    "Partyswap" is a must have. I just looked it up, it is a mod that lets you get both Handmaiden and deciple as both male and female. so you can play as the Canon version of the game finally, after 15 years!

      @@CatDaddyGaming you get an item in your inventory, its a stim pack or something when you recruit Deciple that lets you swap between them. there are only 9 party slots but you get 10 companions, hence the party swap. I haven't tried it yet myself, but it sounds interesting. I need to try it.

    Be careful with the Skip Peragus mod. It warps you to the arrival on Telos, resulting in Kreia having both hands, and messing up the Ebon Hawk cutscenes. Upon boarding the Ebon Hawk at the Polar Region, the events on board the Ebon Hawk when escaping Peragus will play instead. I fixed it by looking up the warp codes, and funny enough, while most of the mod file was gibberish on notepad of course, the warp code is clear as day; so modify it with the Peragus(Ebon Hawk) warp location. It also gives you some incorrect items

    How do you get mods from deadly stream to steam Kotor 2

    • @CatDaddyGaming
      @CatDaddyGaming  4 роки тому +2

      So download from Deadlystream, then unzip the contents. Find your Kotor 2 game directory, unusually under the drive you install to, steam apps, then common, then find Knights of the Old Republic 2. In there you should find an override folder, take the unzipped contents and drop them in that folder. Maybe take a screenshot of the files your adding in case you need to remove just those mods. I plan on making a video on just how to do this. Some mods comes with an installer but the installer just does all these steps for you. Hope this helps!

      Which mods are you having issues with? I only had one issue with a DeadlyStream mod and I just grabbed the same mod off Nexusmods and it worked fine. Usually 3 main methods to installing the mods. 1) If the mod is big enough it may come with an installer, like TSLRCM or M4-78. 2) After you unzip the mod, you just add it to the override folder. 3) Using a program called TSL Patcher to auto install the mods. Where are you getting them from? If you are getting them from Steam, you just click subscribe on the mod and it installs itself. If you are getting it from a modding site you usually just drop the file into the override folder and are good to go. I have another video with a thumbnail almost identical to this one and in that one I show you how to install various mods.

    • @CatDaddyGaming
      @CatDaddyGaming  4 роки тому

      Yes and no. There is not a mod that does all of those things, but there are mods for each one individually. So there is one for retextured weapons, one for NPC retextures, Ebon Hawk reskins and updated textures. There are hundreds of them. I saw one the other day that makes all the Mandalorians look like Jango and Bobba Fett Style armor. Some super cool ones. Read the authors notes to see if they are compatible or just add them one at a time and test to make sure they work with each other. Make Back Ups of your saves before modding too!

    Usually i support mods and modding community but in this case its a hard pass, the so called restored content mod only adds the droid planet back and nothing else which cannot fullfill the void left by LucasArts studio cutting off 18 months of development from Obsidian (thats the main reason why Kreia is a bipolar character in the game and why ending sucks hard), other mods do not add anything of value to the game they are either just personal memes like changing color of grass from green to red or dumb agenda pushing like that lunatic modder from Malaysia only enabling same sex romances.
    Tbh those modders should band together and try to create KOTOR3 while using same engine instead of modding nonsense like pink Carebears.

    • @CatDaddyGaming
      @CatDaddyGaming  4 роки тому +4

      I disagree. There is way more to it than the droid planet. The droid planet is actually a separate mod that is usaully added into the newer Restored Content mods out there. They fixed tons of issues, added in missing scenes and missing dialogue. New NPC you encounter in the enclave and the HK factory mission. Between the HK Factory mission and the droid planet, there is a large chunk of story told that was completely left out of the original. Considering they restored missing content rather than adding new made up content is an amazing feat. The ending to the game makes so much more sense when you factor in the story elements learned on M4-78 and the HK Factory mission. I would suggest giving it another run through if you missed all that stuff since it really adds depth to the story. The modders are at zero fault for what the developers cut and decided to do. I am super grateful to anyone who takes their free time to make existing games even better. HD textures look amazing even if it's just a few color changes. The resolution of objects are usually scaled up and it definitely shows. Sure the Carebare mod adds no value to the game but it still gave me a good laugh and that's one thing I enjoy so much about modding. Shrek was never intended to pummel you to death in Left 4 Dead 2 but I still chuckle when Smash Mouth starts playing as a massive Shrek charges towards me lol some of the mods definitely won't be for everyone but I still value time and effort put into something that brings just a few people joy! :)

      Yeah cat daddy is totally right. If you’ve played without TSLRCM, and then played with it, you would see huuuuge differences. Stuff that made no sense before it, makes sense now. New conversations, new cut scenes, new dialogue options, etc. it’s a huge mod that added hours.
      The droid planet is an entirely separate mod that most people avoid because it’s boring haha
