That's it Sorin. Analyze...analyze and we should find the problem and the possible solution. Excellent.

Excellent class! 👍Amazing troubleshooting, finding a fault like this, another valuable lesson learned.🤓 Never would have thought of this.

The memory socket probably came away from the board because the case is so flimsy, any leaning on it will bend the components inside. Nice work.

exactly what i was going to say, the same problem with other laptops like the lenovo ideapad with soldered ram lifting up and needing a reflow

That’s great i was just thinking about soldering ram sockets yesterday, perfect timing. You dont need to say ram memory, the m in ram already means memory

That metal could it be bent because they pull the RAM upwards without releasing it before ?

At 9:01 looks that pin #1 is not properly soldered on the board, is moving

(1:58) I saw that you wanted to replace the DDR4 DIMM Connector with a donor (I would too, it's quick to blow it off with hot air; of course protecting the other small smd components in the area first). They are cheap on Ali/ss and I ordered them but they never arrived (first and only time that has happened to me, that is, I will continue to buy parts there but avoid that seller). Here I share (if you want to avoid the delay from China) and also relatively cheap:
    mouser, 571-2309409-2 (260P) 260 pin
    mouser, 571-2199155-1 (288P) 288 positions
I liked your solution (I never suspected that it was that lever). A sincere congratulations. Thanks for sharing. All the best.

That ground pin in socket was not soldered Sorin anymore! It moved and you missed it! But yes its only one of many but i waited you to solder it.
8:43 the pin moves from solder point.

Quite often, where humans come in contact, is the point of fault, they brake it. Door handles, on-off switches, power cord connections, improper assembly and so on. I know that sometimes capacitors fail and break pads wear out, but I try to keep the thought, how did they break it. Thank you for the video.

Hey Sorin ! On you new microscope camera did you have to use that c to cs mount space before you put in the .5X adapter? I read in a forum yesterday some else who purchased the RT5109 is having an issue where he said he’s using the .5X adapter but he has vignetting (tunnel vision). He tried both .5 and .35 adapters. I don’t see that in your videos so I wanted to double check.

My guess is that someone damaged the clip when changing the ram by pulling up on the module instead of moving the clip to the side as it is designed to do. I say this because that is not the ram module that that came with system. A simple case of a ram upgrade gone bad.

Anywhere that sells spare laptop keyboard parts for the UK. Dell want £300 to replace wholekeyboard. All I need is correct scissor brackets and key caps for a coupe of keys. I think my son git angry playing a game, ripped the key caps and scissor brackets, threw them out and didn't tell me for months :) what can I do, kids wil be kids.
Anyway, I tried a few months ago, looking everywhere, even bought another laptop top shell which was supposed to be for same laptop, but the scissor brackets were just so slightly different and wouldn't fit, and no way am I taking the whole laptop apart to replace the top case. The way laptops are put together these days is insane.
Laptop is G15 5510 with the darker palmrest top casing.
    Thanks.
