Those dumplings look like the grew up in a loving home with both parents, went to the best prep school and university and graduated with first class honours...
If I ever get my dumplings to look like that, people gonna have to make an appointment to say something to me! 😀

From Huddersfield so not far from manny and I’ve got to say from someone with a Grenadian dad and Scottish mother in their 70s cooking was instilled in us and I had the best of both worlds but West Indian food is my favourite and cook it all the time actually cooking curried mutton now 😂 and I love people that respect the food and love it even when they didn’t necessarily grow up around it. Any time introduce my friends to it they are in awe with the flavours. West Indian food is the ultimate.

If you are having a hard time still, use a thermometer to test the internal temp of the cooked dumplings. If it's at least 195 F/ 91 C it's done. Hold the dumpling and note how it feels. Then, the next time you make it, you can just go by the weight of the dumpling.. But maybe use a paper towel to hold the hot dumplings so you don't burn your fingerprints off lol.

Hi, Chef Morris! I ❤️ your videos. They are well explained and thorough. I have a request...can you please do a video for jerk pork shoulder roast? I know you did one using a different cut of pork - maybe pork chops, but not sure. I would like to see a video explaining jerk pork for a bigger cut of meat. Thank you and be safe!
