  • A wild camp using my Tarp and Bivy in the Cheviot Hills,
A pitch with my Ultimate Views was selected, I went to sleep and awoke to wonderful views and an inversion awaited in the morning, whilst my evening was full of deer activity,
Only drawback was my wife had to pick 7 small ticks off me this morning, all around my middle where my layers meet, she said this was not expected on her relaxing day watching the coronation !!!

Old mate you really epitomise what it is to venture out into the bush, set up a camp in a secluded place with commanding views of raw nature, not a human interference to be seen or heard, have a brew and to absorb serenity. This is a real beaut down to earth video with no pretentiousness, just a bloke in the bush appreciating nature and all its naturalness. 10 out of 10. Your missus should join you, it would have a magic affect on your relationship. Mate give ALL your gear a good spray dousing with Pyrethrin, including your clothes, it'll fix the ticks. The little buggers don't like it one bit. I've just found your site and subscribed. 👍👍👍

Hi and thanks for coming along, yes I just find a spot and enjoy it , unfortunately the missus can’t stand camping lol and I struggle to get the kids to enjoy it !!!!
As for the spray yes I have now tried it, but pricey at £10 a bottle and it just does the little tent, bivy and rucksack but it seems to work so definitely worth a monthly spray.
      Glad you like the spots
      Cheers

Done a fishing brolly and bivvy camp - fabulous! Felt like a slug as my Mountain Warehouse bivvy doesn't have a side zip, but working out how to use this is all part of the fun. I had no idea the thin bivvy material would be so warm! I did most of my night just in my sleeping bag, luckily it didn't rain. Rain is now a worry not a trip stopping disaster, as I got a Uni Gear 3x3 tarp and I am raring to go. I love these videos as you can kit being used, and so I definitely listen to what you have to say. Another simply beautiful spot, you have great taste for the panoramic.

Was going to camp on Windy Gyle but about 20mins from car the thunder started so detoured to Davidson's Linn. Got into the valley and it was so still but what a downpour. It was so humid I didn't bother putting waterproofs on. Got the tent pitched then it stopped, so sat in the grass and had a beer then got into warm gear and passed out to the sound of the rain. Very damp and misty morning in the valley but beautiful.
