Ahh so this is how you have different patterns move into different sounds.

Hi can you tell me, when I load a new kit, so load Kit...then the custom patterns are all gone. so the own finished sequences in the sequencer as a start, can you tell me how I can call them up again?

Where did you get the rack for the two devices? I have both and would like a better solution that what i have.

From Synth Toys! They have an Etsy store and they are handmade and super sturdy. Lots of different options for not only Elektron gear but also other machines. Tell em Ponchy sent you 😉

Can you do a video on blending, layering recently sampled sounds (a kick from another piece of gear) with the synth machines?

Yes! Will definitely do one on this

Does the kit have to be saved for it to be associated with a pattern? Also, how does the kit actually get set for a particular pattern?

Great questions! And my bad for not mentioning that in the video. The kit does NOT have to be saved to be associated with a pattern. The pattern kit is set by whatever the active pattern is at that time. Even if you start with a saved one and clear the kit (revert to default kit) within the same pattern, it will simply use the cleared kit (which has become the active kit) and the saved one will remain intact unless you actually overwrite it.

Thanks for this! When you copy a kit to a new project (for example a kit within the preset project) do you also need to copy the samples over seperately?

Yes I'm pretty sure you do, and they need to be in the same sample slot, so difficult to make copying kits across projects usable.

No prob! Yes it only works best with the analog-only kits.

Does all this work the same way on the Analog Four MKII?

    • @Ponchy

Yeah for the most part. I’ll make a video about the Analog Four kits as well.

Thank you big time. I’m particularly confused about saving sounds in a kit. I though that parameters such as synth on/off or sampler on/off is saved when I save a kit. Yet when I then move to another pattern using same kit, the synth and/or sampler on/off setting is not saved. Same goes for envelope and LFO. What am I missing?
