This is great for semi-aquatic frogs like northern leopard frogs but tree frogs like to be in less of an aquatic environment and really only use water for breeding. They much prefer a forested habitat with lots of ferns, pothos, ivy, and other vines and logs to climb on.

This may be old, I don't know if you've edited the enclosure at all but you should add a filter to the water at least. That water if left to just be still for months and just refilled won't make it better. The waste will still gather.

@Champ Lehner just because they CAN exist in water doesnt mean they do. "A tree frog is any species of frog that spends a major portion of its lifespan in trees, known as an arboreal state." The preferred environment for a tree frog is something a lot more vertical with places to climb and hide, and ideally a mister to keep them damp because Yes, they are amphibians, they need water. just not that much. they're not marsh animals, they're arboreal. it would be a great enclosure for a different type of frog but doesn't really fit the needs of this one.

@@Poraxutation Hello! So I read that you change water about weekly, but how is this done? Do you have some sort of pump to carefully drain the tank with or how do you change the water? I also would like to hear you opinion on a project that I am thinking of, so I have been thinking of creating a tank to have outside, a bit bigger about
      length: 165cm
      height: 80cm
      width: 80cm
Do you think it would work to have outside or do you see any differences/cons in that? I will in that case have it relatively sealed at the top to prevent any sort of predators, birds etc... to get near it. But are insects a danger to frogs in general? I will also keep it at a place mostly in shadow with about 30% sun during the day which is the morning-sun and in (Sweden/north) But perhaps it is best to keep it 100% in shadow?
Perhaps it is a terrible idea if I have totally missed something important about it? Or perhaps it could work very well to have it outside? Ofc I wont be having it outside during cold/winter or late autumn/early spring.
I would also like to hear if you have any thoughts to make a tank in plastic? Would there be something important to consider or does it work just as well as if it would have been a tank made out of glass?
