- Hi Guys, In this video I’ll be showing you how to make foolproof Hellshire style Jamaican Festival.
Recipe:
3 Cups All purpose Flour
1 tsp Salt
2 tsp Baking Powder
6 Tbsp Sugar
6 Tbsp Cornmeal
1 1/2 Cups Water (more or less depending on the brand flour)
2 tsp Vanilla (optional)
1 1/2 Cups Vegetable Oil for Frying

Hellshire festival has no cornmeal. Jamaican people look at a festival and thinks it's a cornmeal dumpling with sugar, it's not. Hellshire festival ingredients: Water, sugar, vanilla, salt, flour, baking powder. THERE IS NO CORNMEAL IN A REAL JA. FESTIVAL. People will make a Jamaican cornmeal dumpling with sugar and call it festival, it's not. Come to Hellshire and find out about festival.

Thank you. Me always wonder how them festival so soft and nice. I can't find one recipe where the outside is just as soft and nice. All a dem tuff on the outside and traps too much oil with the tuff crust

I think your recipe wrong on the baking powder I tried it exactly and it hard should it be 2 tablespoon baking powder
