it is hard to find for which company you are flying. I think I know now. Perhaps you wil fly us to LPA on June 10??
Yes Michelle, I always want to learn how do you take off your flight so wonderfully in the windy time so successfully. You are a skillful pilot Michelle who can drive the plane BOEING 737 to any country without hesitation. May you be more successful Michelle
How I wish you were taking me to Thailand. I enjoy seeing you as a Pilot. You are full of confidence. I will tell you something that you might laugh. When I was in school and in my 8th grade. The teacher asked me what you would like to do, when you finish school. I said a Fligt Attendant. The boy who was sitting by the side of me . He was a smart kid. He said he wanted to be a Peelot. Don't laugh when you are flying.
Really interesting video, I have subscribed. It is fascinating to see the complexities of the cockpit and take off ... it's impressive how skilled you pilots are 🙂
Thank you Michelle, for another of your very nice videos, also from Amsterdam, What a beautiful place, The additional camera makes a big difference, I love it. And I would like to know, how long more for your fourth stripe, Thank you so much for your time.
Thank you so much!! 😃Hmm could be only a couple of years If I stay in the company. If I decided to leave and give up my seniority, it could take forever depending on the seniority list of the new company :)
Wow. That was a cool video. How is the stabiliser trim adjusted. It was quite noisy in the video. The wheel on the starboard side of the centre console looked motorised. Do you turn that wheel, or is it done another way ?
Hand-fly as much as you can and during different flight phases. Also in turbulent/imc weather if your procedures allow. You may hardly ever need that skill. Or you may one day save the aircraft by keeping your reflexes well programmed. After the adventures I experienced, I do not believe that hand flying should be limited to short final in vmc (and more of such modern nonsense without a scientific base). People lose their 'edge' when doing this. Have good flights and beautiful views 😎! Greets from a retired aviator.

Thanks! Appreciate it!❤
This video was more than incredible! Congrats!!
How were you triming the aircraft without touching the trim burrons on the yoke? I mean, in the Airbus we don't the trim the aircraft manually, but that's because it has auto trim. The 737 doesn't
The autopilot trims the plane automatically. During manual flight I trim it with the electric trim switches on the yoke! 😃
Well worth the wait. Wish they were longer though. Stay safe Michelle.❤️
I will be flying to AMS in September with KLM . How great it would be if you were at the helm! Love the neat and technical Orientation of your videos.
Graag gedaan!
I've only seen a few of your videos, but I enjoy 'em. I do have a couple of questions, though. Is it usual for the first officer to fly the airplane instead of the captain. And are you going to become a captain one of these days? 🙂
8:41 And what is that thing on the right side of the throttle levers that goes around with a clacking, grinding noise?
The roles are usually changing with each leg. Meaning one pilot flies the first leg and the other pilot the second leg. It is the stabilizer trim wheel :)
Great! Would be nice to hear cockpit convo and ATC.
Agreed, still working on that!
Thank you for letting me into your world. Love the instruments panel and other highlight’s.
Thank you Julio 😃😃
Michelle, Always enjoy the great videos. How often will the First Officer fly the plane? Will it depend on the carrier you are working for? Thanks!
Usually captains and FO both get a roughly equal amount of flying
@@MrSchwabentier Thanks!
Thank you for the "Did you know' sections. I always read them, and no I didn't know, but love to learn.
Very nice camera angle, very interesting. Thank you for producing and shearing. Cheers
Thank you for being here :)
The question about the Transition Altitude/Level:
Air pressure changes permanently due to weather conditions (temperature, meteorologic Highs and Lows, etc), so you set the altimeter to the local pressure at the airport to have the real (and correct) altitude displayed.
Thanks Keith!!😃😃
Heavens. you guys make it look so easy that it's almost hard to believe you have any idea what you're doing. ofcourse you do, but it's just amazing for us normal people that this thing actually flies and it's safe and stuff like that.
Nosewheel steering on the right side? Cool.
You are right!
AN excellent video production once again. Love your graphics.
Good to see you again Michelle. I really love your videos on Aviation. This is very informative and inspiring. ♥
Great to hear, thank you for your kind words! 😃
I’m loving this content, Michelle! 😄As much as I love approaches, takeoffs are just as epic to watch!✈️🙌🏾
Thank you so much!! 😃
@@DutchPilotGirl HELP ME TO BECOME A PILOT I DONT HAVE MONEY
Hi Michelle, another nice video. How much work must that be to add all the informative captions! But they are a valuable addition to your material. Keep up the good work. With you asking where your viewers are going for the summer I noticed that it is hard to find for which company you are flying. I think I know now. Perhaps you wil fly us to LPA on June 10??
Al die geluiden en knopjes word je toch helemaal vrolijk van! Leuke video's maak je! Ik wacht weer op de volgende 👍
Haha dankjewel Roy! Helemaal top, zie ik je volgende week ;)
Cool job, many happy flights in your future!
Dutch pilot always learn something new about flying a plane you're awesome how did plane works safe travels peace be with you thanks 👍😊.
Great Video Michelle. Nice to see a take off 😊
Wow. That was a cool video. How is the stabiliser trim adjusted. It was quite noisy in the video. The wheel on the starboard side of the centre console looked motorised. Do you turn that wheel, or is it done another way ?
I turn the stabilizer trim wheel by means of the electric swtich on the control column (right thumb). You can see it just before the end of the video!
Toller Flug! Liebe deine Videos. Schöne Landschaft!
