You definitely beat me on price. But I really wanted the river rock green mica paint with the gray leather. Some dings here and there and some surface rust but plan on taking care of that. Being from similar climates, what’s your plan for the current rust on yours and rust proofing for winter?
@@atischer07 as soon as i can get this range rover project off my hoist, I plan on getting the LX up in the air and probably going to aim for replacing all “moving” suspension components and for the frame rails/underbody, most likely a wire wheel and undercoat job of some sort.
Ha! I bought a 1 owner, 2000 yesterday with 220k. Car has been in VA it’s whole life so rust is minimal. Still amazing. I plan to do some cosmetic interior work. I bought it through a Toyota specialty shop that has a stellar reputation. They really know these vehicles. They went through the car and just did $4k work..... Water pump, belts, alternator, valve cover gaskets, plugs, all fluids, transmission service, and a long list. Michelin tires are like brand new. I paid $12k. It rides as nice as my 2010 Expedition with 106k miles, the a/c blows colder, and the ride is more quiet.

I’m looking into an LX570 for my next rig, but it will be an older low mileage vehicle like this one. That’s the way to do to. Buy an old luxury suv that was owned by an old lady and not driven much.
Yeah that 4speed automatic doesn’t help it much as far as efficiency and speed. But these cars are purchased more to satisfy the hobbyist needs at this time and age haha!
I have an 02 same color combo, got mine with 190k though for 8k. Had a great carfax and maintenance history, always has been a FL car, with 0 rust anywhwere. I love the thing, only drawback is the gas mileage, but none of my vehicles get great MPGs so not a huge deal. You lucked out though, with that mileage its barely broken in. Only thing ive done is buy new tires. Some moderately aggressive tires really change the appearance. I got 285 nitto trail grapplers on the stock wheels.
@@MJAltairy no doubt about that man.I've fortunately been working remotely the last couple of years, so I'm thankful to save a bit on commuting to/from work. Hopefully the gas prices go down soon though I'm not holding my breath. Regardless, you'll enjoy it as long as the primary maintenance is done.
Im planning to do a comparison vid of my brothers GX vs my LX here soon to go over some basic likes and dislikes of our SUV’s. I love the LX but the one gripe that i have with it in comparison to the Gx is the lack of “oomff” when pressing that gas pedal and the 4spd trans vs the GX’s 5spd does play a role in that as well as probably a weight difference. But the LX definitely has this more “premium” and “mature” feel to it vs the GX.

My one has around 55302(89000km)and I know ones that have lower mileage. Definitely not the lowest milage but good for American standard.
Yeah cars overseas don’t get driven “long distances” like they do here in America so for American standards it’s pretty good.

Nahh, you dont want it. It’s too laggy and very unresponsive touchscreen especially in the colder weather. We ended up removing it.
