    The two weights to target different parts of the range is a real lightbulb moment for me. Thanks.

    Hey Joe,
    If you would consider covering scapular stability and how to strengthen the muscles involved with load that would be amazing, I know I and many other struggle with instability and resulting injuries.
    Either way thank you for all the immensely useful content

    Brutal cue! Think closer to the muscle. Ankles forward, balls of feet down. 👏🏼👌🏼👏🏼👌🏼

      I'm with you all the way but ! I tried this method and realised they wasnt growing they was just pumped up all the time ,,,I honestly reccomned hitting them twice a week so they have time to repair and grow ,train them so hard that they ache like fuck for days after trust me I have tried everything and this method works but stretch the shit out off them after and forget big weights concentrate on form its works much better mate

    The advice works - I’ve been doing most of what he’s saying for 1-2 years now and I can testify it’s all working as my calves are much improved. Haven’t heard the “ankles forward” bit so I’ll give that a stab.
    And the jokes are coming along nicely too!
    Cheers to the beard 👍

    Joe, thanks for this detailed and in depth video over the most ignored, undertrained, overlooked, hated, neglected and genetically gifted muscle group!
    What is your opinion about "The Knee Over the Toes Guy" *(Ben Patrick)*?
    He recommends training the Tibialis as well?

    I trained my calves with every techniques , slow , fast , heavy , volume full rom ,,, All and still nooooo change. I think you can change every part or muscle in your body but if you have bad calves genetically sooo no matter what you gonna do it will be the same or maybe 5% of gains .

  • @eagleelisei

    Wouldn't the strategy with lighter load on peak contraction and heavier in the lengthened part work with the lateral dumbbell raise for the mid delt? light one working only in the top range of motion and a heavier one working only in the first part of the range (kind of doing partials intentionally with different weights depending on the part of the range of motion to stimulate the muscle effectively)

    • @HypertrophyCoach
      @HypertrophyCoach  3 роки тому +1

      Yup

    • @eagleelisei
      @eagleelisei 3 роки тому +1

      @@HypertrophyCoach I'm also thinking of applying it to triceps. Heavy overhead dumbbell extensions performing the first 65% of the motion focusing on the lengthened part and light dumbbell kickbacks performing only the last 35% of the motion focusing on the peak contraction
