Random thought. Idk if it exists but, I think an ability like “Intervene” would be cool. A hit that would OHKO/maybe even just KO one of your pokemon, gets “Intervened” by your other Pokémon’s ability. Causing the “Intervene” Pokemon to take whatever the total damage was, regardless of type, but the one that gets saved takes no damage. Can only happen once, unless swapped out, then back in. When I was a 4 year old, I had built a team before Erika of 5 Growlithes and an Arcanine. If you told me Arcanine was the GOAT I would have believed you.
Love any mention of Mega Kangaskhan! I was really passionate about VGC in Gen 6, and as somebody who will always uphold 2014 as the best VGC format, Mega Kangaskhan's supremacy, and the way the format revolved around it and countered it, is something really interesting to me. A format which somehow had perhaps the biggest gap between its best Pokémon and the runner-up, yet ended up having such varied teams because everybody knew that and played for it is such a showcase of how metagames develop

Spoiler: It's not Dewgong
The video is ruined now, I really thought it would be Dewgong 😤
Whaaaaat! No way, I honestly had hope. How could you spoil this for me 😤
Damn, no dewgong assault vest? The only true menace.
AYO make this a series. Make a top 10 of every region, then a last video to decide the strongest region out of all of them
Can't wait for Johto video it's my favorite region 🥹 Scizor is my fav pokemon he better make the list
No Dragonite on this list? Kinda shameless
I know 😢
You’re low key mad funny. Just the part where you said “good luck knocking out mega Venasaur bud” with the picture of the little kid crying had me in tears 😂😂😂😂
No Dragonite? Really?
I think it’s cause you could really get it until gen 2
Dragonite constantly gets outclassed by other dragons throughout generations
Also it's typing sucks
SV early meta dragonite is probably the strongest dragonite ever been that too cause it can change typing through tera but that also gets powercrept
@@Blue_chess007been a very long time since I've played any competitive pokemon. But I remember using multi scale thunder wave substitute dragonite, and it being quite good
Arcanine might just be the most perfect pokemon ever. Not only because of its super clean design, but also from a competitive standpoint. Imo, Arcanine has always felt incredibly good, but never completely broken. He's riding that thin line where it's just perfect.
Honorable Mention goes to Dragonite for cosplaying as The God of Pokémon with E-Killer.
No Dragonite??
We're early today, boys
Where is Dragonite?
Random thought. Idk if it exists but, I think an ability like “Intervene” would be cool. A hit that would OHKO/maybe even just KO one of your pokemon, gets “Intervened” by your other Pokémon’s ability.
Causing the “Intervene” Pokemon to take whatever the total damage was, regardless of type, but the one that gets saved takes no damage. Can only happen once, unless swapped out, then back in. Like Intimidate.
A passive follow me sounds pretty darn broken NGL
@@rileyackison4495 that’s what follow me does? That’s dope! I know very little about competitive play. But I love these videos!
0:26 Pikachu "Do you expect me to talk?" No Mr. Pikachu I expect CHU to die!
Best of Jhoto pokemon:
Tyranitar
Scizor
Murkrow
Azumarill
Poiltoed
Raikuo
Entei
Suicune
Porygon 2
Hitmontop
Damn i barely even got 10, with three legendaries
Smeargle over Murkrow probably for longevity
Id switch murkrow for skarmory tbh
@@txtzx do you watch this channel normally? Skarmory is awful in vgc
@@snakexpert552 yeah you're right... but most of the other pokemon here have never seen usage stats near what murkrow saw before tornadus came out in SV
But idk what to move, probably raikuo
Azu over Murk too. Murk was a niche pick and then good in like one ruleset.
Kangaskhan is my favorite Pokémon ever. Glad to see it getting love in the video!
Marowak just became the new Sans the skeleton in pokemon lol
"new sans" Marowak being older than sans:
No Dragonite???
It only started to get decent with dual wingbeat, and only got decent play with tera normal. It can't carry tera anymore, since there are much better candidates in reg e, f and g.
It has a good ability, especially with roost in its moveset to reset it, but that isn't enough to push it over the edge into being one of the top 10.
It lacks utility and stats.
Mewtwo in thumbnail got shafted justice for my boy
as a huge gyarados fan, I see this as an absolute win
I LOVE Clefairy !!! The colour, the Shape, Type & Moves !!!
Those gifs are so cute. Kudos to the artist.
21:36 I've somehow never realized that Venu is a frog. Consider my mind blown!
It's not often depicted moving like a frog. A lot of people had to take-two when it did in Pokemon Let's Go Eevee/Pikachu.
Surprised marowak was competitively viable, i used it for fun back in the day, didnt know it was good
I do think gen 9 could have given Kangaskhan a niche as a fake out scrappy user which would have allowed players to counter Calyrex Shadow Rider and Flutter Mane
imagine being wolfe glick, making a list about the best kanto pokemon, and not mentioning Raichu
Pachirisu was such an insane pick at that tournament I was crazed the team won 😭
I'm surprised Dragoite wasn't on this list, not even as like an honorable mention, cause it itself is quite good over the years
Gengar is my all time fav, I was super annoyed when they removed levitate
Arcanine with no context in VGC: amazing
Arcane in actual Kanto: no moves, worst fire type
Banger vid again, you have a great ability to explain why certain Pokémon perform so well, same with in your tournament videos. Loving all your content man, and the frequency of your uploads is awesome too, you must be working hard.
Just sad I didn’t see muk
Alolan muk was a menace
Betting muk came in 11 th or 12 th for this list
I know this will never happen but I think a ranking of every Pokemon of all time competitively would be cool
Snorlax didn't get dethroned, he just fell asleep again bro.
Seeing my lifelong favourite pokemon at number 1 makes me weirdly happy. I don't follow competitive pokemon that deeply, so while I knew it was good, I didn't know it was so consistently good for such a long time.
I got two words for you: dragon, nite
Making this a series would be SICK! Some of the later gens would definitely make it tough to decide.
