For frying, a great oil is canola. It has a high smoke point (butter, coconut, and olive have low smoke points and will start to burn and smoke), it has no odour, it does not degrade as much as other oils (it can be reused easily), and it has a pretty good price when compared to other oils. For those of us who need a bit more help, the oil should be about 300F to 350F. Any lower and the festival will soak up the oil, any higher and the festival will be burnt or raw on the inside.
I tried it, this by far is the best festival recipe I have ever made, I double the recipe, and it was such a success i had to make another batch. Thanks so much for sharing this 😊
