Just a note for beginners... Recommend never putting Brom's in the substrate... Keep them elevated on background or wood or else they will rot in no time.
Very true. If you DO like the look of the broms but would like a plant to go into the substrate Ide recommend one of the Cryptanthus variety. The "Pink Starlite" and "Ruby" versions are both quite nice and ad a splash of color to a terrarium.

The brown clay false bottoms look much better. They fit the natural look & don’t contrast like the white. There are also new enclosures with drain ports on the bottom. Makes things so much easier. Cool video.

Really cannot. You just add more etc lol. The idea is if everything is right they should be multiplied enough so that when you add the main attraction ha! They are not destroyed. You cannot really over populate them either in my opinion

Here's a quick question. Hope someone can help me with this. Can I wash the rag I use for wiping down my dart frog terrarium in a laundry machine? That is, can I use laundry detergent and whatnot in the process of cleaning the rag? Just to be clear, I'm not asking whether or not I can use chemicals in cleaning the terrarium but if I can use them in cleaning the terrarium tools.
@@Jaywil07 Don't you like to use a microfiber cloth/rag? It leaves the glass so clean looking. Well I prefer it, but since washing the rag might be too much of a hassle, I guess I'll switch to paper too, lest my cloth shopping becomes an expense.
The walls of my vivarium get really humid and a lot of condensation builds up to the point where you can’t see through it anymore. Know how to fix this?
You can vent the top or even get a small fan for the outside top. If you are talking about the film build up they love it the frogs that is. But you can wipe it with clean RO water
growmyown1 carter All animals need water. If you’re referring to still or running water feature then no, they can’t swim. A shallow water dish is enough for larger terrestrial species like Dendrobates. Ranitomeya and other arboreal sp will utilise the broms for water.

Don’t loose faith. Keep grinding. It’s not quick. Your accent is not a hurdle don’t make it that way. Starting creating content you and others will enjoy. Get great at the tags and stuff and you will start to rise.

Nice to see you do a dart from video. I got into dart frogs after I had a 90g aquarium leak and ruin my kitchen floor. 1) you don't need spaghnum moss over the ABG. Thats super old school. Leaf litter over the abg is just fine. 2) you need a way to drain the water out of the drainage layer once it builds up.

I don’t saturate. But in the event you need to drain water you can drill a hole or use a small pump and tube to retrieve that water through the drainage layer. But if done there shouldn’t be too much water down there.

Don’t let the temp go above 80 degrees. Anything above or at 80 will kill your dart frogs. Keep them at room temperature.

The plants get planted into the ABG mix and as it breaks down and becomes bioactive it releases nutrients for the plants.
Substrate barrier looks like garden weedblock. Would weedblock work?

Yes it can.
I heard that long fibered sphagnum moss is actually bad for vivarium's because it can hold bacteria and smell bad after awhile.
Never had this happen.
How do you provide nutrients to the plants?
Light and water just as nature intended. I’m sure animal waste helps and the microfauna do a little as well

No they won’t springtails will stay low for the most part.
You want a screen because frogs don’t do well in stagnant air.

Not enough leaf litter. You shouldn't be able to see any sphagnum. You actually don't even really need a sphagnum layer
