I recently received the Pagani and am quite impressed! Very nice finish throughout with a mesmerizing dial, but there are some price point crudities (the bracelet chamfering is not symmetrical on some links). But overall, it's a nice comfortable watch with just enough heft to be noticeable but not distracting.
    Some niggles of mine:
    1. The major one is the bezel alignment. Pagani's QA/QC is pretty poor in regards to bezel alignment for their Royal Oak homages, because I've seen it crooked in a few examples. Mine is twisted counter-clockwise a couple of degrees, so the bezel's octagonal edges doesn't line up with the case's octagonal edges. And I doubt there's a real way to fix this without ruining the watch. However, this issue doesn't bother me too much once the watch is on wrist.
    2. Removing the links was a challenge, though it was my first go at it (this is my first bracelet watch). My pin tool came with another watch and was rather cheap (it bent once, but I hammered it straight again), but it managed to do the job. But some of the the pins were awfully tough to remove.
    3. Thankfully, I was able to fit the bracelet decently on my wrist. But on bracelet with no micro-adjust, it would have been great to have one set of half links to facilitate fit better.
    4. Legibility is an issue. The minute and hour hands are mostly fine, but the sweeping chrono seconds hand is just a thin sliver that's too short. I'd imagine it is much worse on silver dials (mine has a blue dial).
    5. The screw down crown and pushers are difficult to unscrew when they're on the wrist. The pushers are a bit small, and the slim case sits right on the wrist, making it difficult to use your fingers to twist the pushers open. And once you unscrew it, you'd want to screw it back tight because that's where the watch's water resistance comes from.
The Cadisen definitely looks like a block of steel compared with the Pagani, and it's one of the many ways they've gone away from making a straight-up AP Royal Oak homage. The Royal Oak's reputation is in part due to how thin AP was able to make the case on an automatic in the early 70's. So for Cadisen to make a homage, but make it thicker and chunkier, is kinda weird. With that said, I've never seen or handled the Cadisen in person.
For me, the Pagani feels quite refined and comfortable, so much so that I am now considering better steel sports watches on bracelets. In the past, I shied away from such watches because they seemed heavy and clunky, and I was apprehensive of their bracelets being hair-pullers. Also, some old HS classmates in the early 00s used to wear bracelet watches without getting them sized, so they were always worn loose and jangly.

Nice work with this mate, for me I'd choose the Pagani for the better wearability.

Thanks for the upload! I spent 5 years buying watches that looked good, and fitted OK (ish). My 2c.... Stick to what fits the best and look OK (ish).

The Royal Oak,isn’t to my liking but this was a good comparison video. Had a feeling the Pagani Design would take it but still not buying one. Another great Video Jason, keep up the excellent work.

Fair enough, I imagine it was more polarising in the day before they became popular

A very relevant comparison for sure, AP homages seem to be really popular at the moment....PD are on the right track, both would benefit greatly by ditching the date window....I won't go into the dial more it'll only set me off....overall PD is the clear winner and I was impressed by the bracelet, not only being an H but they've taken the time to round of the edges, for the money it's a no brainer....🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿⌚🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿⌚

Hey Jason, I'm going to have to go with the Pagani Design. The Pagani logo on the dial in my opinion looks a lot better, finer, and cleaner than the Cadisen. The size is friendlier to my wrist size. The 316L stainless steel over the 304L for its longevity (wear and tear ). Pagani Design has been consistently pumping out more bang for buck watches. They make fantastic homage watches for those that love to wear everyday beaters to keep from ruining our luxury watches. Great vid brother. Keep up the good work. Cheers!

Excellent comparison vid mate. Pretty much all of the copies of the PD I've seen in various reviews have this askew brushing on the bezel, the chronos as well as the three handers. Besides its hands are way too small and dainty. And I'm not sure what to make of the cheaper steel of the Cadisen, so probably there are dealbreakers to both of them sadly.

I’d like to see an homage that has the right shape for the AP chronograph. Pagani is too rounded and Cadisen doesn’t use the right screws.

Great video Jason. For me the Pagani design takes it. My rationale is Cadisen using 'El Cheapo' steel is forgivable penny pinching. It undermines the foundations of the watch. Plus the Pagani is 200m water resistant so should be sturdy for swimming. Imagine if the Pagani cost £10 more and they invested that tenner in the lume. You would have a supreme watch. Still good show PG!

The steel is a really weird one for me. Almost like they thought no one would notice that it was another metal

I own the Pagani and love everything about it except the hands. Too small and blend too much with the face of the watch. (This is more apparent in hand than in videos) Other than that it looks great on wrist!

It’s the PD over the Cadisen for me. It’s not even close. I actually prefer the look of the crown on the PD, and I would learn how to fix the brushing on the bezel. The bracelet and end links on the Cadisen are just horrible. I know from first hand experience, I bought an automatic version of the Cadisen before either of these meca-quartz watches were available.

The first version of that Cadisen was simply unwearable, I got rid of mine quickly!

No lume shot? The Cadisen seems to have more lume applied. And a factor for me are my 8 inch wrists. The larger watch will usually win out with me. 🇬🇧 🇺🇸 🇬🇧 🇺🇸 Semper Fidelis.🦅🌎⚓
