Never Knew even this could happen i was completely focused on the pins 😅..Thank you for making this video.. again learnt something new 🙏
That's it Sorin. Analyze...analyze and we should find the problem and the possible solution. Excellent.
Excellent class! 👍Amazing troubleshooting, finding a fault like this, another valuable lesson learned.🤓 Never would have thought of this.
The memory socket probably came away from the board because the case is so flimsy, any leaning on it will bend the components inside. Nice work.
exactly what i was going to say, the same problem with other laptops like the lenovo ideapad with soldered ram lifting up and needing a reflow
That’s great i was just thinking about soldering ram sockets yesterday, perfect timing. You dont need to say ram memory, the m in ram already means memory
Very satisfying repair in the end with a bit of ingenuity and priceless experience! Bravo!
The speed you work at, is very quick, it takes me ages to find a fault ,lol very good video.
i'm working with this same kind of problem and already tried everything except this one, hopefully it will work now... Thanks Sorin :)
Pla post an update 😁
The same thing happened to me i will do the same thing he did
That metal could it be bent because they pull the RAM upwards without releasing it before ?
At 9:01 looks that pin #1 is not properly soldered on the board, is moving
(1:58) I saw that you wanted to replace the DDR4 DIMM Connector with a donor (I would too, it's quick to blow it off with hot air; of course protecting the other small smd components in the area first). They are cheap on Ali/ss and I ordered them but they never arrived (first and only time that has happened to me, that is, I will continue to buy parts there but avoid that seller). Here I share (if you want to avoid the delay from China) and also relatively cheap:
mouser, 571-2309409-2 (260P) 260 pin
mouser, 571-2199155-1 (288P) 288 positions
I liked your solution (I never suspected that it was that lever). A sincere congratulations. Thanks for sharing. All the best.
That ground pin in socket was not soldered Sorin anymore! It moved and you missed it! But yes its only one of many but i waited you to solder it.
8:43 the pin moves from solder point.
I think I saw the first loose ground pin... on the right side, but I could be wrong :)
common issue with hp notebooks these days, now i know the problem, thankyou
What Happened here? Wow! Nice one as always!
Another great repair. 👍
Good job mate 👍
WOW, beautifull repair, thank you !!!!!!!!! very nice !!
Quite often, where humans come in contact, is the point of fault, they brake it. Door handles, on-off switches, power cord connections, improper assembly and so on. I know that sometimes capacitors fail and break pads wear out, but I try to keep the thought, how did they break it. Thank you for the video.
Sorin, you should make a shirt with a Logo " This is a Nice Laptop".🤣
Sorin is mechanic repair also😂
Hi Sorin. New subscriber. That was pin-fect haha perfect fix, great work! 👍 Have a coffee 👉☕
The master 🤝
8:43 pin 1 is moving
Hey Sorin ! On you new microscope camera did you have to use that c to cs mount space before you put in the .5X adapter? I read in a forum yesterday some else who purchased the RT5109 is having an issue where he said he’s using the .5X adapter but he has vignetting (tunnel vision). He tried both .5 and .35 adapters. I don’t see that in your videos so I wanted to double check.
this metal thingy might be bent when some one try to lift the ram memory whithout pushing the ram lock outword
Sorin do a short video how you open a hp laptop charger quick. Does trick with petrol work? Thx
Good job 👍 👍 👍
It's exactly the same laptop.. the same motherboard. And I can't believe the shirt looks exactly the same.
I have a laptop with two ram slots but the same problem checked them they seem to be ok
Nice one
❤nice sorin
this is a Naaaaaaays laptop. I love you saying this sorin
nice job !!!!! Gz
Very nice new video. ❤❤❤
If it was my laptop it'd get a dose of hot glue . Job done
What! No smoke and solder involved ;)
My hp 13 year's old laptop shows lines in the screen before it gets to black screen , i think it is because the graphic ship , and from year's am Noticing the the RAM clips are Loose, i guess it's because of this i well do the same thing you did and see
The problem is: Somebody was too strong before... and less clever than you :). Nice job!
Dodgy Electronics Repair School 😂
Jokes aside, very smart repair, you teaching us to think before attempting a move.
Nice one Sorin. Another dodgy repair 😂
Where to buy CMOS battery?
Very Nice 😉
Hi Sorin I think possibly someone try to remove RAM without releasing the clips ,good fix regards Jim
would have used masking glue to hold it down :D
What no hot glue?
at time 6:46 it looks like some corrosion at up left pins. Waterdamage?
17:10 ouch!
Min 4 u have a short on mem. socket
Does anyone know what electric screwdriver Sorin uses to unscrew?
He do have a WowStick but now his fancy is a MiniWare ES15!😀
Hello🤝Masterpiece✌👍👍👍👍👏👏👏👏👋👋👋👋
May need to educate customer on correct way to remove memory.
Looks to me like Pin 3 is bridged with Pin 2
My guess is that someone damaged the clip when changing the ram by pulling up on the module instead of moving the clip to the side as it is designed to do. I say this because that is not the ram module that that came with system. A simple case of a ram upgrade gone bad.
100% inexperienced person was trying to upgrade/ replace the RAM module.
I have HP brand that links 9times on charger socket. Anyone with Idea on whta could be wrong?
Can u raiper some lpddr5 laptop
Looks like someone try to replace the ram memory and didn’t do it in the correct way bending the lock tab!
Anywhere that sells spare laptop keyboard parts for the UK. Dell want £300 to replace wholekeyboard. All I need is correct scissor brackets and key caps for a coupe of keys. I think my son git angry playing a game, ripped the key caps and scissor brackets, threw them out and didn't tell me for months :) what can I do, kids wil be kids.
Anyway, I tried a few months ago, looking everywhere, even bought another laptop top shell which was supposed to be for same laptop, but the scissor brackets were just so slightly different and wouldn't fit, and no way am I taking the whole laptop apart to replace the top case. The way laptops are put together these days is insane.
Laptop is G15 5510 with the darker palmrest top casing.
Thanks.
i have asus laptop works only in one slut memory if i plugged two it wont boot up i thought maybe processor pins fault
maybe pouring enough hot glue will solve the problem :)))
That pin is stuck up like a 🦆
all laptops are nice lol
the memory slot has 2 rows of pins, bottom pins and top pins, .... he must check the top pins as well.
100 ceramic caps on the laptop motherboard, 100 ceramic caps on the laptop motherboard, and if 1 ceramic cap should acidentlley short there will be 99 ceramic caps on the laptop motherboard
lol i can't believe

dogi world😝😝
I'd bet after seeing the generic ram installed, that someone pried the ram out not knowing about the spring loaded clips.
you'd most certainly lose that bet.
