Still MrShutterbug is in my top-10 of favourite UA-cam-channels and for a reason! Thanks for sharing this video and please continue making more videos.
@MrShutterBug i hope you are doing well.we havent seen any videos from you lately and i had to make sure i was still subscribed.looking forward to your comeback whoop videos lol
Awesome video and was lots of fun racing you in the race off! Small correction though, most people were still flying analog with the HDZero goggles (which they are still the best goggle for!). I plan on flying digital when the outdoor season starts
Yeah, same to you. The race-off was a blast! My hands were totally shaking afterward! Haha! You must have been flying faster than me because you almost caught up. If there was one more lap, I think you would have done it! Very close finish! Good point about the goggles. Lots of people were still flying analog, including Rog1 who came in 1st place, but I think it's cool to see that HDZero whoops can definitely compete, despite the added weight.
To clarify, not everyone with the HDZero goggles was actually using digital FPV on their whoops. Some people were using the HDZero goggles with an analog module (which works great too), including Coded FPV who did the race off with me. Still, I think its cool to see HDZero whoops competing head to head with analog whoops, despite the added weight. The weight difference wouldn't matter at all on a 5" drone, so I think we can expect to see a lot of these pilots flying HDZero for outdoor racing in the summer.
Nice to have you out and racing with us! The whoop racing competition is getting stiff in Seattle these days. Can’t wait to see how everyone has improved for the outdoor season coming up!
Great race blog. Happy Holidays. I hope you guys are still racing this year and next year 2025. Mr ShutterBug you got the best content great channel. Thanks for sharing. Cheers
I really need to get out to Sumerian for one of these, always something else I’ve committed to in the way. Keep making content, it’s always good! I’m loving my HDZero goggles too - they keep surprising me.
Woah!! Mr. Shutterbug, seeing after a long time. Love your videos. It’s been over a year since I built the guard less nanohawk and I still fly it every day, I love it so much and it’s so much fun… I recently modified it with 75mm frame and 1002 motors and loving it even more. Thanks to you for the initial idea.
That's awesome. I would love to see a video about how organizers out on an event like this. What race receiver system, lap time, announcer system. Just how these bits and pieces go together.
Man, looked super fun...🍻 I'm anticipating HDzero someday. I just raced today and so need to get time to sort my whoops. Hard part is, the weather has been nice and my love for outdoor 5 inch is tugging on me, lol.. Enjoy the Breeze...👍🏻🍻👊🏻
I think I'm going to try and come up for the next Summarian Brewing race! Was down racing with the Sacramento guys over the weekend and I've got the whoop racing bug 😁
That's awesome!! Looks like amazing fun, I'm not there yet. I actually won a radio not that long ago from another UA-camr, so iv got a start whoooooooooo. Have fun all!!
Dang you guys are fast, that looks like a lot of fun. I live in Arlington and wish I could find people to help me or teach me to work on my drones. I’d pay for the fix. I just keep buying new ones to keep flying lol😅 I’m only a year into fpv now, I absolutely love it. rad video, take care
Great to see a new video from you! I was getting worried haha. I wish we had a place like that for whoop races in my area. Looks like a ton of fun. I'm not sure how I feel about that circular view on your fpv cam but I can see your point about being able to see more stuff around you. Looks weird in DVR playback though lol.
Haha! Yeah, it looks weird when you first put the goggles on and it looks weird in DVR. But I don't even notice it while I'm in the air. I just focus on my flying and I have great spatial awareness. It's really nice actually!
@@MrShutterBug I played it back again and put my face closer to the screen to kind of simulate the goggles view and I can see why you like it now. Still looks weird though lol
Awesome video and congrats! I have Mobula6 HDzero and agree the stock motors are underdone. Did you have thoughts on 0702 versus 0802 as upgrade option? I notice you went with 0802.
Thanks! I think 0802 is good for an HDZero whoop because you're carrying some extra weight. 0702 is becoming a popular choice for whoop racing, but I think 0702 would be best on a really light analog build.
@Mr ShutterBug of course not ..... view looks great I loved mine but it only lasted a couple flights then started rainbow partying and cutting out, not sending video. Really disappointed I break everything anyways but it taunts me with clear feed followed by cut outs. Starting to become an analog fanboy.
great video. Im just wondering what should I get I live in WA where the weather sucks rn so I'm thinking a whoop what should I get. i have ELRS or CRSF
Whoop'n indoors is great for those rainy days! It's not too hard to build one from parts. If you want one premade, then you can check out the BNF drones from Happymodel, or Betafpv, or NewBeeDrone. I think they all have BNF whoops with ELRS built in. Have fun!
Hi, as someone who would want to get into this type of flying, would HDzero system be the best way to enter the space, or is Walksnail a good option. Thanks.
arent those launch pads upside down? just asking cause I was going to print my own as my mobula7 struggles to not yaw into a spin when using launch-control
Hi Nate. I hope you're ok. If you have other things to do its ok, but just don't go away please. Since more than a year that I wondering what happened. And I need your help with something that you are an expert. I bought a Meteor 85 this comes with 1103 11000KV motors and GF 2015 2-Blades propellers. But I like the grip that it has the Gemfan 2023 3-blades propellers.. But a friend of mine told me that change going to burn my ESCs.. Its thats true..? and if its is, how coult prevent it?
Dont stop. We like your videos. LIKE bottom pressed. I SUBSCRIBED here from Brazil.
i though i was the only brazilian fan !
new video finally nice to see you again

What a great final heat for the 2nd place tie breaker!

Hi,
How was your past year?
You havent uploaded in a while.
Would you make a short one?
Nice to have you out and racing with us! The whoop racing competition is getting stiff in Seattle these days. Can’t wait to see how everyone has improved for the outdoor season coming up!
Very nice! I've got a set of the HDzero goggles on order and am really looking forward to the upgrade.

Nice to see a video Mr Shutterbug, I miss your content. Great racing BTW, wished we had around here.
Love your content, great to see a vid from you!
Great racing!

I've been searching for good racing videos for days. Thanks!
Haha, Skittles and Ribbit just sitting in casually as race directors. What a great crew!
Great to see Mr. Shutterbug just enjoying the hobby! 🥈
I love that full sensor 16:9 view. It wastes some of the bandwidth on the lens, but I see more and it's a nice effect.
Awesome man. So much fun I know.

So cool to see so many people getting the hdzero goggles!
Hello, missing some new builds.. i think you have some good perspective where things can go!

Give a meteor65pro frame a try. The 35mm props add soooooooo much to the performance of these 65mm hd whoops! Better flight time, handling, and speed.
I'd love to race that track one day.. the venue is amazing
wow
Haha, Nate just rear ending everyone. 🤣
haha... not on purpose

That was intense 🤓
Great job! Nice video. What are you guys using for your timing system?
I think it’s an ImmersionRC race timer. They’re hard to find these days though.
@@MrShutterBug ok thanks!
Nasty Nate taking out other pilots! lol nice!
Haha! Not on purpose. 😅

Haven’t heard from you in 6mo hope things are well
I’m good. Just been busy.
@@MrShutterBug good to hear
I know you’re not currently making videos, but are you still flying? There is a whole new gen of parts out here now
I honestly would still prefer the analog feed compared to the HDzero, not a fan of the pixelated static. Nice run though keep up the good work!
was thinking the same but after a few bats you get used to it and i now prefere it
arent those launch pads upside down? just asking cause I was going to print my own as my mobula7 struggles to not yaw into a spin when using launch-control
Having the grippy rubber pads on the top side help to keep the whoops from falling off.
what was that race timer?
I think it’s an ImmersionRC timer. The club has had it for quite a while.
@@MrShutterBug it sounded so much better than my ImmersionRC puck 🙂
@@fishbonez5670 oh yeah, it’s not the puck version. It’s an 8-way timer that hooks up to a laptop.
Its been a year since your last video. Whats going on? Your the whoop guy. 😢
Yeah, sorry about that. Life is just very full these days. I still love whoops though. :-)
So you can race HD zero alone side analog?
Yes you can. There’s no issue with interference nor with the timing system.

I would come up there to fly if they didn’t make me have AMA, I just find that none sense with a tiny whoop
U got so many drone sir..give me 1 drone please..lol
+1👍 💪
