      Keep doing what you're doing and you're potentially in a position where Ola would be interested in collaborating with you by that I mean not only will you one day own a stranberg but you just might a signature/custom shop one.

    4:47, best ending ever lol. Very nice guitar, extremely innovative. I for one understand the steep price point, it cannot be cheap to produce these guitars

    Finally a clever guy though this guitar stuff to the end. This is the future of guitar (well, perhaps without the modelling stuff because a standalone modeler is more versatile and ergonomic). And only because at Gibson and Fender there is not a guitarist in a high position, these companies sell crap since decades on the technical standard 70 years ago (they even fail to build correct intonating instruments with compensated saddles - so poor). Imagine that would car companies do. Or computer manufacturers would try to sell you for decades the same unmatured product.
    Concerning this product I have to say that to not deliver the possiblity to use an external GR-55 (which I own) is not a clever decision. For the rest, this is a really great product. Oh, and flaxwood is future of guitar, too (the best dynamic I ever heard in an instrument, tested at Musikmesse Frankfurt, and a really nice sound - from compunt materials).
    My biggest problem is that the next Strandberg dealer is 400 km away (and I live in Berlin!).

    Seems great but I can get a boden for roughly $2k. This is $4300. I don't think the v guitar more than doubles the value of the instrument. Price is not commensurate with feature set.

      Jake Harvey the guitar looks lovely and very pretty but I can’t justify the crazy ass price. You could buy a les Paul traditional and and Ernie ball music man cutlass for the price of this guitar. Also the quilt maple top isn’t even a real slab it’s a paper thin floppy vaneer. I’d buy it for a sensible price but not £4300

      The V-BDN is Japanese made. The Boden series that are priced at 2k are made in Indonesia. That’s an Apples to Oranges comparison. It’s like saying that a PRS core series is 4K while an SE series is 1200. There’s a reason why! Indonesian workers are getting paid pennies on the dollar compared to Japanese and American workers...

    • @5urg3x
      @5urg3x 6 років тому +1

      Brian Jenkins Do you honestly think the sound of the instrument would change if it was a 3/16” maple top rather than a veneer? Lol. Wood isn’t that expensive, btw. You can get an instrument grade pre-bookmatched quilted maple top for like 50 dollars. And that’s not even wholesale. It’s more like half that for a big builder who buys lumber by the truckload.

      @@5urg3x Well, you just further confirmed his point, if it is that cheap why not do it.?

    • @5urg3x
      @5urg3x 5 років тому

      JoseitoEdlVodao Do what? I’m lost. If you wanna save money buy a cheaper Indonesian made Boden standard series and buy the Boss V guitar add-on, and put it together yourself.

    Ola, you really need to spend time on the vguitar forum. They are the experts on the subject with programming talents that shame the Roland guys. To be perfectly clear, Vguitarists want 13 pin access NOT another Variax.

    Can you do bends and vibrato on a fan fretted guitar?

    • @adamsteinbach4899
      @adamsteinbach4899 5 років тому

      Yes, it still works great for that. In my experience, only true temperament guitars really make it hard to bend.

    Great features on a guitar however I am very skeptical about it's battery life. I own a Roland G5 strat which runs on four AA size batteries to activate the Gk pick up but even the best batteries available in my country lasts only for about an hour on the guitar. If the guitar is based on the same technology as the Gk5 guitars then I suppose the guitar owners who plays on a daily basis will have to spend a fortune in buying batteries.

    With all due respect Ola .. guitars made in Indonesia, or Mexico or Korea should have a reasonable price .. your Indonesian made guitars don’t have reasonable price .. labor in Indonesia is very cheap so I don’t see a reason why your guitars should have this high price .. there are so many headless guitar brands that are just as good as Strandberg with even better prices, and better quality as well … engineering wise, all guitars have a lot of engineering work in them not just your guitars .. your prices aren’t reasonable at all, and that neck’s back shape doesn’t make any difference in playing

  • @sumsar0125
    @sumsar0125 4 роки тому

    Great instruments, no doubt, but it would look so much better with a headstock. Tuning machines can stay at the bridge, just "extend" the neck with a lightweight strat-esque head. I know the mere thought is sacrilegious around these parts.

    Unfortunately I don’t think they spoke to synth guitar players. We make much more use of samples, strings,organs,brass, etc. This is a very half baked idea. No 13 pin connector......... good grief ...what a mistake. .....and the price ....Streuth.
