I love Pokemon 151 Japanese and English. I bought 4 cases when they were at 50/60 box. The only advice I can really give and this goes for all collectibles. Buy what you LOVE, don’t look at these as an investment. Collect what you love and if some cards are crazy hits that’s cool but that should not be an expectation.
@@lazycube4471 honestly dude I have probably 75% of the cards already that are duplicates. I would suggest buying them as the values are not that high. And then either buy a box or two for fun or use that money to just buy the other individual cards.
@@lazycube4471 I would say go to TCGplayer and look at the art of the cards themselves and if you really like the art and the cards for sure. If you don’t then wait for the next one.
I'm almost 30 man and my philosophy on collectibles is just buy what you like and only "invest" or spend as much as you're willing to lose, because everything has the possibility of bottoming out or even going to zero, but if you had fun it doesn't matter......but yeah if you want to invest there are countless way better ways than pokemon cards, dudes waste so much time and energy caring about this stuff when they're not even physically or emotionally healthy. also a lot of the misinfo, hype, and BS spread around are by people who have a vested interest in something, it's like that in every collecting hobby.
Japanese 151 will always be an investable set no matter how much they print. According to Pokene there may be another reprint in spring of 2025. I hope so cause I had fun buying up boxes at $50. Then $62, Then $70 and now I am still buying at $80. Boxes have gone up $30 in like a month and a half. Twilight Masquerade is an okay set just like Temporal Forces or Paradox Rift except this era's fans were lookin for the next Moonbreon and apparently they latched onto the Greninja. I mean there is 4 trainer cards, 2 Ogrepon's and a Buddy Buddy Poffin in the top 10. Waifu cards being popular for a long time isn't happening anymore. The Greninja and the Eevee are the 2 top tier cards in this set. Apparently people love the abysmal pull rates and judge a set on that. Its Chilling Pain 2.0 with less chase cards. I bought my son the Japanese Greninja for $80. It hase gone up from $60 in July so I guess it doews have staying power if both languages have seen gains but the English is going to crazy. Been waiting for the crash but it hasn't.
I see comments like that all the time on Facebook posts. I will admit tho, most people probably don't even know what cards are in brand new expansions. Which is why we need great content creators like you who post regularly* to keep the buttery smooth brains informed! 😁
I think I'll keep my money instead of banking on Pokemon cards....I Already lived through the 90s baseball card and beenie baby craze and got out Just in time. Pokemon Packs and cards are grossly overpriced and 99% of the time spend 100× what you get.
I actually bought a lot of twilight mascarade because i really like the set. Its one of the only sets i been trying to complete. Sometimes you just have to buy what you like and enjoy. Thank you for the video 👌
Is the reason for Pokémon cards to keep getting reprinted or restocked by the manufacturers vs. baseball or football cards cause there are no cards with serial numbers or super Refractors 1/1 in the set? Sport cards only have so many boxes stocked and dont get reprinted once sold out cause once all the serial# cards are gone, no will buy. Unlike Pokemon, which can be reprinted few years later. Always wonder that 🤔
