Samsung, I love some of your products: however, your Apple bashing game leaves much to be desired. If you're looking to hire someone to up the game of your PR/marketing/promotional team, look no further. You will sell more than enough phones to pay my seven figure salary. It will be money well spent. You know where to find me.
Louis Rossmann well, i think there big problem with software and apps and i also find out when phone is hot its kinda working slower.. well s7 u can put in cold water, iphone probobly not ..
Not true, they were giving the offer of $29 battery replacement after they said that they were slowing some phone down to have their batteries last longer. They said that the offer will only last for 2018
As an android user, you have to give apple credit for the battery life nowadays. Like iPhone 11 pro max battery tho, it's amazing. I remember when iPhones genuinely had shit battery
I was just thinking the same thing, its only $29 because they admitted to slowing down phones, otherwise it would have been at least $80 for the replacement. I do however have to praise apple on there service, its for the most part extremely good service, when you dont run into any actual problems due to them trying to wiggle out of it.
Naif Mansury Samsung makes the world's best lithium batteries... i dont think companies should poke fun at each others tech but lets be real here, Samsung has been making some of the most reliable batteries for years now AND they only get better especially with the recent revolution in lithium battery technology. Apple has good reason to be scared of Samsung
They don't just make batteries and phones, they make a lot of great products. Nothing man makes is perfect nor ever will be, but samsung > apple by miles for sure.
Naif Mansury Samsung is better than Apple in so many ways, especially their military division. Does Apple have tanks? Didn't think so. Definitive proof that Samsung is better than Apple.
Went to Apple to change my battery in my IPhone 6+. Waited a couple of hours. Went home and discovered I could not type most letters for emails or text. Had to come back and waste another couple of hours. But they said the screen was defective because of (tech jumbo jumbo)..? Anyway aside from inconvenience they did the right thing and replaced my phone with new older stock, no charge. Bottom line, I give them a F for replacing the battery but A+ for customer service.
Harvey B. I had a crackling sound from my front speaker on my iPhone 8 Plus. I just needed to wait one day and i got a brand new phone just because of a bad sound quality.
Even here in india my friend got a dead pixel line on his 6s plus and got a new replacement, this was getting a new phone which ofcourse mean new battery!!. Thats one thing no other company provides.
Old comment but they're NOT new 99.9% of the time they are refurbished, so when you give them the phone that broke they will send it away at a sweatshop to have it repaired and than repackages it as if it were new. (I work for apple)
I don't know about the USA but here in the Netherlands they have a pick-up service which works as follows: - They send someone to YOUR ADDRESS to pick up the device - They fix the device with original Samsung parts and quality (or so they claim) - You can check on the progress with a Track and Trace-ish feature - After it's repaired, YOU pick a date and time to get it back, not the other way around To get a Samsung device fixed, you don't even have to leave your house. Apple, on the other hand, has a support page that literally just tells me to get my ass to an Apple Store (the equivalent of Narnia in EU countries) or to send it to them. Neato.
After i flood my mom iPad, i called to "customer service" and hear only in Apple store.... sup 1000km from my home, in another country. Poland doesn't have Apple store but have a official distributors and carriers. I go to my carrier and ask "how u service apple product" they send to third party service, not official service.
DommoPA I’m safe to say that Samsung has stuck with the shittiest OS for several years and that their clunky system in reality has trouble competing with iOS
I have an LGv20 with a 3rd party 10000mha battery, it uses a case to hold the battery so its not to fat it looks like a phone with a normal otter box case
I wrote on a Samsung forum a few months ago that my Samsung Tablet just suddenly died when I was watching a movie and they repaired it for free, even if it was out of warranty. They installed a new motherboard for my SM-W700 which costs about 250-300$. I have a lot of respect for them. p.s. after repairs they gave me a printed report on what they have done and what replacement parts they used. My tablet still looks like new after the motherboard replacement.
Bad engineering I guess, it was a flaw in their product and multiple users had the same issue. Probably they acknowledged the issue and most likely I'm not the only one who got the new rev.2 motherboard.
Will K Your mindset is what you get when all you hear about is apple being shit then you assume everything else is like apple so it must be shit so if you hear something about a company doing something that’s not shit then it must be false. Your mindset is why apple makes billions yet makes shit and other companies do good but don’t become successful.
Had minor "screen burn in" on my old Galaxy S8+ and Samsung replaced the entire handset for free they even covered shipping costs. This greatly increased resale value when I upgraded.
Hold on.. the reason Apple is offering the battery replacement at a lower price because of BatteryGate. It took a TON of negative advertising and press to get Apple to finally do this.
Lol fanboy. I just watched the video on s9 vs iPhone X and it destroyer the iPhone X in every aspect. S9 could very well be the best phone out there period!
@Coyote Doesn't seem so tho. Currently OnePlus 7 Pro is the fastest phone if we're talking about real life usage and not benchmarks. Turn off animations and that thing becomes too fast. On iOS, animations are slower so the perception is that iOS itself is slower, whereas shorter/no animations on something like OnePlus 7 Pro is seen to be faster to the human eyes
Remeber when they bashed Applr for having permanent batteries when promoting the S5, then decided to make their batteries permanent for the S6? Samsung fanboys seem to forget that.
@@VictorVargas_ I have an LG V20; they never claimed to be water resistant. The S6 wasn't water resistant and they sealed that up but the S5 was and that had a removable back. Not sure about the S7 - S9 but they aren't marketed as waterproof so your point doesn't hold up
No. They wont sell a logic board. Thats the thing that actually hosted the IMEI and other data about ur phone. The part that is actually considered the phone.
I was just wondering that, would be great fun to try that but probably fairly pricey. I wouldn’t trust it to be sealed from water either but as long as you don’t need some mad heat press this would be great to see
Well, to be fair, the only reason why Apple replace the battery for $29 is because of how they were purposely slowing down phones and how it made them look bad with all the media coverage. And again to be fair, Touchwiz nowadays isn't nearly as bloated as it used to be, I boycotted Samsung phones for years because of Touchwiz and then gave them a chance again with the Galaxy S8, and I'm not disappointed, I don't think it's an issue anymore.
Great video, very valid points. My only criticism is that the only reason Apple battery replacements are so cheap at the moment is because of the whole throttling performance issue. It was a public image damage control move to *massively* reduce the price of battery replacements.
Literally everyone in Samsung's tech support department talks like this. Unless you get sent to the Indian call centers where they are unable to form English sentences without stuttering non stop.
Back around 2002 or so, many cell phones had user-replaceable batteries. It was as easy as putting batteries in a TV remote. Ah, the good old days...........
@@catfunt5583 It used to be like that until around 2012 to 2016, with the LG V20 being the last mainstream flagship phone having a removable battery like that.
$79 is still fair IMO. They're going to get blamed for everything that goes wrong before/after replacing the battery, have to pay retail space, deal with customer service, warranty it, and pay someone to put it in without messing it up. It's still comparable to Samsung's price, and allows you to walk into a retail store to have it done.
$79 to go to an Apple Store and have a new battery the same day (and this is one of the few things the Apple Store can do without fucking up) $70.31 to mail your phone to Samsung and wait however long it takes them to do it and send it back to you Yeah, the extra $8.69 is worth it in this case. Where you can give Samsung the edge is being able to buy the battery for less than $79 and do it yourself if you want.
okay, actually it is the opposite in India. Samsung does it in one day, but there are no official Apple service centres in my area. so have to send them!!
however Louis, make a video on current Huawei condition of being unable to send unlock codes. i am sure you will have more reach. wanted to contact you but could not. so commenting here. Huawei has stopped sending unlock codes , due to which i can't unlock bootloader. check this from here :- www.xda-developers.com/huawei-stop-providing-bootloader-unlock-codes/ kindly check this so that more people knows about this
Louis Rossmann would the walk-in center be any more expensive? NYC aught to have one for sure. I know the phone lady brought it up but you opted for mail-in.
That would be in poor taste considering Samsung actually fixed their exploding phone problem, whereas bendgate hasn't really gone away. Maybe the 8 and X finally stopped bending, but I know iPhone 7s bent as well, and before the iPhone 6, I had an iPod Touch that bent. Samsung even sent out a software update that bricked the Note 7 so that people had to return them or at least stop using them, just to make sure they did everything possible to make sure nobody else got hurt by the defective batteries. If Apple had exploding batteries, they'd probably handle it like every other mass defect: deny deny deny until a class action lawsuit and then they'll finally do something about it.
But didn't the galaxy edge bend with the same pressure at that time? I remember videos showing the comparison. Samsung wisely didn't want to draw attention to that. It worked because everyone now thinks it was just an iPhone problem....
mjc0961 there are still many iPhone 6 and 6 pluses being used today with no bending. Still working fine. Still receiving updates. Can't really say the same for the galaxy to the same extent. The galaxy edge would bend with theme pressure, but would crack more easily. Any way Bendgate has passed. Touch disease however, was a real fuck up by apple and deserves to still be talked about.
@@rjelstyx4909 well Android has great backward compatibility unlike iOS you can easily use a Android lollipop phone with the latest apps but you can't do that with iOS.
It should be noted that the 29$ battery replacement cost is only until the end of the year because of what happened with Apple slowing down older phones...
I'm sure that Samsung service it's better in Korea..... You know Apple is an American company... And your in NY.... Maybe is you were in Seoul you could just walk in to a store and have it repaired.... 🤷🏽♂️
Even then, Apple used to be $79 to replace the battery in-store. Samsung is $70 to replace the battery and get your phone back 3-5 days later. $9 well spent IMO.
if there were not an outcry apple would still fuckup ppl. They were preventing a bigger lawsuit against them and decided to reduce the price (for a short time) to calm everyone down. When it comes to replacing batteries. Yeah u can do it on apple stores in a day. i bet there are quite a few mobile shops 3rd partys which will offer u the same thing done in several hours on a samsung device. Arent you the one who is strongly for that *right* to repair your stuff where ever u want 😂 😂. That price point isnt very valid cause its only for a reduced time and after a huge fuckery. Ah look 30 bugs for battery replacement is good yeah but thats not the case *normally*. I even wouldnt replace the battery from Samsung directly 3rd party is the way to go and cheaper.
It was not too long ago when it was normal and expected to be able to swap the battery by yourself. Thus even faster than in-store - in-anywhere-you-want-to.
Jamil, you're completely missing the point. This video isn't about how Apple is upposedly a saint, compared to another brand. This video is specifically about 1) Samsung's delayed reaction, comparable to someone living under a rock. What's been news 50 years ago, isn't the case still. And 2) Samsung isn't being truthful, by bashing a competitor for something Samsung itself is guilty of. And thus deceiving the cutomer.
you can easily replace touchwiz without rooting im on a note 8 i replaced the touch wiz interface with the pixel launcher and its has a overall better response time
Even though there was a $29 price tag to replace the battery on an iPhone, that only lasted until the end of 2018 and it's like 70 something bucks. Edit: Apple also kind of had no choice to implement that temporary $29 battery replacement after it was exposed they were slowing down old phones (by the way, my iPhone 6 seems like it's being slowed down by apple)
Yeah I think LR does not know about that. Because they had a very big back lash from the public and they had to reduce the prices of replacement. Apple at the time because the battery was not able to power the cpu they had to throttle the cpu with the software update.
@@krishchaudhry2222 I've tried it, the iPhone couldn't even load discord, access 4g on my personal sim and baterry life was a joke. Charging 3 times a day but with the s6 maybe a good 1 but with heavy usage 2-3
Hey Louis, I work at a repair shop called UBreakiFix, we are partnered up with Samsung to provide same day repair for In-warranty and out of warranty. We have about 400 locations nationwide, I believe the person you spoke with on the phone wasn't that knowledgeable. I myself have worked in a call center and she didn't sound confident at all during the call or very informed, the call should have been handled very different then the way that it went.
McLovers book a genius appointment and they will replace it in a hour or two. There was a issue with the OLED panel on my iPhone X and they replaced it free in 45 mins. Friends battery was replaced instore in a hour with an appointment
I subscribed to you today because I realize you are objective in your reviews. We need this. I don’t mind biases if the person admits to be but good job on your videos and video subjects
Your wrong battery cost 89$ for battery replacement at Apple the only reason it cost 29$ atm is because Apple got caught slowing down iPhones through there updating software so to calm down the angry crowd they are offering 29$ battery replacement since the battery is reason older phones are slow in Apple certified technician
@@roxas9383 What you referring to? 07:51 is comparing the 9 bucks difference. It didnt said anything about 29 bucks repairment fee is due to that processor incident.
And you're dumb asf for thinking apple was doing this to screw users over. As iOS updates, it demands more because the phones are getting better, yet they push the same updates to older iphones too. Android does this too, they just don't optimize the OS to their devices so you just end up overclocking your device and losing performance anyways. Apple optimizes iOS to their devices, so they chose to demand less from the processor in order to allow the device to run smoother for longer, instead of constantly overclocking your device and causing your internal components to wear down. Educate yourself
fuck like dude I was using my friends 2nd Gen ipod touch from 2008 the other day. Ran fast as hell. No lag, no pause before opening apps, nothing. A 10 year old device. I can't see a 10 year old android even running anymore. And if it did it would be the slowest shit bag ever.
Ok keeping it simple the 29$ apple battery was just temporarily coz of the case apple had slowing down phones and killin batteries and beginning of 2019 tim apple was complaining ppl werent changing their phones because battery was kept cheap lol
Prefacing: I'm neither an Apple fan nor Samsung fan. Nor hater of either too, though it's fair to say I probably dislike Apple more than Samsung. Some ideas and thoughts... It's possible that Samsung put out the idea of this ad before Apple started offering cheaper battery replacements. Remember that between the reveal that throttling was a thing, Apple admiting it really did happen, and then Apple offering battery replacements at a discount, there are at least a few months interval there. If the ad was produced in that interval, it makes a bit more sense. Not a whole lot more sense, but still. Apple's out of warranty battery replacement program used to be... 79 bucks, right? They cut 50 bucks out of it months after admiting the whole throttling thing. www.macworld.com/article/3245168/consumer-electronics/iphone-29-battery-replacement-faq.html Then again, even at 79 bucks a Samsung battery replacement still costs more. But I don't think that's the focus... the ad is implying that Samsung phones don't have throttling at all. So, more specifically, this is about the scandal because it reached national news coverage. It's all about targeting, but more on that later in the comment. About Touchwiz... believe it or not, lots of people actually love Touchwiz. I'd go as far as saying that some people like it so much that they almost sound like people who cannot live without iOS. Don't believe me? Go to Google and search for "Why do people hate Touchwiz"? The reasoning is simple. Lots of people have used Samsung phones for a very long time, they always had Samsung phones, and they see Touchwiz as an Android version that has more features, that has the apps they use, and that they are familiar with. They don't care about a little bit of extra lag, if it's a bit slower than vanilla Android and stuff like that. And I honestly get it. My mom is having a hard time transitioning from an LG phone to an Android One phone because of the change in interface - even though I tweaked a lot to get closer to LG's own skin. Nowadays they are actually pretty close, closer than ever probably, but familiarity plays a huge role for non techie users. And in a sense, iOS operates in a similar way. From a logical standpoint, and this is a common thing people migrating from Android to iOS will say... iOS interface can feel super clunky and outdated. Not a lot of customization, lots of iPhone users I know have a huge mess of icons, they have a hard time finding apps that they don't use often, the way the configuration menu is organized can be pretty unintuitive when you are trying to reach less common settings, etc. But for someone who is familiar with it and has been using iOS from start, it's really really hard to start over again with something else. Specially for most of the market, who are not necessarily comfortable with messing around until they know what everything is. Ok, given all that, the last thing about it would be... targetting. It's kind of a scummy ad strategy and cringeworthy one, which Apple used in the past against Microsoft, but Samsung is probably targetting people who are not all that much into tech. They are trying to capitalize on the scandal, in kind of a desperate and ugly way, just to create controversy and get the attention of people who don't actually follow what's happening in tech rounds on a daily basis. It's also appealing to fanboys and long time users I guess. Do I agree with it? Nope. My opinion goes line in line with Louis basically. But the thing is, Samsung probably doesn't give a rat's ass about our opinion. They are trying to sell an image for the average joe. And the thing is - it works. Think about it. Just a couple of years ago Samsung had a scandal worth of closing up doors and never selling another smartphone ever again. I don't think Apple capitalized on the scandal, but sure as heck lots of their fanboys did, and the press also piled up. But Samsung somehow managed to not only get out of it, but set record sales on the next device in line. So it must have fans that are close to if not on par with Apple fans. So they keep dancing that dance. Much like other multi billionaire oligopolies. I'm just hoping for some mid-range reasonably priced smartphone with vanilla Android or Android One with direct from Google updates... no middlemen. Of all brands, Nokia might be a candidate. xD
Used to have a note 3 and note 4 and while touch wizz as an interface always bugged the hell out of me their dialer and contacts app is better than vanilla android even now, most of the preinstalled apps on Samsung phones offer better and more functionality than vanilla this becomes even more apparent now while google is stagnating thier own development and a lot of chinese manufacturers ham fisted their own "unique os" into their phones, bullshit like mi pop, miuio and all that other drivel that is way way way way way worse than anything samsung or htc ever did to their phones. Also as op said, touch wizz is pretty neat if you are a casual user that has no tech knowledge whatsoever. On the note4 touch-wizz used to reduce the maximum resolution down to 1080p and additionally make it so that you could fit only a quarter of the apps on your screen compared to vanilla even though for its time it was like one inch larger than most phones. This is exactly what casual suckers need, big shiny buttons and tacky camera filers galore.
Thingey all i can say is well said. That and a twinge of dissapointment when OP does better than my current brand of choice. If everything was under one brand, these videos wouldn't even exist.
I still have a G3 that survived a car crash where the screen was completely trashed. Replaced it, the camera doesn't work anymore but the phone itself still works. I'm not using it as a daily but still. It's impressive.

@@monochrome_linux samsung has gotten way too close for comfort to apple in terms of brand tax. You're much better off buying a mid range phone nowadays. Even the top of the line camera performance can be found in the midrange with the Pixels if that's what you're after.
I have had my iphone 6s for almost 5 years now. No lag. It is still performing as expected. It is how you use your phone and what you put on it. Regarding replacement parts available online, not everybody is a technician who may know how to disassemble devices. Just in case my phone does get defective, I will gladly pay an Apple technician to do the job right.
Except, as louis has shown many times, they either don't fix things properly or say you need to replace the logic board, screen and graphics chip when your device doesn't have a graphics chip and the problem was actually a faulty wire that can be replaced. The genius bar lies about what is wrong with your device to make it seem so expensive to fix that you're better off buying a new one
Great breakdown, although I took from the ad that samsung was referencing the scandal when it was exposed that apple was artificially slowing down their phones as a new product came out. Keep doing what you're doing mate!
Samsung has been making excellent phones since the S6 and S6 Edge. But their hits on Apple were so obvious they were weak. Apple could easily pull an S5 clip from 2014 and it will make the iPhone faster again.
Oh yeah, comparing a new phone to one that is years old. Seems like a fair way to get back at Samsung that didn't make fun of the phone, but instead of the fact that people still use an old phone that does the bear minimum of Apple's latest technology.
The S2 was very good for the time when it came out as was the S4 but my personal favourite samsung phone will always be the s5. I absolutely loved and still love that phone. And although a lot of people didn't I really liked the styling.
This is why I went with Huawei p20 pro. This phone doesnt need to proof anything. BTW Apple with not replace your battery in 90% of cases. Phone needs to be in immaculate condition so they can do it. If there are scuffs or chips on the phone they will refuse the service. Check by yourselves.
This is simply not true. I took my phone in when it was beat up just for a battery replacement - they replaced the entire phone, out of warranty, at no cost - because there was water damage & they said they couldn’t replace the battery for safety reasons.
You must be living in you mom basement too long, Asians knew it and there's a words, If it's not cheating than it's not Chinese, Even a big company auch as Huawei cheat, it's a dslr photo bro
Really, Huawei? Huawei have been known to plant devious code in their OS firmware that potentially (i.e. proof of concept) acts as a phone home beacon that can be remotely activated in China. Consequently the dev's in China can technically speaking, gain full control of a Huawei smart phone/tablet. Still pleased with your purchase?
You really found a niche here on UA-cam that people love to watch. And you've got an actual business to kick. There's something about your success that just feels right.
Louis, you are assuming that people actually spend the time the research what Samsung is saying in the ad. In the words of a famous warrior poet “Ain’t nobody got time fo dat!”
As a video technician I just love those phone talks, when there's no professional section in the callcenter. We once spent about an hour to instruct someone over the phone to de/activate the alarm system so we can do our routine checks.
I took my faulty Galaxy S6 back to my local Samsung centre and just two weeks before my 2 year manufacturers warranty was due to expire, they were willing to change the battery without charging me a penny. That's why I went back to Samsung and upgraded to the Galaxy S8. I'm happy with Samsung.
I've had Samsung for the past 10 years I have no complaints even I've had one or two bad models I'm still loyal to the Samsung you'll never get me on the Apple system
You should do a Google video too. Spent forever trying to find a Chromebook Pixel 2 battery only to find out that Google never supplied parts for it even when it was new. Even the original Chromebook Pixel, you could only ever get third-party batteries shipped from (I think) Thailand.
Am I the only one who actually likes TouchWiz? I've always felt like it got some bad press with earlier Galaxy versions and since then everyone has jumped on the band wagon. Each to their own I guess. Probably the reason I don't mind it is because I've never personally experienced lag with it. It's about as buttery smooth now as the day I got it and I'm talking about an S6 so it's pretty old. The only times I've played around with a stock Android phone, it felt a little simplistic, a little bit ugly and more importantly, it didn't seem any faster.
+Chris Yang You're utter crap. Touchwiz is light years ahead of both google and apple combined. Stock android is pathetically boring. Almost as bad and boring as iOS. Samsungs UI is light years ahead of stock android and iOS combined. It has the most features of any smartphone/ui out there...Whereas stock android and ios are like a prison where you are stuck with whatever they give you.....samsung is the opposite. They give you the most freedom and customizability than any other smartphone. Not to mention the custom CM launcher you can get which will completely redefine the software experience to your exact liking and preferences. You literally can not beat that level of freedom, customization and flexibility.
Eventus Vantos The point of a mobile operating system is to provide all expected functions at tolerable speeds, which is what stock android and even ios has been providing for years. It's 2018 and stock android offers more than enough for any type of user without bothering anyone or being horribly slow. And also, like you said, if you don't like stock android's interface, it can be remedied by a few simple apps. Edit: typos
Eventus Vantos TLDR having too many options that are not implemented nicely is Samsung's issue. Edit: It's the same situation for a lot of other skins like MIUI so I am not taking shots directly at Samsung
To be fair, Samsung's phones these days are not laggy - my wife's S7 that I bought 2 years ago is still going good without the lag - and she's not tech savvy, so she has a lot of nonsense installed on the phone. And this is touchwiz. Sure, Samsung's earlier versions were horrible, but they've seemed to learn the error of their ways. Granted, it is no Moto-G or Oneplus in terms of being as close to stock android as possible, but it's no EMUI
Lakshminarayanan Krishnan Yeah, my S7 edge doesn't run differently from when it was new. Even when I went to the T-Mobile store and thought to check out the phones there, and I was really underwhelmed. My phone didn't feel different from the ones there. It ran just as fast, despite being over 2 years old.
My A5(2015) is still really good. My friends got themselves 2016 or 2017 A5s and you can see a difference just by using them. The A5s(2016-7) always seemed to perform as good or worse than the 2015 version... I really think the 2015 version was a good phone...the new A5s on the other hand...
I Had A Samsung A5 2017, But It Broke After 6-7Months, The Screen Was Unresponsive, It Won’t Charge And Other Stuff. Anyone Know What Did I Do Wrong To Make It End Up Like That? Im Now An Iphone User Cause It Survived Longer Than All Of My Past Samsung Phones
"Stock Android" doesn't mean it's gonna work faster than with an alternative launcher. For instance MIUI - quite a big skin from Xiaomi - managed to produce the fastest SD835 phone experience (tested against other phones with similar hardware and apps installed), and their other phone, Mi A1 which has both an official Android One version and MIUI version, worked faster on MIUI. So, I don't really see why people praise the default skin so so much. Also Samsung is praised for its camera quality, and camera quality is 80% the camera software and 20% actual hardware (given that we are talking about flagship phones where camera hardware is very close in capabilities).

Samsung is the last company who should be making fun of another company’s batteries
Naif Mansury
Samsung makes the world's best lithium batteries... i dont think companies should poke fun at each others tech but lets be real here, Samsung has been making some of the most reliable batteries for years now AND they only get better especially with the recent revolution in lithium battery technology. Apple has good reason to be scared of Samsung
They don't just make batteries and phones, they make a lot of great products. Nothing man makes is perfect nor ever will be, but samsung > apple by miles for sure.
I like Samsung, but the terrible amount of bloatware it has made me go to other brands.

@@tigerbomb1996 was it under warranty ?
I don't know about the USA but here in the Netherlands they have a pick-up service which works as follows:
- They send someone to YOUR ADDRESS to pick up the device
- They fix the device with original Samsung parts and quality (or so they claim)
- You can check on the progress with a Track and Trace-ish feature
- After it's repaired, YOU pick a date and time to get it back, not the other way around
To get a Samsung device fixed, you don't even have to leave your house.
Apple, on the other hand, has a support page that literally just tells me to get my ass to an Apple Store (the equivalent of Narnia in EU countries) or to send it to them. Neato.

Well at least they acknowledged it, apple will be like, " you are out of warranty."

Louis, the 29 dollars is for a limited time. That too cuz of their shady phone battery throttling. Otherwise it's bloody 79 dollars afaik.

Yeah, the extra $8.69 is worth it in this case. Where you can give Samsung the edge is being able to buy the battery for less than $79 and do it yourself if you want.

If they had made an ad about bendgate that was funny, that would have killed Apples brand.
Sir Smiles except they don't bend anymore and everyone already knows about bendgate
I think they'd just respond with ads about exploding samsung phones.

They cut 50 bucks out of it months after admiting the whole throttling thing.
www.macworld.com/article/3245168/consumer-electronics/iphone-29-battery-replacement-faq.html
Then again, even at 79 bucks a Samsung battery replacement still costs more.
Of all brands, Nokia might be a candidate. xD
XSportSeeker the mi A1 is android one and is just costs 200$

I can understand that lol. My iPhone is gonna take 20K to replace the display and the battery. I am getting a samsung
@@monochrome_linux samsung has gotten way too close for comfort to apple in terms of brand tax. You're much better off buying a mid range phone nowadays. Even the top of the line camera performance can be found in the midrange with the Pixels if that's what you're after.
@@sagniksarkar2471 too slow. Alternatively got my Samsung haha. It's not a flagship so it's Ok
@@monochrome_linux Apple a14 would have be a lot better than the current gen of flagship.
Cause of this hype for OnePlus in India ...I switched to Samsung Note
Don't forget about the galaxy S2. That was a beast!

Keep up the AppleBashing, I am a fan!
We have a local walk in shop and they charge around $40 for a battery swap and they don't try to upsell you on other products.
This is why I went with Huawei p20 pro. This phone doesnt need to proof anything. BTW Apple with not replace your battery in 90% of cases. Phone needs to be in immaculate condition so they can do it. If there are scuffs or chips on the phone they will refuse the service. Check by yourselves.
thats chinese brand bro, they stole your infos and sell it to 3rd party.
This is simply not true. I took my phone in when it was beat up just for a battery replacement - they replaced the entire phone, out of warranty, at no cost - because there was water damage & they said they couldn’t replace the battery for safety reasons.
I never use any Chinese hphone, they get old too soon, hardware and software, what do you expect from a copycat

You really found a niche here on UA-cam that people love to watch. And you've got an actual business to kick. There's something about your success that just feels right.
Hell right. It's authenticity.
High capacity batters cost higher compare to low capacity batters. 4500 mah vs " its runs two hours more than iphone 8" lol....
That's how they compare as they know that numbers on iphone are less but its better optimized
one of my favourite features of the lg g5 was the ease of swapping out the battery.
Apple for beta males Samsung comes along and steals apple users girlfriends
Now this brings forward the question... Can you build an entire Samsung phone with the parts they sell on their website?
Mr Berry I doubt you could buy the main board.
Skyler Wallace It would still be an interesting idea to try out. Maybe get that guy who built the iPhone all by himself to try it?
Mr Berry The reason Strange Parts can do it is because he does it in China.
I Didnt realize the video started until 1:00
Samsung has to deal with defamation and lawsuits otherwise they would let loose
Apple is sue happy
You should do a Google video too. Spent forever trying to find a Chromebook Pixel 2 battery only to find out that Google never supplied parts for it even when it was new. Even the original Chromebook Pixel, you could only ever get third-party batteries shipped from (I think) Thailand.
There's plenty of countries that have no apple stores, but have all other manufacturers though.

I like newer ones. Not older ones.
urcritic touch wiz is utter crap. The only thing worse than touch wiz is MIUI.
+Chris Yang
You're utter crap.
SAMSUNG NEEDS TO CONSULT YOU
whenever they're making their next ad.
Only 600 Apple shareholders disliked? That's less than 10% come on guys!
Don't forget that one IOS update that slows older phones.
I hate how the advertisement was comparing a 4+ year old phone to the newer flagship.
Samsung also has recommended certified service centers which could be cheaper. Which is cool they recommended it.
Your phone a5 come in many models same phone but different part me and my sister got j7 same one but both of them are different
Nixum Me That's because the A5 is much slower than the 16 and 17 one.

Wait... They sell the service manual on their page too? Nice
