i feel like raifort’s history classes made the towers pretty obvious? like they match the ruins pretty closely aesthetically, it makes sense that they’d be from the same empire as those ruins
When Raifort said sacrifice, I thought she meant using him to distract a dangerous pokemon while she graverobs rather than actively doing the deed herself
I would be interested to see how they handle Lumoise, because it could potentially tie together Horizons to the old series with Clemont being a possible connector between both series
This is just a proof that pokemon games is a progressive never ending wonder stories. That make these world so much to decipher, so much link, so much theories and its such amazing how the writers, was able to give us hints on pre-games up to the new games available. Its so overwhelming! Mindblown everytime.

I cosntantly hear good things about horizons, and i mean the animation also looks really good from what i saw, i guess you 3 and me shoudl really give it a shot! Damn the Move-stuff is really interesting. Like for type relation, i bet for alot people outside of japan, the whole "dark type isn't related to visuals/light completely, but rather evil and bad behavior", must have been a suprise for the first time. And if a move that doesn't sound so obvious has a bit of context/culture/lore behind it, i find it actually exciting as a concept, especialyl related to who will learn it - despite possibly being useless in gameplay. Which is also an unfortunate circumstance when a signature move turns out to be not so copyrighted by the original mon, or frustrating if it doesn't make much sense. (However i also find it frustrating then that Tinkaton doesn't learn every single "hammer-move", and in turn some hammer-move-users only have the reasons of "big fat arms"). + A move called "I'm sorry" just sounds like such a toxic/sarcastic "epic montage"-play. THe history teacher acutally says that stuff? Damn thats metal. The towers existing so a king could "keep an eye on neighboring countries," is the exact kind of Pokemon writing I cannot stand. It feels like post-hoc justification. The exposition could have said anything. There is no logic/function they serve in game that you could have followed backwards to figure this out on your own. The towers are there because it's an open world game and they needed something they could easily litter through the environment that players could climb up, hoping it would hopefully inspire the "go anywhere" feeling of open world games. The real world inspiration doesn't work for me either because we are describing almost every single European region. Borders existed?!? Come ooooon! I ran around Paldea and there's no meaningful evidence of the land mass being divided into different areas. It all feels exactly the same and the game didn't go out of its way to call back to distinct cultures along former regional lines (whereas if you go to Spain or Italy you can still clearly see cultural difference along long-gone borders). I just wish the game DID SOMETHING with the towers that made me go "oh that lines up with my experience in the game, I see how the towers would have been used this way in the past and I am not just buying whatever line they feed me." Like, how did we have a whole conversation about the purpose of the towers here, but we never mentioned what the towers most materially actually do for players? Because i know i was climbing them for the gimmighoul stuff! It definitely wasnt to see what was going on in far off distances because the game's draw distance doesn't support that lol For me and my tastes, something being on purpose doesn't make it good! No player's experience was enhanced playing S/V because it had a particular number of random towers. Game Freak planned this? Bad planning!
I feel like GameFreak tried to copy elements from a few successful games. Breath of the Wild with the open world stuff, but also a poor attempt at capturing the whole 'boarding school' magic of Hogwarts Legacy too (which everyone was anticipating since its announcement). They might have been able to pull it off, had they been given more time to make an actual school, as opposed to just a bunch of rooms you can only access via menus.

The early image looks better than the final release. That girl player looks like Mitzuki from Generation 7, which is better since there is no school setting. The problem with a school-centered region is it forces the character to wear a school uniform, even after class is over. The setting also contradicts the open world idea, because schools are literally places you do not mess around in. School uniforms are rather popular in anime for the design differences and colors, and you can still see the characters in casual clothes when on a normal day. XY did uniforms right by being two-pieces that you can mix them up with other custom clothes. Schools in the past Pokémon games are better because they are minor places you can visit like they are training modes. Being based on real life Spain is a problem because it is trying to make fantasy like reality when it is supposed to be the opposite, and even sex dimorphism can be exaggerated to justify the boy or girl option to keep the characters from looking too much of the same, and never have the same hairstyles and clothes to pick from. Even I tend to mistake Botan, Nanjyamo, and Chiri as male characters at times because of the design choice on rejecting the anime aesthetic.
Do you guys play many other games? Those towers are a staple of open world games, that's why Breath of the Wild did it, and that's all they were really there for in this.
I have a feeling that SV was made during Legends: Arceus' production because LA does not have Abilities, and SV has the Abilities added, but not the overworld Ability effects with it, basically going back to how Abilities work in RS and FRLG. The Let's Go mechanic feels too much like it was inspired by how Daisuke deserted his Hitokage to make it stronger in the anime. The Let's Go function removes strategy, and the OAE scrapping makes the Pokémon too restricted to only doing battles. The missing Loto-ID makes event and traded Pokémon almost meaningless to only complete the Pokédex. Pokémon is fun being Pokémon, especially with its Japanese origins that I do wish the series would be fixed.

The reason Khu presents “cut information” is that it can never be proven wrong. Much less risky than making predictions about upcoming games, don’t ya think?

I’ve always thought gens 6-9, excluding 7, were all written to be connected. All the Europe games probably have interconnected lore.
