There is no perfect cover. I had an Avalanche which I loved, it was dry and dust free. But they no longer make them so, I have a Silverado 1500. I like the BakFlip but went with the Retrax One MX and a couple of seal kits. It is pretty good at keeping water out, a little leaking but I am still working on it. I went with it because I have a Yakima rack system for my snowboards and bikes. The bikes don’t fit in the bed even with the BakFlip since it takes up 10 or so inches open at the front of the bed. I mount my boards or bikes on top but can still access the bed. I could not get in the bed with the rack on. It works for me. So, you need to figure out what you need most and get the cover that suits your needs. I also like the security of it. I travel to some not so great spots and prefer others to not see or have easy access to my stuff. I also shoot competitively so I carry my guns in the back. Good luck

I had a Tuxedo Senty on a f350 no problems. Its aroll up but with hinged slates thT can hold 400 lbs on t op whi h i used for crring a 10" inflatable ready to put in the water. I just ordered another one for my new Chevy 2500hd.
@jefflips8189, correct those wires do stretch out on the Leer cover requiring adjustment from time to time. I wonder if replacing them with aircraft grade cables would be the proper upgrade to prevent stretching.
Question on the 1st cover: You have the additional track system for the Thule Rack, this seems to be an addition to the t-slot rack that comes with the retractable cover (the one you put your basket on). Can you comment on that addition, seems to add a significant enhancement to functionality of the cover. Does it work only with the retrax system or does it work with other covers?
@KC-xu9tl, the Retrax MX one cover and Thule TracRac SR racks and rails were purchased as a package deal. The rails on the Retrax cover are notched to allow the dual T-slot SR rails to mount in the trucks stake pockets. I then used the toolbox slide kit and square crossbars to mount the Rhino Rack Mesh Half Basket above the cover and it's allowed to slide back and forth. The basket is unfortunately discontinued but you might be able to find a similar product. As far as I know these rails and racks are only compatible with the Retrax covers that have the stake pockets notched out. This setup is very stable and able to hold 1,200lbs while in motion. Hopefully someone can answer this for me! The Armordillo cover. Since it doesn’t completely fold up, are you able to easily unlatch the cover from the truck and take it off completely? How fast would it be? Let’s say I needed to completely remove the cover and leave it behind for a trip. Would that be a hassle or no? Thank you!
Robert, I can help answer this as the cover you’re referring to and saw in the video is mine. It’s not hard to remove the cover from the truck. It’s not something you can do quick, say 2 mins or less, but quickly non the less. I’d say it takes about 5-10 mins to unbolt and remove free from the truck.

I'm sure you could find a fuel cell in the shape and gallons your looking for and mount it near the cab wall that's low enough to fit under a tonneau cover / toolbox. Bakflip is the only cover I know of that integrates a toolbox with the cover. amzn.to/3UdYgpg An easier way might be to look into an aftermarket tank that has a higher capacity rather than filling a separate tank and having another fuel pump and lines. Does anyone know if there is a cover like the tri-fold that actually folds up against the glass like Pat was saying? I would like a cover but don’t want to loose bed space if I need to haul something. 10:00
@ItsJustJoe, yes there are several companies out there. On my last truck I owned a BakFlip MX4 Tri-fold -amzn.to/3YufU7E and it will fold up against the cab glass giving you more space. There's also the UnderCover ArmorFlex - amzn.to/3JKnwhT they have a great reputation as well.
I believe mine is a Gator Tri Fold. It folds up against the cab rear window. It is awesome. I've had it for 4 years now and have no problems. Paid around $1,200 at that time.
I had a bak flip on my 2013 f350 is was durable but heavy, I think I’m going with a Lomax this time around with my 23 F350. Seems to be lighter and a cleaner look.

All tonneau covers leak. Also for the guy with the Armordilo cover - Rough Country now has a tri fold flip up for under $800.
