I made my first drekko ranch and got like 50 tons of plastic and like 247 reed fiber and it's nothing special but it's the first time I did it and I was proud. All thanks to watching this channel to learn. 😊
Every time I see an account with a picture of a girl, writing comments on gaming topics I get a feeling it is that Omegagamer from the south park episode about wow.
I cant help but be impressed on how well your faring while accepting a new dupe every pod cycle. I would be dead as a doornail by now. Very fun series!
What I love about this game is that I am constantly learning new things about it. I didn't realize that Slimelung only affects dupes that breathe it in. I've been so paranoid about the slime biome, a leftover PTSD from the days when dupes could die from illnesses.
Slimelung, any more is not much worse than food poisoning. Yes, it's a pain because it does slow your dupes down, but as long as they're able to eat and have oxygen and not become over stressed, they'll be just fine. Now, I am careful as to what slime I dig out, when, where and how, because I don't want it throughout their living quarters, but there are very easy ways to deal with it. As for zombie spores on the other hand, that can cause an entire colony to crash overnight. I typically avoid it.
The long long ago where spoms were but myth and legend, and accidentally digging up a slime next to algae would kill the colony. The panic when a single germ got past your ore scrubber.
Narcoleptic Panda Manda- picturing a sleeping Panda falling out of the tree. Some day if you make fancy suits you could give the panda a black & white suit one :D
Another oxygen idea. Bit hard to visualize. Pump polluted water into a storage, disassemble the storage. Take the 5t of polluted water (in bottles) that is off-gassing and stack up like 30-40t in one spot in a "chimney" design where they are on the bottom and the room is like 30 tiles high with nothing but deodorizers in it. Layers and layers of deodorizers. I even put autosweepers on the levels so they auto-feed sand. The polluted oxygen off-gasses up, through the deodorizers, and comes out clean. No temp regulation required either. The trick is to spill a tiny amount of liquid on the bottom of the floor where the bottles of polluted water are. This makes them off-gas to the max, and it does actually take like 25 deodorizers to work. Mine didn't even have any gas pumps, it just vented into the center of my base at like 5k pressure. It really worked well, but I only ran it for like 40 cycles before I quit the colony.
This is similar to use the sublimination station etc. Only issue here though is it will burn through sand like crazy, You would need a magma volcano tamed and crush to get sand or import it from space. Would be nice if there was a way to clean polluted o2 without using sand...hmmm It might be possible to liquify it and let it melt.. I might have to test this.
Saltwater geysers are great for geotuning. Just a couple geotuners can have a single vent spitting out enough steam for a small powerplant, and the salt it drops helps a lot for keeping the geotuners running.
This is getting more and more nerve wracking for me seeing this much dupes in one planetoid😅 Best of luck staying above the curve in the next hundred cycle
I'm what would be considered the level below novice at oxygen not included, but I feel like I've learned a little from watching your videos. I know that the whole bedding situation takes up a lot of space, currently spreading into its 3rd long row and it'll only grow from there (at 112 dupes, you'd need 14 barracks). Since each barracks is 4 tiles high, you could probably use the ladder beds to fit twice as many dupes per area and start cutting down on some long-term space hogging for sleep. If you're worried about the debuff from shaken beds, you could assign the beds by the "row" to certain shifts. So shift 1 people sleep on the top bunk, then shift 2 people sleep on the bottom bunk, etc. Your latrine situation can accommodate what looks like 8 people per shift, which would make about 5 shifts now, with more coming soon. Again, it wouldn't save a crazy amount of space right now, only about 128 ish tiles now, but as you get more and more dupes, using half as much space seems more and more helpful. Just food for thought. I truly know next to nothing about this game so maybe I'm missing a very obvious reason as to why it wouldn't work. Cheers!
I'm only printing ugly criers on my most recent colony and I'm close to cycle 280 and I only have 10 dupes. Nine ugly criers + the frozen friend on the second planetoid. I swear this game loves to mock you. I think it knows what you are panning on trying to do.
You can charge the water sieve with the polluted water that is right by it. Also, pleas open the point of interest building just to the left of your base for the neurovacilator :D
5:54 Gas mask below the fire pole in the mushroom farm. Also why don't you use the critter species changing machine above the 2nd SPOM to get the glossy dreckos sooner???
Careful with your beds going lower in the base, especially with your O2 levels depleting now. You don't want your Co2 rising with reduces O2 levels and your dupes gasping for air while trying to sleep. Running more mushroom farms is a great calorie increase since you have tons of slime. I usually put a storage bin in water loaded with slime sitting in water so it wont offgas, next to the farm then eventually run auto sweepers to fertilize. Yeah you have the dupe power to get it done but its easier done by sweepers which eliminates dupes running around. Maybe you can find the dream machine and put lots of dupes into Coma mode when your frame rate drops. But that definitely comes after the spom. Also having extra hatched sweetles put into those farms from powered incubators will boost your growth rate on mushrooms and decrease your slime use in the long run. Yeah this also means you have critters running back and forth though. IS the juice...
A CO2 Geyser huh? How unfortunate. I've never found any use for them. They can barely keep anything cool thanks to their terrible properties too. Really curious if you'd fine a use for it.
They can aid in maintaining a slickster ranch, a mushroom farm, a sleet wheat farm, and I think nosh bean farms too, and perhaps fill the CO2 engine... but the CO2 engine isn't really even worth the effort... but those are basically the most useful cases I can think of for them unless if you just wanted to do some random side project like making liquid CO2 or even solid CO2 just for the fun of it. But yeah, other than that, pretty much useless taking up precious space getting in your way.
@@skilz8098 If your running nosh bean you will be needing ethanol and that distiller produces insane amount of Co2 so yeah their pretty much useless. far easier to get Co2 other ways that also nets you other resources.
They can be useful in the new dlc, as the aloe vera plant will convert co2 to o2, but can also be used to re-fuel a co2 engine for data bank creation, but I've found that there are lots of ways to capture the co2 needed for a space engine.
@@wolfen210959 That's just it; there are many ways to get CO2, and practically all others actually gets you something else that is useful along with it.

Well done! 👍
What design did you use? Or did you do your own?

My favorite part of the game is when you build something and it works for the first time lol
Best line of the episode…”the mushrooms have kicked in” 11:54
23:27 I thought dupe happiness was the #1 priority on this channel. I'll celebrate when it feels right!
Honestly, narcoleptic redhead suits me pretty well....the hair's not too far off either 😂
Poor Jorje, you've drowned him!!

The island has to be some easter egg
i'm just waiting that magical moment when the ammount of dupes becomes suddenly unsustainable an deverything crumbles ^^
Echo hasn’t even gone to other planetoids yet, there’s definitely more resources so it’ll be a while.

Can't wait for echo to notice that there was another vent or geyser in the tank hes digging for the 2 brine geysers

Just out of curiosity, why did you quit?

Yeah it works you can freeze polluted o2 and let it warm up and it makes clean 02. no sand needed..
Slow and steady wins the race, Eco-Turtle Ridge Racer!
Honey wake up, Echo posted!

absolutely loving the chaos of every episode

If the episodes need to get longer, or if less pods happen per episode, both of those would be fine by me!
Great series, fun to watch
So much to do in the colony! Waring for seeing the next one, the dupes keep stacking!
2:45 alternating the rebuild to every other tile would let you do it in two or three job orders instead of having to micro manage the tasks.
I recently stumbled onto this technique, and I can barely believe how much faster it is.
You can charge the water sieve with the polluted water that is right by it.

I am enjoying this serie a lot!
Dupe Condos, with their own bathroom, sink and shower

Awww... I wanted to be Stinky! LOL.
i'm loving this series i can't wait for m dupe to come around
Could have used your resource list to find the shove vole egg
I was thinking an incubator, but that works too
I wish Klei would implement a drag-disable autodisinfect similar to how you can disable auto harvest in the harvest tool
Really excited for SPOM number 8 at 150 dupes x)
I feel like the left side of the map is just begging for more piping
Wooooo Echo vid❤
This episode made me realize I made my most recent SPOM wrong. No WONDER it’s not staying self powered….
Have you thought about morbs for a water free oxygen production system?
Homework done
You don't have to prime it with clean water. The poluted water into the sive and you are done.
Would it be better for O2 and food to split the duplicants across multiple asteroids? This would mean more geysers to find and transfer over
You should try out a hydra for the next spom. Really changed up my runs
it's a good thing trench foot isn't a thing in ONI
The NG > P Water math is wrong. You can just multiply the NG output by .75 to get P Water
How long until Echo notices the slime off-gasing slimelung in his mess hall?
Echo i wish a good content out of the next episode 😊✌️
wasn't bobbob scared of the dark ?
Someone should make a UA-camr mod that replaces all the things youtubers misread to have the names match what they say. :P
